On Sunday, we got to hear from one of our elders, Andoni Montaño on Luke 19v29-38. This last Sunday, Andoni wrapped up the vision series with a teaching on our last core value: we have the privilege of leaving a legacy of heaven.  Throughout the Scriptures we see the divine principle of inheritance at play: what is done in faith has consequences for the generations that are yet to come.   We have a glorious inheritance in Christ. When we live into all that He paid for - a life of knowing Him, loving Him and trusting Him - the generation after us will be able to start where we finished. El chef vasco Andoni Luis Aduriz ha pasado por los micrófonos de Madrid Directo con Nieves Herrero para presentar la película-documental Mugaritz: sin pan ni postre sobre su restaurante con dos estrellas Michelin, que se estrena en Movistar+ el próximo 21 de noviembre. Aduriz ha dicho que “no hay nada más inculcado en nuestra especie que la creatividad”. Ha destacado que “a veces parece que la creatividad va en contra de la tradición y eso no es verdad”, y que “decidí quitar las inercias como el pan y el postre en mis menús para que la gente entienda nuestra perspectiva”.

On Sunday we continued in our Luke Series with a teaching from one of our elders, Andoni Montaño.  After reading through Luke 13v10-21, Andoni compared the yeast of the Pharisees with the yeast of the Kingdom.   Hypocrisy is the yeast of the Pharisees. Their need to see in order to believe kept their hearts from being moved by the awe of God when miracles happened. Jesus said this attitude, un-checked, spreads like leaven in dough.  Jesus also referred to the kingdom of God spreading like leaven in dough. The kingdom of God spreads when people take hold of it by faith in Jesus. This faith believes in order to see, not the other way around.   Faith is a gift from God that we can only receive through surrender. Andonis Platis is the adult director for Orpheus Hellenic Folklore Society based out of Chicago, IL. A seasoned cardiac medical device professional, he began his career as a perfusionist and researcher in the field of heart failure while also teaching for the community of Saint Demetrios in Tucson, AZ; his hometown. This season, Bournemouth are three points better off than the equivalent games in the previous campaign, and with a style of football that is making the media talk about us, Boscombe are once again proving to be an exhilarating watch. In some quarters though, there is concern, and even criticism, as it is now ANOTHER week that has passed by without that elusive win. Of course, criticism from supporters is not unjustified, as Cherries have not been overly clinical so far. Any frustration is possibly understandable given Bournemouth do not have a "W" in the form table, but contrary to opinion - this shouldn't be seen as any sort of meltdown amongst supporters. It's exasperating at times, but the bigger picture suggests there is still a LOT for Cherries fans to be excited about. It may be small steps, but small progress is still progress.
