In the same week Elanga leaves Forest, Gibbs-White has left to join Tottenham Hotspur! To Buy Wolfie a Coffee Click Here: https://buymeacoffee.com/forestfantv DEVASTATING BLOW! Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has dropped the “Here We Go” bombshell, confirming that Nottingham Forest's captain Morgan Gibbs-White is heading to Tottenham Hotspur after Spurs triggered his £60m release clause on July 10, 2025! Wolfie dissects the lightning-fast events of this afternoon, where Gibbs-White, who contributed seven goals and ten assists in 38 Premier League games last season, became the second major departure following Anthony Elanga's £55m-£60m move to Newcastle. With Gibbs-White set for a medical at Spurs on Friday, Wolfie questions whether this move signals a lack of ambition from Forest and if Evangelos Marinakis' club is becoming a selling outfit. The £60m fee, doubling Forest's initial investment, offers a significant profit, but the loss of their creative heartbeat—praised for his “captain energy and drive” by fans—raises concerns about squad depth as pre-season training begins. Wolfie discusses potential replacements, but wonders if Forest can fill the void left by MGW's vision and leadership in midfield. Does Gibbs-White's exit, hot on the heels of Elanga's departure, suggest Forest are prioritizing profit over progress, or can Nuno Espirito Santo rebuild with the £115m combined windfall? With Spurs' new manager Thomas Frank securing Gibbs-White for their Champions League campaign, Wolfie reflects on what this means for Forest's identity and their chances of repeating last season's success. It's time for The Truth! If you look at the top of the Premier League table, you'll see a few of the country's most famous and recently successful clubs in the pack, but you'll also find a previously fallen giant - in the form of Nottingham Forest, and an upstart underdog - in the form of Bournemouth, going toe-to-toe with the big boys.  But how did they do it? What's behind the successes of the Tricky Trees and the Cherries this season, just a few years after promotion from the Championship - how did they turn themselves from relegation battlers or mid-table stalwarts into genuine contenders for European spots at the end of this season? We take a look at their differing strategies in both the transfer market activity and the tactical sense with which they play, examine which feels more sustainable, and hand out some very well-earned credit to two brilliant managers and two clubs doing things their own way. Is this a one-off, or is it a model that other clubs could use to find success? Are these high-flying underdogs showing a new way to go about things, or could they be just another one-season wonder? The Truth is somewhere in the middle... Nottingham Forest got off to a flying start against Brighton on Sunday afternoon with Chris Wood confidently converting an early penalty, but Brighton hit back with two goals before the break, including a well-taken free-kick from Danny Welbeck. The second half saw Brighton dominate possession, but Forest found a way back into the game, thanks to a brilliant counterattack and a equaliser from new signing Ramon Sosa! The match was full of drama, and the controversy peaked when Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off with a second yellow card. The referee initially signaled that MGW got the ball, but after a change of mind, he handed out the second yellow and sent him off. Was this a fair call? Despite Brighton's dominance, Forest's ability to grind out a draw and keep their unbeaten run going shows character and resilience. Was it a perfect performance? No, but considering the circumstances—playing a man down, weathering waves of Brighton pressure, and still managing to grab a point—there's plenty for Forest fans to be optimistic about. After a long stretch of time without doing character sketches, Bond and Banter returns with an ALL NEW intro sketch to kick off the episode. "Michael G. Wilson" (AKA Bill Koenig) returns to the podcast with some Bond franchise news guaranteed to disappoint anyone eagerly anticipating some kind of Bond 26 announcement. Instead of breaking any news about the next installment of the franchise, "MGW" uses this opportunity to gloat about the recent announcement that he and Barbara Broccoli will be receiving the Thalberg Award at a separate ceremony in November for honorary Oscars. Afterwards, the Spy Command editor-in-chief Bill Koenig rejoins the podcast for a fun conversation about the state of the Bond franchise.
