As we move into Fall, we find that it is a season filled with a bountiful harvest as well as some unique temptations.
Jason has an amazing conversation with his friend and fellow Bethel Staff member Dave Ward. Being a dad and leader of your home is an honor, BUT it can be full of pressure, fears, doubts, and leaving you in a place where you want to give up. Trust us, we've had our moments. Let's go over some Dad Hacks that can help you live a purpose filled life, which will pour out unto your family. If you don't know Dave Ward…Dave burns for revival, aches for more of Jesus, and wants his life to look like the Bible — miracles on the street, not just in church. Dave has been on staff at Bethel since 2013, serving in BSSM Second Year as both a Revival Group Pastor and Associate Overseer. In 2022, Dave stepped into leading and overseeing our Twin View Campus.Born and raised in the UK and South Africa, Dave met his wife, Bea, at Bristol University while studying Theology. They have been married 13 years this October. Dave prefers beaches to mountains, baths to showers, and movies to TV shows. His favorite thing to do other than spending time on his own, is to hang out with his wife and their four rascals: John, Lucy, Lily and Olivia.Foundations of Masculinity Small Groups: https://www.smallgroups.braveco.org/Foundations of Masculinity For Your Church: https://www.church.braveco.org/Jason's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jayvallotton/CONNECT WITH BRAVECOWebsite: https://www.braveco.org/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/braveco.menInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/braveco.men/Shop: https://shop.braveco.org/ABOUT BRAVECOWe live in a time where men are hunting for the truth and looking for the codebook to manhood. Hey there, remember the old neighborhood bars Riverside and Andes Bruins? How they've been replaced with car lots or shiny new businesses? This week, we take a stroll down memory lane and rummage through the good old days, the bad, and the downright funny. We kick things off with the recent closure of local favorites, Maple and Jackalope's, now transformed into Lake Erie Steak and Seafood, and even toss around some amusing tales about their owner's viral Facebook video.Ever wondered about the real dangers of having an intimidating bouncer? We certainly do, and this time, we're chatting about it. We invite you to join us as we recollect some hilarious encounters with powerlifters Keith Spartano and Dave Ward, with a side order of reflections on our encounters with the law enforcement in Lorraine. As we share stories and experiences about the good and bad cops we've crossed paths with, you'll get a taste of our struggles, triumphs, and the oddities of our past jobs. And that's not all. Ever thought about the pros and cons of getting vaccinated, the impact of population control, or the complexities of immigration? Well, we sure have, and we're going to share our thoughts. Strap in as we debate these hot topics, reflecting on the changes we've witnessed, not just in our quaint neighborhood bars, but in our society as a whole. So, lace up your walking shoes and join us on this journey down memory lane, and who knows, it might even stir up some of your own fond memories. WRP 152 - Fab four. Our focus this week is the English domestic league The Premier XVs which sees it's most competitive semi-finals this weekend. On Saturday Gloucester-Hartpury take on Bristol and Sunday sees Saracens travel to Exeter and we spoke to all four of the club's bosses, Sean Lynn, Dave, Ward, Susie Appleby and Alex Austerberry. From Gloucester-Hartpury the chat circulates around "winning" the league but the most important bit being still to come. Sean speaks about his side's strength around the set piece, the opportunity the club has with this home semi and with the final being at Kingsholm too. In the blue corner, Bristol's Dave Ward, outside of the imminent arrival chat (surprise announcement too!), brings up returning players, where he thinks the west country rivals may be out under pressure. From Sunday's semi-final, Exeter are at home, Susie signifies the importance of that in relation to their victory last week but also because of the crowd and maybe because Saracens have never won at Sandy Park! Is there a wiff of revenge in the air, after last season's final defeat? The Champions come into this game in red hot form, winning their last twelve games! Their DoR, Alex Austerberry, mentions that key word "momentum," but also motivation. where that comes from year after after year. Johnnie suggests the Champions have a super strength, involving the mental side of the game and approach, Alex responds, citing just how important that battle will be on Sunday if they are to win in Devon, for the first time. As ever, there is all the news from around the world; huge result with a dramatic finish on Australia's Gold Coast between Fiji and Samoa. Results from South Africa, France and an update on the WXV qualifiers.#WRP womensrugbypod@gmail.com Coming soon Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
