Chokachi began his acting career in 1995 on Baywatch in the role of Cody Madison, eventually replacing David Charvet as a main cast member. In 1999, he left Baywatch and took up the role of Jake McCartey in the TV series Witchblade, which lasted until 2002. Following that, he appeared in various TV series and made-for-TV movies. Chokachi then landed the role of main character Justin Healy on The N's 2006 TV series Beyond The Break. He also appeared on VH1's Confessions of a Teen Idol, a reality show in which former teen idols attempt to revitalize their careers.Chokachi was one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" in 1997.Last Call in the Dog HouseThe Dog House is a legendary New York dive bar, owned by an extraordinary family. The group begins to identify Friends characters as their Odyssey counterparts. Sarah points out Christmas week weather in Los Angeles rarely allows for bikinis. David Charvet gets turned into an elusive hitman and Showtime is unveiled as the home of the nostalgic wank. Well, at least in the 1990s. Professional film and television goon Rhino Michaels gets dubbed "Slow Renegade." David Hasselhoff becomes the fourth Doctor What and Justin completely fails to make a joke land.

Several years ago he branched out into selling car collectors' estates that include automobiles, automotive memorabilia, Petroliana, and other auto-related items that collector amass over their lifetime. In his previous careers, David was a performing magician and he is known as one of the foremost historians in the world of magic. He’s authored over a dozen books about magic’s practitioners and his writings have garnered multiple awards. For over 40 years David performed magic around the world. David is a long-time judge at the Forest Grove Concours, now in its 47th year taking place on the campus of Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.
