Let's Chat!!Boo, bitches! This week on episode 211 of C3: Crystals, Cauldrons, & Cocktails, we're diving deep into protection magick — and not the dramatic “everything is cursed” kind. We're talking REAL protection for real witches living real lives. Energy shielding, home wards, wearable protection, return-to-sender work, situational protection, and how to stop leaking your energy into every chaotic situation that wanders into your orbit. Grab your bells, your boundaries, and your emotional support water bottle… (or cocktail of choice, of course!) because this episode is just funny, practical, and witchy enough to make your front door nervous. We have a BIG fire celebration coming up next week and with it comes a BIG Full Moon! So before we jump headfirst into the fun Beltane episode, I wanted to take a moment and talk about protection work and Beltane wards. Because with big celebrations, big openings, and big energy like Beltane we are not just calling in joy and abundance. We are opening doors. And that's a beautiful thing but it also means we want to be intentional about what we're allowing in and how we're holding ourselves while everything begins to expand. So instead of walking into this next week with just our party hats on… I thought it would be really important for us to talk about protection, boundaries, and how we hold our energy steady while the world around us starts to bloom. So today… we're doing just that. We are talking about protection work and Beltane wards so that when we step into that fire next week… we're doing it grounded, supported, and fully in our power! And yes, we're going to talk a little about the Fae… the fair folk… and how they weave into this energy along with the wards we can set for this powerful turning of the Wheel of the Year. We've got this!CharleneHearth & Hen Witchy Work Wishes Patreon

Tune in to "The Other Side of Midnight" with Lionel for a wild, late-night ride through the profound and the absurd. In this episode, Lionel and his eclectic callers debate everything from classified government UFO cover-ups and the existence of extraterrestrials to deep philosophical questions about artificial intelligence and God. The conversation takes unexpected and heartfelt turns as callers share insider secrets on rampant hospital waste, joke about the cold indifference of modern nurses, and discuss the profound, life-affirming joy of volunteering to hold abandoned babies or visit lonely seniors. From a folklorist eagerly waiting to collect alien myths to a caller's utterly unhinged proposal for senior citizen centers, this unfiltered hour will keep you wide awake. message me: what did you take away from this episode? Ep 111 (http://ibit.ly/Re5V) Nicole Hainsworth on from regional wards to how to make CoCE better for students#PhDMidwives #research #midwifery #regional #CoCE #undergradstudents #assessmentresearch link t.ly/YQD0jOne of the fastest ways to improve maternity care is also the simplest: notice what doesn't sit right, then ask a better question. We sit down with midwife and academic Nicole Haynesworth to trace how a career built across regional New South Wales, a high acuity UK hospital, and university teaching turns curiosity into real change for women, babies, and the clinicians learning the craft. We talk about what Nicole brought back from the UK, including a different approach to post-caesarean care that keeps mother and baby together, and how asking “why are we doing it this way?” can shift practice when you involve the right stakeholders. From there, we move into midwifery education, continuity of care, and what Nicole's PhD reveals about students learning best when they feel safe, trusted, and connected to the woman's experience, rather than just being assessed on tasks. Along the way, we unpack practical teaching tools such as shared goal-setting, reflective practice, and making the “hidden” skills of advocacy, autonomy, and accountability explicit. We also look ahead to program improvement in Graduate Entry midwifery, supporting clinicians returning to practice, and the research questions still driving Nicole, including synthetic oxytocin policies and induction, epidural-related fever pathways, and gestational diabetes. If you care about evidence-based midwifery, continuity of care, and better feedback loops between women and the system, you'll get plenty to take back to your own practice. Subscribe for more conversations like this, share the episode with a colleague, and leave a review with the one question you think maternity care should be asking next. The effort to dismantle the illegal doctrines of the US legal and legislative system is quite simply about rejecting being singled out simply for being Native people and cast as wards of the government. We are NOT incompetent! We are NOT inferior! We will NOT beheld in some twisted state of perpetual political and legal purgatory! But some are scared of taking such a bold stance. Some believe the current status somehow protects us. This isn't protection! It's a protection racket designed to oppress us.

Scott Weiland was sent to a psych ward when he was just 16 years old. Thirteen stints at rehab within the span of three years. In and out of two huge rock bands, Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. On and off drugs. Addictions to heroin and cocaine that put him in harm's way, not least of which were three muggers in Paris who abducted and tried to kill him. Addictions that also caused him to hallucinate “demonic forces.” Forces that Scott Weiland fought off, physically and mentally, thanks in large part to his robust survival instinct – one that served him well but could only hold all that trouble and evil at bay for so long. Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday edition of the 3 Martini Lunch, where it's all good martinis on the menu. They break down encouraging signs for a possible Russia-Ukraine peace deal, the federalized D.C. police focusing significant attention on the worst neighborhoods, and the Democratic party posting paltry fundraising numbers as its tailspin continues.First, Jim is "elated" as the Monday's meeting in Washington strongly suggests security guarantees for Ukraine will be part of any peace deal. He's also explains why Vladimir Putin might be playing with a weaker hand than most people realize. But will this agreement get done anytime soon?Next, they applaud the federalized D.C. police for targeting the neighborhoods with the most serious crime problems. Nearly half of last week's arrests took place in Wards 7 and 8, undercutting the left's narrative that President Trump is only creating a facade of safety around tourist areas. Finally, the Democratic National Committee is still in complete disarray, more than nine months after last year's elections. Fundraising numbers from the end of June show the Republican National Committee with five times the cash on hand as the DNC. And Democrat donors are thoroughly underwhelmed with the party's messaging and leadership. Please visit our great sponsors:Keep your skin looking and acting younger for longer.
