The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In 04/05/25. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. This weekly broadcast examines current events from across the globe to learn what's happening in all areas of people activity. We cultivate Counter-Racist Media Literacy by scrutinizing journalists' word choices and using logic to deconstruct what is reported as "news." We'll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sheena Scarbrough and the rest of Sade C. Robinson's family recognized the full year that's passed since this 19-year-old teen was murdered and dismembered. The Suspected Race Soldier who beheaded Ms. Sade will stand trial next month. Also this week, Scarbrough filed a lawsuit against the establishments where 19-year-old Sade consumed alcoholic beverages with her White suspected killer. Also in Wisconsin, a different 19-year-old black female was mauled by a K-9 while visiting Mayfair Mall. Amirah Walls was bitten for approximately 30 seconds by a security hound following reports of an alleged altercation at the shopping center. But easily one of the most reported incidents of the week was the stabbing death of Austin Metcalf at Memorial High School in Frisco, Texas. 17-year-old privileged black male Karmelo Anthony is accused of stabbing Metcalf to death during a school track meet. Hoards of Suspected Race Soldiers stormed social media to proclaim #WhiteLivesMatter Anthony is alleging he acted in self defense. #10Stops #MinimizeConflict #TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 605.313.5164 CODE: 564943#

5:30 p.m. April 2: Cudahy Police respond to reports of human remains found along Lake Michigan. At Warnimont Park, cops recover a severed human leg. Three days later, Milwaukee police find another unspecified human body part at a playground 11 miles away. A third set of unidentified human remains are recovered from a park just blocks from the previous discovery.    In the meantime, Sade Carleena Robinson, 19, is reported ‘critically missing' by Milwaukee Police on April 1 when she fails to show up for a shift at Pizza Shuttle. Robinson's mother, Sheena Scarbrough, says Robinson texted her that afternoon to ask for money, which Scarbrough says is very unusual for Robinson. The next morning, police respond to reports of a car fire near 30th Street and Lisbon, 2 miles from Robinson's home. Fire investigators determined no one was inside the car, but family members identified the car as belonging to Sade.      Sade Robinson's family joins the searches near the playground over the weekend. While police find unidentified human remains, Robinson's family discovers a blanket belonging to Sade. The distinct pink blanket pictures Sade with her beloved dog, Coco Chanel, who passed away. As more human remains are discovered, the family is losing hope Sade will be found alive.   Authorities descend on a home 8 miles away in West Milwaukee. Investigators spend more than 24 hours searching the upper unit of the duplex, reportedly discovering blood in the stairwell and on a comforter. The homeowner is detained in connection with the remains found.  Milwaukee Sheriffs reveal Maxwell Anderson remains in custody as a person of interest connected to the remains found along Lake Michigan. Anderson has not yet been criminally charged but does have a rap sheet. Anderson has several convictions including disorderly conduct, domestic abuse, and DUI over the last 10 years. In two incidents, Anderson became violent with relatives, and in a third, beat a stranger who intervened in an argument between Anderson and a woman. Anderson is said to work as a bartender for several establishments in the Milwaukee area.    Joining Nancy Grace Today: Matthew Mangino – Attorney, Former District Attorney (Lawrence County); Author: “The Executioner's Toll: The Crimes, Arrests, Trials, Appeals, Last Meals, Final Words and Executions of 46 Persons in the United States” Bill Daly – Former FBI Investigator and Forensic Photography, Security Expert  Dr. John Delatorre –  Licensed Psychologist and Mediator (specializing in forensic psychology); Psychological Consultant to Project Absentis: a nonprofit organization that searches for missing persons; Twitter, IG, and TikTok – @drjohndelatorre Dr. Eric Eason – Board-certified Forensic Pathologist, Consultant; Instagram: @eric_a_eason, Facebook: Eric August Eason, LinkedIn: Eric Eason, MD  Alexis Tereszcuk – CrimeOnline.com Investigative Reporter, Writer/Fact Checker for Lead Stories; X: @swimmie2009 See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Creating a Purposeful Practice of Civility, Shelby believes that civility is not just about how we treat each other. She believes it extends to the characteristics of our own behaviour and how we show up in the world as individuals who aim to build a civil society. On this episode of The Workplace Communication Podcast, Shelby joins us to talk about how to stop hostility and incivility in the world. Join us as we discuss how shifting from focusing on the “difficult” people who prevent us from living collaboratively in a civil society to self-reflection on our own behaviours and decisions can have much greater impact on the world than we sometimes imagine. She also believes that we all could use a little more joy in our lives. Without civility there is little hope of finding joy. Likewise, without joy, civility crumbles. So, she embarked on a journey to bring a little bit of both back into the world. She began a mission to create her own purposeful practice of civility.   Most recently, Shelby founded the Global School of Entrepreneurship™ to provide entrepreneurs with MBA programs that are built around them, not institutions. This week on the Wealthy Wellthy Podcast, I interviewed Shelby Scarbrough.  Shelby and I met through one of my favorite podcast guests, Justin Breen. Justin is a master at connecting the two people who need to know each other. He hit the nail on the head with this one – Shelby and I are cut from the same cloth. She has an amazing story from traveling the world with presidents and dignitaries to becoming a successful entrepreneur who owns an accredited MBA school for entrepreneurship.  In this episode, we discuss Shelby's experiences working with the most powerful leaders in the world. She tells me what traits these leaders share that make them so successful, traits from which everyone can benefit.  Shelby gives us her take on the importance of restoring civility to personal and public discourse, a topic about which she wrote a book titled, Civility Rules. She explains that civility is a personal responsibility and that once people adopt civility in their personal lives, it will return to politics.  Finally, we dive deep into my favorite topic, entrepreneurism. Shelby was raised by entrepreneurs, working in her parents Burger King franchises from an early age. She maintained that entrepreneurial spirit even when she worked in the US Department of State, eventually combining her commitment to public service with her business acumen by opening the Global School of Entrepreneurship.  In this episode, you will learn:  Traits of effective leadership Ins and outs of working with world leaders Effects that a disconnected society has on civility The difference between entrepreneurship and self-employment   Here are some of my favorite Shelby quotes:  What did you learn from being up close and personal to the President?  “For sure, it taught me the meaning of excellence and professionalism, because everything mattered, and I had to learn how to adjust if I was not perfect, but it was a hard lesson at first and a valuable one long term.” What traits or practices do world leaders share that make them effective?  “The top leaders in the world think differently, act differently, and show grace to other people.”    How can we use technology to bring us together? “When you look at all the things that we see in this world of technology, the best use of it is to create better connection. So the ability to look at each other right now (on Zoom) makes for a better discussion in my mind.” Where do you think entrepreneurs go wrong, and what's the difference between those entrepreneurs and business owners that succeed and those that just can't ever quite make it work? “When it's time to pivot, it's nice to have a term for it, but when it's time to stay the course, it's really difficult. There's something that I've worked on a little bit, and it's recognizing when to say, enough's enough, and to do it differently. I first look inward, versus looking outward, and I ask myself what I am doing or can do that will help me achieve whatever my goal is.” Shelby's Myth Bust... “Entrepreneurship is more than a practitioner doing this thing for yourself. It's about building a great business that affects people's lives.”  To learn more about Shelby's MBA School for Global Entrepreneurship, click here.   To purchase Shelby's book, Civility Rules!, on Amazon click here.

Stamford Chidge & Jonathan Kydd are joined by Chelsea authors Mark Meehan and Mark Worrall to look back at Chelsea's 2003-04 season. In part two we pick up the story in the New Year and as is traditional the focus was on the FA Cup. It took a replay to get past Watford and then a fraught 1-0 win away to lowly Scarbrough before a 5th round tie against our nemesis Arsenal. Jose Antonio Reyes two goals in the second half make it four years in a row that Arsenal knocked Chelsea out of the FA Cup. Sickening, and made worse by a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the League days later. Would we ever beat Arsenal? At that moment it seemed unlikley.Meanwhile, Chelsea were progressing to the Champions League quarter finals courtesy of a 1-0 win away to Stuttgart Chelsea's 16th away win of the season and a new record. But who would their opponents be? Arsenal of course!Chelsea drew the first leg at home 1-1 in a cagey affair where Desailly was sent off. But could Chelsea do what no team had managed to do this season and beat Arsenal? In one of the most dramatic and memorable matches in the club's history, Chelsea won 2-1 with Wayne Bridge's winning goal (that sent us out of control) three minutes time meaning 17 games of hurt were now over. Arsenal players were on their knees and in tears and disbelief at the final whistle. Claudio Ranieri was in tears too and we were ecstatic. Joyous. The casualty of our European success was the league where a 0-0 draw at home to Middlesbrough, a 3-2 defeat away to Villa and 0-0 draw at home to Everton ended our title hopes. It all came down to the Champions' League semi-final, against unfancied Monaco, managed by former blue Didier Deschamps. In the away leg, under pressure Ranieri who had been called a 'dead man walking' for several weeks now, completely lost the plot. Not helped by having to play Ambrosio due to Cudicin's lengthy spell injured and some extraordinarily bizzarre substitutions when we should have held out for a 1-1 draw, the 3-1 defeat left Chelsea a mountain to climb in the second leg. This proved to be the case although Chelsea were unlucky to concede a goal thanks to Ibarra's hand on the stroke of half-time when 2-0 up and looking good. Ulitmately Chelsea and Ranieri had blown it in the first leg.A good 1-1 draw and a 1-0 defeat of Leeds to relegate them was enough to secure Chelsea's highest league position since 1955, but this was not enough for Abramovich as Ranieri's walk came to an end a few weeks later.
