Join Wolfie on Forest Fan TV for an in-depth match reaction to Nottingham Forest's 0-2 defeat against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final yesterday, at Wembley Stadium. The Reds' dream of reaching their first FA Cup final since 1959 was dashed as City's Rico Lewis struck inside two minutes, followed by a thumping header from Josko Gvardiol shortly after halftime. Despite a spirited second-half fightback—where Forest hit the woodwork three times, twice through Morgan Gibbs-White, and once via Taiwo Awoniyi—they couldn't find a way past a clinical City side. Wolfie also dives into a recurring issue for Forest this season: why do they only seem to play well in one half? The second half showed their potential, with Anthony Elanga's pace causing problems and Gibbs-White nearly pulling one back, but it was too little, too late. Was it a tactical misstep from Nuno Espírito Santo, or did the occasion overwhelm a Forest side playing only their second match at the ‘new' Wembley since 2007? With key players like Ola Aina doubtful due to injury and Ryan Yates and Neco Williams absent through suspension, Forest struggled to match City's intensity early on. Looking ahead, Wolfie discusses what this result means for the rest of Forest's season as they refocus on their surprising Premier League campaign. Currently 6th in the table, the Reds are in a strong position to secure Champions League qualification, a feat that seemed unthinkable after last season's relegation scrap. However, with five ‘cup finals' left in the league, as Gibbs-White put it, can Forest channel their second-half resilience into consistent performances? How will this loss impact their momentum, and what lessons can they take into their remaining games? Share your thoughts on the match, Forest's approach, and their chances for the season in the comments below—we'd love to hear from you! #nffc #mancity #facup Learn more about your ad choices. Wolfie is joined by Daps from @WeAreTheSouthStandMCFC a passionate Man City fan, to break down this colossal clash between the Reds and the Premier League giants. Forest have been on a fairytale run, reaching their first FA Cup semi-final since 1991 with dramatic penalty shootout wins, including against Brighton in the quarters, while City, led by Pep Guardiola, are chasing their eighth FA Cup trophy after a 2-1 comeback against Bournemouth. With Forest sitting third in the Premier League and City experiencing a dip in form this season, could Nuno Espírito Santo's side pull off a historic upset under the Wembley arch, or will City's experience see them through to the final? Wolfie and Daps dive into the key battles, tactical matchups, and what this game means for both sets of fans, with Forest dreaming of a first FA Cup triumph since 1959 and City aiming to add another piece of silverware to their cabinet. They'll share their predictions on how the game might unfold—will Forest's resilience and Matz Sels' heroics in goal be enough to stop City's firepower, or will the Citizens' depth prove too much? With Cunha potentially heading to Man Utd could Forest be in for Brentford forward Mbeumo? The Footy Network: https://www.youtube.com/@TheFootyNetwork?sub_confirmation=1 Welcome to Forest Fan TV with your latest Nottingham Forest transfer update as we head into a pivotal summer window! In today's video, Wolfie dives into the breaking news that Brentford's prolific forward Bryan Mbeumo has emerged as Forest's top target. The 25-year-old Cameroon international has been in scintillating form, notching an impressive 18 goals in the Premier League this season, making him one of the division's standout performers. However, Brentford are reportedly holding firm with a £50m price tag for their star man, who's also been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United. We also bring you the latest on Ola Aina's injury situation as Forest prepare for their FA Cup semi-final clash against Manchester City at Wembley this weekend. The Nigerian defender, a key part of Nuno Espírito Santo's squad, has been sidelined recently, with Nuno confirming earlier this month that Aina was undergoing intensive treatment to return as soon as possible. His availability for the semi-final remains uncertain. Wolfie discusses how Aina's potential absence could impact Forest's defensive setup against a formidable City side and what it means for their chances of reaching the final. Join Wolfie as he breaks down these crucial updates and what they could mean for Nottingham Forest's ambitions both on and off the pitch. Is Bryan Mbeumo the missing piece to elevate the Reds to the next level, and can they pull off a historic win at Wembley without Aina? Are Manchester United interested in Forest winger Anthony Elanga? To Buy Wolfie a Coffee Click Here: https://buymeacoffee.com/forestfantv Welcome to Forest Fan TV with your latest Nottingham Forest transfer update! In this video, Wolfie dives into the big news circulating over the past few days, that Forest's dynamic winger Anthony Elanga is being targeted by his former club, Manchester United. Elanga, who joined the Reds for a modest £15m in 2023, has transformed into one of the Premier League's most exciting talents, boasting six goals and nine assists this season while helping Forest chase a Champions League spot. Reports suggest United are among several top clubs monitoring the 22-year-old Swedish star, with Forest potentially open to offers above £42m (€50m). But should Forest cash in on their star winger, or is he too crucial to Nuno Espírito Santo's project to let go? There's more transfer buzz to unpack, as Forest have also been linked with a move for Fulham's Brazilian striker Rodrigo Muniz as a potential summer target. Muniz has caught attention with his recent form, though he's also been dealing with injury concerns, as noted in Fantasy Football Scout updates. With Forest's current striker situation uncertain—Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi have been battling injuries, and Elanga's potential departure could further strain the attack—Muniz could provide much-needed depth and firepower. Join Wolfie as he analyses these transfer stories and what they could mean for Nottingham Forest's future. Should the Reds hold firm on Elanga and reject any bids, even at £42m, or is this the perfect time to cash in and reinvest in the squad? And could Muniz be the answer to Forest's striker woes, or should they look elsewhere? We want to hear from you—drop your thoughts in the comments below. Welcome in for another edition of the Morning Espresso from the SDH Network, brought to you by Oglethorpe University, Atlanta's premier undergraduate learning experience and soccer powerhouse.Nottingham Forest are trying to book their spot in the Champions League for next season and secure a top-4 finish in the Premier League this season. Nuno Espírito Santo has gone about it in a very different way than most, but it has worked up to this point for his squad. They could be the first team in Premier League history to finish in the top 4 with average possession numbers of less than 40%. What's interesting is that they pair that with dropping off from a higher press as well. They try to pick teams off in the middle third or defensive third, baiting opposing center backs or defensive midfielders by dropping off the ball to take away their passing options. Forest's attackers almost want the opponent on the ball to pass them, they stay high and look for the direct counter. Nuno's side tries to force opponents to play longer or through a crowded middle of the pitch. When Forest wins the ball, they have even numbers to attack with a direct approach. It's worked well. Generally when they've conceded goals, it's been from crosses or from shots outside the 18. Is it a recipe for long term success? It's never been done this way and been successful for one season, so let's continue to wait and see. Could it get Forest to the Champions League? It's possible as 3 spots will get decided between 5 teams that are currently separated by 3 points. Forest is in 3rd at the moment with the top 5 going into next season's Champions League. Leeds and Burnley will rejoin the Premier League next season and have settled into that yo-yo level between the top flight and the Championship. Leeds want to be an established top flight team like they've been for the majority of this history (before the Premier League anyway), but can they get there? It seems that as time continues to tick on, there's a new tier of clubs between the Premier League and Championship. It's not ideal for teams to be constantly going back and forth, but I'm not sure what could be done to prevent these gaps forming between clubs based on riches or spending. Wrexham is trying to change their status as they seek their third straight promotion. They sit in 2nd place in League One right now and are on pace to earn promotion to the Championship. Is that where their promotion train slows? Will make for interesting television either way, right?Georgia high school soccer action is now into the state tournament portion of the schedule. Podcast Intro: The Portugal Corner - Episode 177 - The Usual SuspectsWelcome to The Portugal Corner! The podcast where we dive into all things Portuguese soccer—the good, the bad, and the funny! It's St. Patrick's Day, and we're celebrating with some GuinnessIn a move that caught many by surprise, Chelsea has swooped in to secure two of Portugal's brightest young stars—Quenda and Dario Essugo. The Blues locked in deals worth €50M and €20M, respectively, on delayed loans. With Chelsea's track record of acquiring young talent, we discuss what the future holds for these rising midfielders and whether this move will help or hinder their development.Portugal's squad for the Nations League playoffs is out, and we analyze Roberto Martínez's selections. Is the midfield trio of Vitinha, João Neves, and Bruno Fernandes the right call? Will these choices propel the team to victory, or do we see cracks in the foundation?Sporting CP continues their dominant form, storming past Famalicão with a convincing 3-1 victory. The match saw Fresneda break the deadlock after a stunning run from "Thicc Vic". Famalicão kept things competitive by equalizing through a penalty just before halftime, but Sporting had the last laugh. "Thicc Vic" himself converts from the spot.Returning to domestic action, Benfica faced Rio Ave and started strong with a stunning strike from Orkun Kökçü. However, despite going 2-0 up, two sloppy defensive mistakes—one notably from Tino—allowed Rio Ave back into the match. Fortunately, Aturkoglu stepped up to restore order, securing the much-needed three points.Desperate for stability, Porto reverted to a back-four system, and it paid off with a solid 2-0 victory over AVS. Rising star Rodrigo Mora opened the scoring, bringing energy back into the squad. Fábio Vieira followed up with a thunderous one-timer to double the lead. AVS didn't help their case as Ignacio Rodriguez saw red early in the second half, giving Porto the advantage for the final 45 minutes.Guimarães' European campaign ended in disappointment as Real Betis walked into Portugal and delivered a crushing 4-0 defeat. Even Antony found himself on the scoresheet. However, the team bounced back on the weekend with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Estrela Amadora, with Thomas Handel and Arcanjo providing the goals.Bruno Fernandes continues to prove his worth, delivering a hat-trick (including two penalties) and an assist as Manchester United crushed Real Sociedad 4-1 in the Europa League. He followed it up with a goal against Leicester in a 3-0 weekend win, assisted by Dalot.Jota Silva, shinea for Nottingham Forest, scoring in a vital 4-2 victory over Ipswich. Nuno Espírito Santo's Nottingham Forest locks in third place with this crucial win.PSG survived a Champions League scare, advancing past Liverpool on penalties. Vitinha and Ramos kept their cool from the spot, while Darwin Núñez's miss proved costly. On the domestic front, Nuno Mendes scored his first Ligue 1 goal of the season in Le Classique, helping PSG secure a 3-1 win over Marseille and extend their lead at the top to a staggering 19 points. We took some heat for not nominating Mendes for last week's João Wonder—our bad!Another game, another goal for CR7. Ronaldo netted his 928th career goal as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Kholood .Toronto FC's home opener didn't go as planned, suffering a 2-1 defeat to Chicago Fire. More striker links to Forest and are we close to completing our first signing in January? For Exclusive Content Join FFTV Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/ForestFanTV In an astonishing turn of events, whispers have emerged within the last 24 hours about a potential blockbuster move for Napoli's star striker, Victor Osimhen. While the prospect of seeing Osimhen in the Garibaldi Red at the City Ground is incredibly exciting, the reality of such a transfer seems far-fetched due to his substantial wage demands and the financial implications it would pose for the club. But, let's dream for a moment - would you love to see this dynamic striker leading our front line? Moving on to what might be more practical, there's buzz around a new left-back potentially becoming Forest's first acquisition of the transfer window. This signing could provide the much-needed depth and competition in our defense, which has been a focal point for improvement.
