What if you could create a life that fits your Soul, instead of the mould? Are you tired of feeling the pressure to do things in a certain way? Overwhelmed by all the 'shoulds' in life and want to just do things YOUR way? In this episode, Freedom Expert Danielle Knight sits down to share her journey of doing just that. From being stuck, lost and confused to running a thriving business that is built around her passions from anywhere in the world, connecting a soulful community of Dreamers + change makers, being in a loving relationship that nourishes her free spirit and a lifestyle that is a true representation of who she is from the inside out. Having spent so many hours, weeks and months staring at the walls of her windowless office, shrinking herself to fit in with the rules and having the same conversations over and over…Danielle knew she wanted something more than the hamster wheel life she had settled for, but had no idea how to get from where she was - to where and who, she wanted to be. ( She didn’t even really know what she wanted, she just knew THIS wasn’t it ) After her life fell to pieces, she went on a soul searching journey in the jungle of Costa Rica and from that point her transformation to being Uncaged began. She uncovered her version of 'the dream', and found a way to step into it, on her own terms. Now on a mission to share what she knows, Danielle reverse engineered the process she went through and what she discovered, fused it with her expertise, coaching techniques and knack for unlocking potential in others into what she now calls her ‘Freedom Framework", which forms for basis for all of the work she does. In this episode Danielle gets real about: The meaning of Uncaged and why it's important What she had to do before she could clarify what she really wanted The game-changing shift she made that called in the love of her life How to have deep, connected relationships and community What showed her the life she wanted was possible ( and what you may need to find too) The actions she took to be in control of creating her dream lifestyle 6 elements for you to consider to live YOUR version of 'the dream' How to live life on your own terms
Even though she was living a life she had always dreamed of Danielle was suffering from burn out and didn’t even know it. There’s a frantic energy as the pace of our lives seem to be picking up , getting faster and more full. There’s a weariness developing from all the noise, the way we’re bombarded every day with so much information, opportunities, and things to do and our nervous systems are in deep need of rest. Do you feel weary? Like life is going a million miles an hour with so much to do and create and you struggle to switch off or find time to just breathe? Are you giving out more than you’re letting back in? Burn out is effecting more and more of us and our resistance to rest, receiving and deeply THRIVING is keeping us from the freedom we truly deserve. But where do we even start? DANIELLE SHARES: - The way she was living her life that left her burnt out - the catalyst that broke her and the startling deep question she didn’t know the answer to - blurred lines between passion and over-productivity that may be harming you - the deeper needs we've lost touch with and how to tap into them - A rebellion of self love, self care and self worth - Our right to thriving and how you can start to do it ABOUT DANIELLE Danielle Knight is a Freedom Expert, International Speaker, Coach, facilitator and spirited adventurer on a mission to change the way societal pressures keep us stuck and disconnected from the free + fulfilling lives we're truly meant for. Through her one of kind programs, soulful events + award nominated podcast, Danielle has empowered 100's of wild-at-heart rebels across the globe to unapologetically embrace who they are, shake free from the 'shoulds' and obligations keeping them stuck and unlock their potential to confidently step into their own version of 'the dream'. After traveling for more than a decade, Danielle believes there's no 'one size fits all' version for happiness + success and through what she calls 'freedom alchemy' she supports the free spirited, change-makers to re-write the rules, liberate themselves, get super clear on what their path is + confidently leverage their unique gifts to make soulful money + a difference in the world. www.danielleknight.com LOVE + FEEDBACK If you've enjoyed the podcast, I'd be so grateful if you would take a couple of moments, head over to Apple Podcasts, and leave a rating and review + subscribe to the podcast while you're there. BDL traveled to the "Field Trial Area" in Hale County Alabama to talk with Michael Bragg, Paul Couget and Danielle Knight about the Nose To The Ground Alabama blood trailing organization. It was the day after their 4th Annual Alabama Blood Trailing Seminar and lucky for me they were still testing some of the dogs and one of the judges, J. J. Scarbrough, sits in to tell us about the UBT 1, 2, & 3 judging process. I have had this crew on my radio show and it is always a very informative and interesting topic. Stay tune after our interview for the TCNB weekend Alabama River/Lake Millers Ferry fishing report with the newly crowned "Crappie King" Joe Allen Dunn. Enjoy!!
EP 06: ENGINEERING!!! by Danielle Knight
Blogger or Wordpress? That is the question! We promised that a Blogging series was on the way, and here it is! Blogging is something most of us know we should be doing, but struggle to stay on top of. There are so many questions such as "what platform should I use?" and "how often do I need to blog?". We are going to address these questions throughout our series, but join us in our Facebook group www.growwithusmastermind.com to start the conversation now. It's also a great place to get support and advice when you are struggling to build your Teacher Pay Teachers businesses. Ok, get ready everyone. Today we are addressing the popular debate: Blogger vs WordPress. We were a little nervous to record this episode of our podcast because we've witnessed this debate get a little heated between Blogger fans and WordPress fans. But, the bottom line is there is no one-size fits all solution. We were excited to have Danielle Knight from Study All Knight join us for this conversation. Danielle has used both platforms over the years. She was originally coming on as our Blogger expert, but actually just completed a relaunch on WordPress. She has a lot of knowledge on both and shared why she recently decided it was time to jump back over to WordPress. The pressure to switch to WordPress If you have had a website for any length of time and aren't using WordPress you have probably felt the pressure to switch at one time or another. It seems that everyone is being pushed over to that platform, but there usually isn't a lot of explanation given as to why you should switch. The truth is, we don't think everyone needs to be on WordPress. For some of you, Blogger is going to better. For others, WordPress is going to be what you need to accomplish your blogging goals. It truly depends on what you want from your blog. What we are using on our own blogs Angie and I both use WordPress on our own blogs as well as on the Grow With Us website. We made this decision because there are a few things that we want to accomplish on our blogs that are easier to do using WordPress. While we might be able to do some of these things on Blogger it would require hiring a designer to do the work for us or having to find a workaround. But, we'll dive more into that later. Angie actually found Blogger to be a little confusing to use but knows that there are plenty of people that have had the exact opposite experience. About Blogger Blogger is actually owned by Google. That means it comes up easily in Google searches which is always a good thing when you are trying to grow your TpT business. I really like how Danielle explained it. She said, "Blogger is owned by Google. It is a 'what you see is what you get' HTML editor for you to format a blog that focuses on content." And, she's exactly right. If all you want to do on your blog is publish content (blog posts) then Blogger is great to use. It will allow you to accomplish exactly what you are trying to do. If you are looking for a basic blog then this platform is easy to set up and maintain. Things you should know about Blogger: You don't "own" your site - When you have a site on Blogger you don't "own" your site. You can find a lot of information out there about why this is an issue, but I don't think this is a good enough reason to switch. When I was using Blogger this never created a problem for me. There are limits to what you can do - Blogger pretty much limits you to writing blog posts. If you want to change

St. Joseph of Cupertino was a simple, holy, and greatly misunderstood friar. A man who encountered rejection, accusation, and skepticism from his peers—he reached the heights of holiness and union with God, as manifested in frequent ecstasies and even levitating in prayer and at Mass. St. Lawrence was infamous as a radical follower of Christ...to the point where he eagerly awaited his martyrdom of being cooked on a grill, which he was sentenced to by the Roman Emperor Valerian in 2nd century Rome. Lawrence is a saint who puts us all to the test with his ability to suffer radically for Jesus - to the point of a slow and tortuous death. He's been called the "Ragin' Cajun I.T Guru from down on the Bayou.” Ben Boudreaux has been married to his sweetheart Joy (who you heard talking about St. Veronica earlier) for almost 26 years. His varied 27-year career in computers has taken him from banks to business computer agencies to travel agencies, insurance companies, construction companies, and even a few Fortune 500 companies, but his primary and favorite vocation is that of husband and "daddy-man", as his kids call him. He enjoys video games, wood-burning crafts, and being outdoors working on small construction projects. He also gets a kick out of the shocked look on most people's faces when they learn that he and his wife are parents to fifteen kids! He's quick with a dad-joke and on most weekends, can be found working his magic on a bbq pit or on a giant pot of chicken and pork jambalaya. St. Patrick is the saint we think we know for the Irish, beer, and four-leaf clovers—who many of us don't really know at all. Patrick was an unlearned, kidnapped, and unreligious man who overcame the odds and achieved great things for Christ. First off, St. Patrick wasn't even Irish! He was kidnapped by Irish raiders in Britain. But St. Patrick didn't allow this setback, along with his lack of education or religious upbringing, to stop him from doing what God called him to do. Our guest podcaster today is Patrick Sullivan. Patrick Sullivan is a Catholic Speaker and the President of Evango, a Catholic Media Organization that seeks to build a culture of Catholic evangelization and missionary discipleship. Patrick travels internationally to speak at Catholic events, parenting conferences, and to lead retreats and parish renewal missions. St. Joan of Arc KNEW, without a doubt and despite opposition and persecution, that God had called her to a special mission: to save the Catholic King and the Catholic Church in France - and ultimately to save souls for Christ. She was the heroic, warrior saint who shows us how to enter the battlefield for God!Moira of Modern Catholic Mom is a Midwest girl — though she lived for a short while in the South, and absolutely loved it — she still misses those winters! She met her husband, John, while filming a chastity video in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Clearly, they are big fans of irony. The rest, as they say, is history. Marriage and kids has been the best — and most unexpected — adventure of her life! She and John have six kids, work together in a family business and are are in various stages of homeschooling their kids. So far, so good.In her “free time” a.k.a. “when she should be doing something else” she loves writing about faith, family, friends, travel — and everything in between — over at ModernCatholicMom.com. A few random things about her: she used to travel the country and give chastity talks, once testified before Congress on the issue of abstinence education, was kissed on the forehead by St. John Paul II, and Nancy Drew and Anne of Green Gables helped her learn to love her red hair at a time in her life when she absolutely hated it. Her biggest surprise in life has been finding so much happiness in the craziness of the life of a wife and mother. St. Bernadette was the humble saint of Lourdes who loved to unite with Christ's suffering. She was called to reveal the Immaculate Conception by Mary. St. Catherine Laboure had a special mission from Mary. St. Ignatius of Loyola reminds us of the call to live our faith amidst life's struggles. St. John Paul the Great, our beloved Pope, taught us how to find our identity in God. He inspired so many young people during his life, constantly reminding them to find their worth in Christ instead of any false ideas of the world. Our worth can only be found in the sum of God's love for us. His legacy is one of great inspiration and a call to heroically live out the Christian call. Our guest podcaster today is Rev. Fr. Charles Canoy. He is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Lansing in Michigan. “Father Chas,” as he is more commonly called, grew up in Columbia, Missouri. Before entering seminary, Fr. Canoy studied two years at Franciscan University in Ohio and a year in Rome. A transformative 30-day Ignatian retreat during the Lent of 2001 prompted him to pursue the diocesan priesthood and enter Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, where he earned his Master of Divinity (M.Div.), graduating summa cum laude in 2005. On June 11, 2005, Fr. Canoy was ordained to the priesthood of Jesus Christ. He served for five years at two parishes, St. Thomas the Apostle in downtown Ann Arbor and St. Andrew the Apostle in Saline, Michigan. In 2010, he then served on the faculty of the same seminary from which he graduated, Sacred Heart Major Seminary, for four years while completing his S.T.L. degree from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas with a specialty in the New Evangelization in 2014.
