Prior to this I was Acting Features Director at Stylist, coming up with cover feature concepts and flying across the world to interview CEOs, film directors and celebrities at the drop of a hat. I was also Senior Beauty Editor at Marie Claire (winning many awards for my investigative beauty journalism and being nominated for a BSME Columnist of the Year) and launching their plus size fashion column. Before that I was the first Beauty & Health Editor at Women’s Health UK, where I also won both Johnson & Johnson’s and Fashion Monitor’s Journalist of the year awards. I started my beauty career at Stylist when the magazine first launched – becoming the figurehead for calling out racism in the beauty industry after a feature I wrote about it went viral. I’ve always been part beauty activist, part journalist – and above all have a passion for using beauty and wellness as a lens for cultural and social commentary.
