Adam also unpacks Fireblocks' vision for tokenization—from traditional assets like T-bills to unconventional ones like investment-grade wine—and how interoperability between blockchains will unlock liquidity in the years ahead.Security remains a cornerstone of the conversation, as Adam reflects on lessons from high-profile hacks (including the recent Bybit incident) and how Fireblocks' infrastructure prioritizes risk mitigation without compromising efficiency. Douglas Stuart, Booker Prize-winning author of Shuggie Bain and Young Mungo, is celebrated globally for his heartbreaking, funny and moving depictions of working-class life, identity and resilience. Born and raised in Glasgow, Stuart's fiction draws heavily from his own experiences growing up as a gay man in Margaret Thatcher's Britain. His debut Shuggie Bain received worldwide acclaim for its searing portrayal of poverty, addiction and one young boy's tumultuous relationship with his mother in 1980s Scotland. It was heralded as a masterpiece by many critics, and received the Booker Prize in 2020; to date, it has sold over a million copies. In his second novel Young Mungo, Stuart returned to the streets of Glasgow to tell an equally compelling story of vulnerability and strength. This coming-of-age tale delves into the forbidden love between two young men, set against the backdrop of sectarian violence and familial expectations. Similarly critically acclaimed, the book cemented Stuart's place as one of today's most compelling literary voices. In February 2025 Stuart joined us live on stage to discuss his literary journey, the inspiration behind his award-winning novels, and his insights on writing honest depictions of marginalised worlds rarely seen in the literary mainstream. With the respected production company A24 set to adapt both novels for the BBC, Stuart also discussed the process of bringing his characters to life on screen. ----- If you'd like to become a Member and get access to all our full ad free conversations, plus all of our Members-only content, just visit intelligencesquared.com/membership to find out more. Crittenden Distillery (Kiln, MS) WF0046 Head to the deep, Deep South, down to the self-proclaimed moonshine capital of the United States, Kiln, MS. While it did snow here a couple weeks ago, this area is much more known for its heat and we're going to go step by step with Matt Crittenden through the distilling process and chat about various considerations along the way. Patreon members are getting a rare treat - experiencing what it is like to walk through a distillery with me. Matt and I carry our mics around while he shows off his distillery processes and after a while, we forget the mics are in our hands. We talk sonic booms, evaporation, moonshine, cats, Vendome stills, and stogie batches. This is a 40 minute edit from an almost 2 hour long interview. Join me for a fun look at a distillery that only runs tours about once a month. A distillery where whiskey clubs come to pick through some amazing barrel to whiskey combinations. And a family run distillery that evolved out of a need to step away from the long drawn out processes of litigation. Find this and all of the other flights at whiskey-lore.com/flights

New ‘Sode. Alas, as I sit polishing my ninja green Birkin bag buckle, alone after being dumped by a ParaFI partner, I ponder what went wrong in 2024 in Glitter and Crypto. There was the horrifying misunderstanding at Neiman Marcus ETH Denver that resulted in my shoplifting misdemeanor, the disappointing lack of staking in the ETH ETF that left most of my circle lightly slitting their wrists to the soundtrack of Usher Let it Burn, NFTs left completely out of the ERA's tour, Caroline Ellison's refusal to wear anything cute at her trial, . I am high on AI generated meth with excitement for the 2025 Chinese New Year of the Snake, which can only bring good fortune. I have so many hopes and dreams for 2025 that I hope my AI avatar bot can pin to my vision board in time for the year new me new meme coin. I digress. My guest is the fabulous Susan Oh. AI Afficiando who was recently beat up in a hotel room by her co-founder (and is OK) and was able to stop at Glitter Ledger Headquarters on her way to press charges before heading back to Bali. Susan has the IQ of Marilyn Monroe. Her story upbringing is fascinating. She and her family fled South Korea's military dictatorship and then left Iran before the Ayatollah took over; and she family assumed refugee status for 8= months in the UK, before they were sponsored in Canada, where she grew up. She then became a teenage chain smoking punk rocker out at gay discos. Susan then had a career in journalism, media, AI and crypto all mixed together in a big clay pot thrown into a Kiln of glitter and madness before developing her baby Muckr AI, a company that uses AI to flag disinformation. Unfortunately, the funding has had some interesting bumps. Listen on. Happy New Year. #GlitterLedger.

How many pieces do you put in them? What kinds of pieces? How much do you sell them for? And what's the lure for the customer? I'm thinking of including a few in an upcoming show and wanted to see if you had any guidance. I know they're a success for Ryan. Thank you as always for anything you can offer! @thepotterymason- I was wondering if you guys have ever done an episode on kiln firing programs? I use the default on my L&L kiln (which I LOVE, btw), but I'm thinking of moving to a different one and would love to hear what you and Becca do. Cheers
