MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN BY BRINGING BACK THE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE OF EARLY AMERICA: GEORGE WHITEFIELD
IN THIS MESSAGE JONATHON EDWARDS MAKES IT ABUNDANTLY CLEAR THAT THE NEW CREATION IS NOT A TWEAKED NATURAL MAN , BUT A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CREATURE WITH ITS OWN SET OF UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS: JUST AS A DOG AND CAT HAVE SOME SIMILARITIES, BOTH HAVE PAWS AND FUR, YET COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CREATURES, WITH DIFFERENT IMBRED ABILITIES, PERSONALITIES, & MANY OTHER DISTINGUISHABLE PECULIARITIES, & SUBTLETIES: UNDER THE HOOD THEY ARE DISTINCT CREATURES, POLES APART, AND LIKEWISE ARE WE AS TWEAKED NATURAL MAN AMERICANS, ARE POLES APRT FROM WE WHO ARE SPIRITUAL NEW CREATIONS. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? WE AS AMERICANS MUST COME TO REALIZE THAT SATAN IS THE ULTIMATE COUNTERFEITER, OFFERING US TO BE A TWEAKED NATURAL MAN BY OFFERING US A FASTFOOD FREEWILL JESUS, WHO MAY HELP US PULL OUT OF THE POLLUTIONS OF THE WORLD, BUT SATAN WANTS US IGNORANT OF THE FACT THAT THERE IS A BONDAGE OF THE WILL JESUS, IN WHICH WE MUST WAIT ON OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN TO REVEAL THE TRUE JESUS TO US, WHEREIN WE ARE NOW MADE A NEW AMERICAN SPIRITUAL MAN WHICH UNDER THE HOOD HAS CHARACTERS 100% DISTINGUISHABLE FROM OUR NATURAL MAN CHARACTERISTICS. LET US TAKE A FEW EXCEPTS FROM JONATHON EDWARDS SERMON:The SPIRIT of GOD acts in a VERY DIFFERENT manner in the one case from what he doth in the other. He may indeed act upon the mind of a natural man, BUT he acts in the mind of a SAINT as an INDWELLING VITAL PRINCIPAL. He ACTS upon the mind of an UNREGENERATE person as an EXTRINSIC , OCCASIONAL AGENT; for in acting upon them, he doth NOT UNITE himself to them; notwithstanding all his influences that they may be the subjects of, they are still sensual, having not the Spirit, Jude 19. But he unites himself with the mind of a saint, takes him for his temple, actuates and influences him as a new, supernatural principle of life and action. There is this difference, that the Spirit of God, in acting in the soul of a godly man, exerts and communicates himself there in his own proper nature. Holiness is the proper nature of the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit operates in the minds of the godly by uniting himself to them, and living in them, and exerting his own nature in the exercise of their faculties. The Spirit of God may act upon a creature, and yet not in acting communicate himself. The Spirit of God may act upon inanimate creatures; as the Spirit moved upon the face of the waters in the beginning of the creation;[Pg 26] so the Spirit of God may act upon the minds of men many ways, and communicate himself no more than when he acts upon an inanimate creature. For instance, he may excite thoughts in them, may assist their natural reason and understanding, or may assist other natural principles, and this without any union with the soul, but may act, as it were, as upon an external object. But as he acts in his holy influences and spiritual operations, he acts in a way of peculiar communication of himself; so that the subject is thence denominated spiritual. This spiritual light primarily consists in the former of these, viz., a real sense and apprehension of the divine excellency of things revealed in the word of God. A spiritual and saving conviction of the truth and reality of these things arises from such a sight of their divine excellency and glory; This light, and this only, has its fruit in an universal holiness of life. No merely notional or speculative understanding of the doctrines of religion will ever bring to this. But this light, as it reaches the bottom of the heart, and changes the nature, so it will effectually dispose to an universal obedience. It shows God's worthiness to be obeyed and served. It draws forth the heart in a sincere love to God, which is the only principle of a true, gracious and universal obedience. And it convinces of the reality of those glorious rewards that God has promised to them that obey him.
“The Lord saw that the wickedness of humankind was great in the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually.... But Noah found favor in the sight of the Lord.... Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with God” (Genesis 6:5-9).Written and sent out from the morning prayer time of Tommy Hays each day.God bless you and may you have a great day!—Tommy Hays | Messiah Ministrieshttp://messiah-ministries.org
God's people are named “the righteous,” “heirs of righteousness” and even, “the righteousness of God in Christ.” Clearly, righteousness is not just something believers strive to attain; it is something transferred to them supernaturally through new birth. The impartation of righteousness is one of the most amazing gifts God gives to those who love Him. This week's guest is author, commentator, and Slavic Linguistics professor at the University of Oslo, IM Atle Gronn. Atle's most recent book, Games and Goals: The Fascinating Chess and Football Careers of Simen Agdestein books, has recently been released in the English language and is one I have been greatly looking forward to reading. It did not disappoint, as it provides a revealing biography of one of the most compelling figures in modern chess history. GM Simen Agdestein, in addition to being a Norwegian chess legend, and the childhood trainer of Magnus Carlsen, Simen was a supremely talented athlete who played for the Norwegian national soccer team. As a strong player from the same generation as Simen, Atle bore witness to Simen's rise, fall, and resurgence, and also witnessed and contextualizes GM Magnus Carlsen's relentless ascent to the top of the chess world. There are many lessons we all can learn from the stories that Atle shares and I greatly enjoyed chatting with him about his book. Last week we began a new study on the whole armor of God in Ephesians chapter 6. We started off with a discussion of the spiritual warfare we find ourselves in, and defined those principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and the spiritual wickedness in high places that we face. Now, last week, we examined verse 14, having our loins gird about with truth. And we discussed that, in the Bible, when God speaks about the loins, he's talking about what we would call our THIGHS. We discovered how that the THIGHS of a human being is the strongest part of the human body. Now tonight, we're going to examine another piece of the armor in the last part of verse 14… and having on the breastplate of righteousness. The impartation of righteousness is one of the most amazing promises found in the Bible. God's Word indicts the whole human race with the statement, “There is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10). So how is it even possible to become “heirs of righteousness” and have a righteous status in the sight of heaven? (Heb. 11:7) Paul was the main Bible writer who revealed this mystery. On this podcast, the mystery will be unveiled to you. Prepare to be filled with awe and gratitude! Todd answers a couple questions and provides extra insight into Sunday’s passage, Philippians 3:7–11.
Ephesians 6:14 — A breastplate was one of the most important pieces of armor worn by soldiers because it protected their vital organs in battle. As such, when Paul tells the Christian to put on the breastplate of righteousness, he is urging them to protect their vital parts of the heart and mind from the fiery darts of the devil. But how does one protect their heart and mind by putting on the breastplate of righteousness? In this sermon on Ephesians 6:14 titled “The Breastplate of Righteousness,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones explains the meaning behind this passage. He begins by stating that one's own righteousness alone is not enough to be victorious in battle, but rather the only righteousness that can protect is that of God. He then explains the two aspects of God extending his righteousness: imputed and imparted righteousness. Imputed righteousness is the righteousness the Christian receives from God through their faith in Him. But it does not stop there. Imparted righteousness is what makes God's righteousness a part of who they are as they become a new creation in Him. God imputes and imparts His perfect righteousness to His people so that they can be protected and stand firm in the day of battle.

Good morning everyone! Welcome to the Motivated Entrepreneurs podcast. Today we have the book review called "The Go-Giver" by Bob Burg and John David Mann. "The Go-Giver" tells the story of an ambitious young man named Joe who yearns for success. Joe is a true go-getter, though sometimes he feels as if the harder and faster he works, the further away his goals seem to be. One day, desperate to land a big deal at the end of a bad quarter, he seeks advice from the enigmatic Pindar, a legendary consultant referred to by his devotees simply as the Chairman. Over the next week, Pindar introduces Joe to a series of 'go-givers': a restaurateur, a CEO, a financial adviser, a broker, and the 'Connector' who brought them all together. Pindar's friends share the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success and teach Joe how to open himself up to the power of giving. Joe learns that changing his focus from getting to giving - putting others' interests first and continually adding value to their lives - leads to unexpected returns. Imparted with wit and grace, "The Go-Giver" is a heartwarming and inspiring tale that brings new relevance to the old proverb 'Give and you shall receive'. I hope you like and enjoy this episode. We are in a very real battle. But that fight is not with a flesh and blood enemy, but with spiritual powers and principalities. In light of that unique conflict, Paul counsels us to put on the full armor of God that we might engage in battle effectively. We're going to look at 3 of those pieces of armor in this message and the remainder in the next episode. The first piece of armor Paul mentions is the…The Belt of Truth. For the Roman soldier, the belt was key to many of the other aspects of the armor. For one thing, it gathered a soldier's tunic so the material wouldn't hamper his movements. As well, it secured the bottom of the breastplate and the sheath for the sword. In beginning with this piece of armor, Paul reminds us that one of the most basic elements we need to put on is truth. The reason why is that our Adversary specializes in the lie. The Evil One's lies come in all sorts of ways, but the two primary things he lies about are who God is and who you are. But Satan's lies are countered by the truth of God's Word. The second piece of armor is…The Breastplate of Righteousness. The Roman breastplate protected the vital organs and was an essential piece of armor, one no soldier would go into battle without. When the enemy would thrust with his sword, stab with his spear, or fire an arrow in an attempt to get to the soldier's heart, it was the breastplate that protected him. In a similar way, it's the breastplate of righteousness that protects our hearts. There are two layers to this.Imputed righteousness: This is the righteousness given to us by God at salvation. When Satan accuses us and condemns us for the times we fail, remember it is Christ's righteousness that protects our hearts. Imparted righteousness: When we become Christians, God's Spirit is imparted, or given, to us and He gives us the capacity to live righteously. We are then to walk in ways that are consistent with who we are as everyday saints. However, when we sin, if we do not deal with it quickly through confession and repentance, it can create a chink in our breastplate. Paul warns us here to keep our breastplate on and intact. The third piece of armor is…The Shoes of Peace. For the Roman soldier, to lose his footing in a battle quite often insured his death. Thus it was that he would wear open-toed boots or sandals with nail-studded soles. The foundation we are to stand on in the battles we face is the readiness that comes from God's peace - peace with God and the peace of God. A new MP3 sermon from The Narrated Puritan is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: A Divine and Supernatural Light Immediately Imparted to the Soul Subtitle: The Narrated Puritan - T M S Speaker: Jonathan Edwards Broadcaster: The Narrated Puritan Event: Audio Book Date: 6/5/2022 Length: 42 min.
Those convictions that natural men may have of their sin and misery, is not this spiritual and divine light. Men in a natural condition may have convictions of the guilt that lies upon them, and of the anger of God, and their danger of divine vengeance. Such convictions are from light or sensibleness of truth. That some sinners have a greater conviction of their guilt and misery than others, is because some have more light, or more of an apprehension of truth than others. And this light and conviction may be from the Spirit of God- the Spirit convinces men of sin- but yet nature is much more concerned in it than in the communication of that spiritual and divine light that is spoken of in the doctrine- it is from the Spirit of God only.
Spiritual Discernment is vital to a successful relationship with God in our ever-changing world. Imparted by God through the Holy Spirit, it will guard you against deception, transform your prayers, equip you to deal with Satan, and lead you into the fullness of God's divine Will for YOU! Join Melissa as we study Matthew 7 and learn how to cultivate a life full of spiritual discernment so you can be led by the Holy Spirit in all things.
Evangelist Randy Bane preaching a preaching a message entitled “The Charge Imparted” from a series of messages out of 2 Timothy. The post JGP – 116 – Bro. Randy Bane – The Changing of the Guard Series – 04 – The Charge Imparted appeared first on RonnieBrown.net.
Knowing about the Holy Spirit is one thing, but how do we know if we are living with the Spirit in our lives? In this sermon, Pastor Eric talks to us about the evidence of a Spirit filled life: The Fruit of the Spirit.
Jesus never said life would be easy, but He did promise us some help. When He went to be with the Father in heaven He sent us the third person of the Trinity: The Holy Spirit. In this second sermon of our series, Imparted, Pastor Eric talks about how the Holy Spirit works on behalf of every believer.
Ephesians 6:13-14 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place Breastplate: PROTECTION for your vital ORGANS. Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. RIGHTEOUSNESS Righteousness: RIGHT LIVING, to meet a STANDARD,to pass INSPECTION Righteousness GUARDS the most VITAL parts of your life. Proverbs 13:6 Righteousness guards the person of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner. The enemy's INVASION is always started by an INVITATION. Unrighteousness is an INVITATION for the ENEMY to attack your life. Righteousness can be FAKED, but God, nor the enemy is FOOLED. Romans 3:10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; Jesus didn't come to help you MANAGE SIN. Jesus came to help you have VICTORY OVER SIN. Righteousness is first EMBRACED, not EARNED. Righteousness is both IMPUTED and IMPARTED. Imputed: given to us at the MOMENT of our salvation, JUSTIFICATION 2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. I Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; Have you been born again? Imparted: WORKED OUT every day after salvation, SANCTIFICATION Righteousness TRANSFORMS us from the INSIDE OUT. Ephesians 4:20-24 That, however, is not the way of life you learned when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Whatever you feed, GROWS.Whatever you starve, DIES. Feed your spirit = RIGHTEOUSNESS Feed your flesh = ROTTENNESS The same Jesus that SAVES us is the same Jesus that SANCTIFIES us. I believe all Spirit-filled Christians can prophesy. In this episode, I will talk about how to be imparted and activate this vital gift. Honestly, if we do not desire this gift, we are in disobedience to God. 1 Cor. 14:1 Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
In today's podcast I discuss the topic of divinely inspired hopefulness depicted in Romans 4:16-25, especially verse 18. Every aspect of our lives needs God's help, especially our hopefulness. I reference the story of Abraham and Sarah, who were imperfect human believers like us, to explain how God helps those in their greatest time of need. Join me as we examine our own lives using God's word.
