Seguimos con la segunda parte de la audioserie titulada "Érase una vez el Este", y esta vez nos desplazamos en nuestro viaje al Caribe, concretamente a la Isla de la Española, isla que comparten dos países como son La República Dominicana y Haití. Y es precisamente en Haití donde sigue la historia de nuestros protagonistas. Como ya sabéis esta serie o audioserie consiste en varios capítulos en los que se mezclan la realidad y la ficción y en los que hablamos de hechos históricos y de sucesos que están de plena actualidad. Y este proyecto de "Érase una vez el Este", es idea, como ya sabéis, de dos grandes amigos de LA BIBLIOTECA DE LA HISTORIA, como son Juan Lamas, malagueño, historiador, escritor y guionista, y Verónica, barcelonesa, actriz y cantante amateur y gran apasionada por la historia. Ellos son los artífices de esto y les agradezco su trabajo. *En este programa tenemos el placer de contar con la voz de nuestro gran amigo Julio Caronte y de nuevo con la colaboración de Doc Salvaje. Os dejo con el séptimo capítulo titulado "El jardín mancillado". Ya sabemos que es una mala costumbre del ser humano hacer leña del árbol caído. Imaginad que no se trata de un solo árbol, sino de un país entero que una vez fue denominado "El paraíso". Esa denominación duró muy poco tiempo. Haití, el jardín mancillado, pasó de ser ignorado por España, que prefirió centrar sus esfuerzos en lugares más fáciles de habitar, a convertirse en la joya de la corona del Rey de Francia. Cientos de miles de esclavos africanos fueron trasladados allí para explotar sus recursos agrícolas y mineros en esos años. Quiso el destino que una rebelión general de esos esclavos triunfase y todo ese jardín del terror organizado por Francia terminase abruptamente. Las flores henchidas de sudor y sangre esclava fueron cortadas de raíz. Pero como árboles caídos, las estructuras políticas creadas por los esclavos se hacían leña y ardían en las hogueras de la edad contemporánea. Hoy por hoy apenas queda leña que cortar, o eso dicen. Pero si no quedase nada que obtener, ¿Porqué Haití sigue controlada por los poderes extranjeros? ¿Quién tiene interés en cortar todos los brotes de ese jardín? Na jedynym zachowanym portrecie olejnym François Joseph Gosseca kompozytor w dumnej pozie siedzi z piórem w dłoni. Na pulpicie za nim widnieje „Marche lugubre”, a na półce poniżej jego drugie „Te Deum” – obie kompozycje napisane dla upamiętnienia poległych bohaterów Rewolucji Francuskiej. O Gossecu powiedział jeden z krytyków, że był najbardziej zaangażowanym politycznie kompozytorem Europy. Czy to prawda? Nie całkiem. Owszem, oddał swój talent Rewolucji, ale w przeciwieństwie do wielu swoich kolegów po fachu nigdy nie był oportunistą. Za swoje oddanie ideom wolności, równości i braterstwa otrzymał przydomek Tyrteusza Rewolucji, ale jednocześnie przez szalonego Robespierre'a niemal stracił głowę na gilotynie. Dziś jednak to nie jego rewolucyjna twórczość, ale wielka symfoniczna msza żałobna „Grande Messe des Morts” skomponowana w wieku zaledwie 26 lat uchodzi za dzieło życia Gosseca. Wzorowali się na niej wszyscy – Mozart, Cherubini, a szczególnie Berlioz. Kim był François Joseph Gossec, kompozytor trzech epok, który zaczynał karierę u Rameau, a umarł na rok przed premierą „Symfonii Fantastycznej” Berlioza? Continuamos nuestro recorrido por la obra y escuchamos, todavía dentro del Dies irae, el Recordare, el Ingemisco, el Confutatis y el Lacymosa en la versión dirigida por Carlo Maria Giulini en Londres con las voces solistas de Ilva Ligabue, Grace Bumbry, Sandor Konya y Raffaele Ariè (1964). El tan operístico Ofertorio cuenta con la dirección de Tullio Serafin. Versión grabada en 1939 en la que cantaban Maria Caniglia, Ebe Stignani, Beniamino Gigli y Ezio Pinza (total nada). Después, el Sanctus bajo la tensa dirección de Karajan (Viena, 1954). The thirteenth century Dies irae (“Day of Wrath”) is one of the best-known hymns of the middle ages. Containing terrifying descriptions of the “tearful day” (Lacrimosa) in which the wicked are confounded (Confutatis maledictis) and consigned to “acrid flames,” this poem became a standard part of the medieval funeral liturgy. As such, it has been set to music numerous times by composers such as Mozart (Requiem K. 626, 1791) and Verdi (Messa de Requiem, 1874). Further, the chant melody first associated with this text, with its seesawing half-step motion, is often used as a musical trope indicating death, mourning, or the supernatural. You can hear it in places as varied as Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique (1830), Holst's The Planets (1919), and the scores for movies like Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) and The Lion King (1994) among others. While Dies Irae has had enormous cultural influence, the source material might surprise you: the poem was inspired by the prophecy of Zephaniah, specifically verses 15-16 of chapter one (“a day of wrath is that day, a day of distress and anguish…”). As we walk through this passage today, a passage that has fascinated and terrified for generations, I pray that our hearts will be lifted by the surprisingly hopeful note at the end: “perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the Lord.” —Henry C. Nietzsche, já havia alertado e você pode ver isso em mais detalhes no Episódio 10 Vontade de Potência, que uma das forças que mais lutam contra a realização é a inveja. Salieri tinha muita inveja de Mozart e começou a boicotá-lo nas obras que apresentava ao Rei do Império Austro-Húngaro. Mozart foi perdendo espaço nas obras que eram apresentadas nas casas de Ópera mais importantes, mas seu talento nunca deixou de ser reconhecido, especialmente nos que entendiam de música. No final da vida, compor uma de suas obras-primas, a ópera Flauta Mágica para uma casa de ópera frequentADA apenas pelo povo mais simples. Saliere havia boicotado Mozart de todas as formas e um dia ele recebeu uma encomenda que até hoje não se sabe quem solcicitou. A história do Requiem descrita na Wikipedia é essa Em 14 de Fevereiro de 1791, Anna Walsegg, esposa de Franz von Walsegg falece aos seus 20 anos. Em Julho do mesmo ano, bateu à porta de Mozart um desconhecido (possivelmente Franz Anton Leitgeb ou Johann Nepomuk Sortschan) a mando de Walsegg, que desejava uma missa de réquiem para o memorial de sua falecida esposa, mas que planejava dizer que fora ele quem compôs a obra (por isso o anonimato). Recusando-se a se identificar, o mensageiro deixa Mozart encarregado da composição de um Réquiem em Ré menor. Deu-lhe um adiantamento de 50 ducats e avisou que retornaria em um mês com os outros 50 restantes.[2] Mas pouco tempo depois, o compositor é chamado para Praga com o pedido de que ele escrevesse a ópera A clemência de Tito, para festejar a coroação de Leopoldo II na comitiva de compositores de Antonio Salieri.[3] Quando subia com sua esposa Constanze na carruagem que os levaria a esta cidade, o desconhecido ter-se-ia apresentado outra vez, perguntado por sua encomenda. Mozart lhe promete que a completaria assim que voltasse de sua viagem, dizendo-lhe que ficou mais interessado na missa. Todavia, Mozart conseguiu terminar apenas poucas partes do Réquiem antes da sua morte: Toda a orquestração da Réquiem Aethernam, um rascunho detalhado da Kyrie, trechos instrumentais, o coro e o baixo cifrado da Sequentia até a Lacrymosa, esta que apresenta apenas 8 compassos. Também havia todas as vozes e baixos cifrados do Domine Jesu e da Hostias. Wolfgang também deixou alguns rascunhos de músicas, dentre eles uma fuga Amém e outros papéis perdidos. Cinco dias após sua morte, em 10 de Dezembro de 1791, a Introit foi tocada em um serviço memorial para o próprio Mozart na Igreja de Miguel Arcanjo em Vienna, tendo quase toda sua orquestração completada por Franz Jacob Freystädtler (madeiras, cordas e trombones), tendo os seus tímpanos e trompetes adicionados posteriormente por Franz Xaver Süßmayr, vale ressaltar que a participação de Freystädtler não é uma certeza, sendo alvo de discussões entre diversos historiadores e musicologistas.[4][5] Em 21 de Dezembro de 1791, o jovem Joseph Eybler foi encarregado por Constanze de terminar a obra, afinal, Mozart deixou dívidas enormes para Constanze, fazendo com que ela precisasse dos outros 50 ducats restantes da comissão. No entanto, após completar todas as partes dos instrumentos de cordas da Sequentia e toda a orquestração do Dies Irae e do Confutatis, além de ter adicionado dois compassos na linha do soprano da Lacrymosa, Eybler desiste por razões desconhecidas. Após tentar com que vários compositores terminassem a obra, Constanze enfim se aproximou de Süßmayr, este que coletou diversos rascunhos e finalizou a orquestração da obra, além de compôr o resto da Lacrymosa, todo o Sanctus, Benedictus e Agnus Dei, e repetir parte do Réquiem Aethernam para a Lux Aetherna e a Kyrie para o Cum Sanctis Tuis.   O Requiém está pronto e a 1ª temporada do Podcast tmb. Identifying the core material will help you to see what the initial ideas are and how they are developed or manipulated. This week, I use "Confutatis" from Mozart's Requiem as a sample.
