On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey celebrates one of the most complete wins of the season for the Stars against one of the hottest teams in the NHL. The Stars we're really good in different facets of the game, and more importantly closed out the game in the 3rd period. The Dallas Stars have some of the best prospects in the American Hockey League this season in Logan Stankoven and Mavrik Bourque, but where does the entire prospect pool rank. Joey takes a look at an article from The Athletic that ranked the Stars prospect pool 21st out of 32 teams. We look at individual players including Lian Bichel, Aram Minnietian and Christian Kyrou who are three young defensemen that have abilities and characteristics that the current Stars are lacking. We highlight some of those traits and how how important it is to his on some of these prospects since you more than likely plan to move off some players like Jani Hakanpaa and Esa Lindell in the near future. The Dallas Stars have some of the best prospects in the American Hockey League this season in Logan Stankoven and Mavrik Bourque, but where does the entire prospect pool rank. Joey takes a look at an article from The Athletic that ranked the Stars prospect pool 21st out of 32 teams. We look at individual players including Lian Bichel, Aram Minnietian and Christian Kyrou who are three young defensemen that have abilities and characteristics that the current Stars are lacking. We highlight some of those traits and how how important it is to his on some of these prospects since you more than likely plan to move off some players like Jani Hakanpaa and Esa Lindell in the near future. The juicy part of the episode revolves around tonights game against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Dallas Stars like many teams are limited with their options due to cap space and Matt Duchene is the current headliner of Stars due up for a new contract. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, we take a look at the current cap situation for the Dallas Stars and which may players may stay or test free agency. Ty Dellandrea and Sam Steel are two forwards that are intriguing, Dellandrea has been healthy scratched more of often than not this season, but is only 23 and teams may target him as a potential trade piece. Sam Steel has been a great addition for the Stars, but will he be looking for something more stable moving forward?
