Have Forest already identified their replacement for MGW should he leave this summer? To Buy Wolfie a Coffee Click Here: https://buymeacoffee.com/forestfantv Forest Fan TV dives into the latest transfer buzz as reports from L'Equipe link Nottingham Forest with a sensational €60m (£50m) move for Monaco's wonderkid Maghnes Akliouche as a potential replacement for Morgan Gibbs-White, should he depart this summer. With Manchester City circling the Forest vice-captain, who has notched seven goals and ten assists in the 2024/25 Premier League season, the Reds are reportedly taking concrete steps to secure the 23-year-old Algerian attacking midfielder. Join Wolfie as he dissects these reports, exploring whether Akliouche's flair and versatility make him the ideal successor to Gibbs-White. Subscribe and hit the notification bell to stay on top of all the transfer drama at the City Ground. Wolfie breaks down Akliouche's profile, highlighting his breakout season in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, where he's delivered 19 goal contributions despite underperforming his xG. Described as “elegant” by analyst Jacek Kulig, the 5'10” left-footed star, capable of playing as a winger or attacking midfielder, has drawn comparisons to Gibbs-White for his creativity and dynamism. However, with Monaco valuing him at €60m and competition from Tottenham and PSG, who are only willing to pay €50m, can Forest win the race? Wolfie also assesses the likelihood of Gibbs-White leaving, with sources like Fabrizio Romano noting City's intent to advance talks in the coming weeks, viewing him as a long-term successor to Kevin De Bruyne. What do YOU make of this transfer news? Is Maghnes Akliouche the right man to replace Morgan Gibbs-White if he joins Manchester City, or should Forest fight tooth and nail to keep their star? It's time for The Truth! If you look at the top of the Premier League table, you'll see a few of the country's most famous and recently successful clubs in the pack, but you'll also find a previously fallen giant - in the form of Nottingham Forest, and an upstart underdog - in the form of Bournemouth, going toe-to-toe with the big boys.  But how did they do it? What's behind the successes of the Tricky Trees and the Cherries this season, just a few years after promotion from the Championship - how did they turn themselves from relegation battlers or mid-table stalwarts into genuine contenders for European spots at the end of this season? We take a look at their differing strategies in both the transfer market activity and the tactical sense with which they play, examine which feels more sustainable, and hand out some very well-earned credit to two brilliant managers and two clubs doing things their own way. Is this a one-off, or is it a model that other clubs could use to find success? Are these high-flying underdogs showing a new way to go about things, or could they be just another one-season wonder? The Truth is somewhere in the middle... Nottingham Forest got off to a flying start against Brighton on Sunday afternoon with Chris Wood confidently converting an early penalty, but Brighton hit back with two goals before the break, including a well-taken free-kick from Danny Welbeck. The second half saw Brighton dominate possession, but Forest found a way back into the game, thanks to a brilliant counterattack and a equaliser from new signing Ramon Sosa! The match was full of drama, and the controversy peaked when Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off with a second yellow card. The referee initially signaled that MGW got the ball, but after a change of mind, he handed out the second yellow and sent him off. Was this a fair call? Despite Brighton's dominance, Forest's ability to grind out a draw and keep their unbeaten run going shows character and resilience. Was it a perfect performance? No, but considering the circumstances—playing a man down, weathering waves of Brighton pressure, and still managing to grab a point—there's plenty for Forest fans to be optimistic about. This is a massive achievement for both him and the club, as Gibbs-White becomes the first Nottingham Forest player to be called up to the full England squad since the legendary Stuart Pearce! Gibbs-White has expressed his excitement and pride, stating how honoured he feels to represent his country at the highest level. It's a testament to his hard work and form for Forest, and it's a proud moment for all of us connected to the club. There's no doubt that he'll be looking to make his mark on the international stage, and this call-up highlights the progress he's made in his career since joining Forest, and there is also talk of a new improved contract for MGW this season! With two goals from Chris Wood, Forest ended the season on a high at Turf Moor to claim all three points and confirm their status in the Premier League for another season. But with the three promoted clubs all returning to the Championship with the lowest combined points tally in Premier League history, can Forest take anything from a 17th place finish. After the Burnley match Elanga took to social media to reply to a Morgan Gibb-White end of season message to the fans, the Swedish International's replied to MGW with "Loved playing with you bro". Leaving fans guessing if Elanga simply miss typed or was he hinting at a Forest exit for MGW. With PSR restrictions still a concern for Forest, could MGW be the player sacrificed in order to balance the books. Nuno Espírito Santo took over from Steve Cooper back in December last year, and with the clubs Premier League status confirmed yesterday, his main goal has been accomplished. But in his post match reaction Nuno commented on the fear of some of the players when he first joined the club, and how he had to gain the trust of the squad in the second half of the season. Was that the best Premier League performance by Nottingham Forest in the last 2 seasons? Goals from Hudson-Odoi, MGW and Wood light up The City Ground, as Forest took all three points against Fulham last night in the Premier League, which moves us 3 points clear of the relegation zone. Nuno has been asking for his players to start games better, and that's exactly what happened last night as an early goal from Callum Hudson-Odoi settled the nerves in the City Ground, and Forest went onto produced the best football of the season to head into the break with a 3-0 advantage. Fulham got a goal back in a more even second half, but Nuno's men held on for what could be a vital three points. Coming off the back of an underwhelming performance in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, Forest head into this match on Tuesday evening against Fulham needing a win to push clear of the relegation zone, but will we see a change in attitude and performance from the Reds? In regards to the potential lineup for this match, USA international Gio Reyna is pushing for a start in this game after coming off the bench against Palace and showing some good signs. But if Reyna starts then does Nuno keep MGW in the deeper role in midfield, similar to what he did in the second half at the weekend. With Felipe set to retire at the end of the season, should he make way for Omobamidele, who was starting to build a good partnership with Brazilian sensation Murillo. The reverse fixture finished with Steve Cooper getting sacked as Forest were on the wrong end of a five goal thumping, so revenge should be on the minds of many of the players. Fulham themselves head into this fixture after rescuing a point against already relegation Sheffield United, but they do still have aspirations of European football this season as they sit only 4 points behind West Ham in 7th place. In this match preview we will discuss potential line-ups for both teams. We will be talking about the system we expect to see from Nottingham Forest. With Nottingham Forest trying to avoid the same fate as Everton and dodge a second PSR breach for this current season, could this mean star players leaving before the 30th June deadline for PSR, but is Morgan Gibbs-White the front runner to be sacrificed by the club in order to ease the financial strain? It seems Forest are confident that they can avoid a second PSR charge and therefore are not willing to let one of their best players leave on the cheap. But with Arsenal now joining West Ham and Spurs in showing interest in the 24 year old Morgan Gibbs White, will this interest from these clubs turn the head of MGW himself. With Nottingham Forest having paid an initial £25m for MGW, which could rise to £40m with addon, it is understandable why the club would only be willing let him go for £50m plus, as the impact on PSR has to be considered, so net spend and profit are factors when Forest are considering who to sell before the June 30th deadline. There is also talk of a potential move from Liverpool for player of the season so far for Nottingham Forest Murillo, and the price Forest expect is around the £40-50m mark, how upset would you be to see Murillo leave the City Ground so soon?. With Nottingham Forest trying to avoid the same fate as Everton and dodge a second PSR breach for this current season, could this mean a panic sale before the 30th June deadline! With a number of clubs cutting it close on spending limits, Forest again will have to count the pennies in order to stay within the PSR regulations for the current season. In this video we will dissect the financial situation Nottingham Forest find themselves in this current season, and how much room the clubs has to avoid a yet another PSR violation and another potential point deduction. The Mangala deal to French club Lyon could be key to securing financial stability for Forest, but with Lyon having only an option to buy for £15m there is no guarantee this transfer goes through. Outside of the Mangala transfer, might Forest be forced to sell one of their major assets such as a Murillo or Morgan Gibbs White, with interest from rival Premier League clubs such as West Ham and Spurs for MGW, could the club be tempted to sell if they are unable to get other deals done before June 30th. Was Cooper Right to Drop Morgan Gibbs-White? | Nottingham Forest 1-1 Brentford Match Analysis Today in the latest Nottingham Forest News. We discuss whether Steve Cooper was correct in his decision to drop Morgan Gibbs-White for the Premier League game against Brentford on Sunday afternoon. MGW's form has been inconsistent at best so far this season, therefore should his absence from the starting line-up not have come as a surprise.  With Forest adopting a more 4-3-3 formation at the weekend with Dominguez, Sangare and Mangala being utilised in the central area of the pitch, did this setup offer more balance to the team and produce a more cohesive performance against Brentford, or was MGW's creativity sorely missed. In this match analysis we will discuss the key talking points from the weekend's game where the score finished 1-1 with goals from Norgaard for the visitors and a home debut goal for new signings Dominguez. In this video we will review MGW's performances this season and asses whether his contribution to the team needs to improve or not. Playing in the CAM position for Nottingham Forest for majority of his career at the City Ground, MGW should be the key link man between defence and attack, progressing the ball forward and producing goal scoring opportunities along with scoring goals himself.
