Will Nottingham Forest go back in for former Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz? To Buy Wolfie a Coffee Click Here: https://buymeacoffee.com/forestfantv Join Forest Fan TV for the latest transfer buzz as we dive into Nottingham Forest's renewed interest in Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz! The former Aston Villa star has been a long-term target for the Reds, with reports suggesting Nuno Espirito Santo's side could reignite their pursuit in the summer transfer window. Despite Luiz reportedly turning down a move to the City Ground in January, Forest's ambition for Champions League football has kept the rumour mill churning. Is the Brazilian playmaker still the right fit for Forest's midfield, or should the club look elsewhere? We break down his lacklustre spell in Turin, his potential to transform Nuno's squad, and whether Forest should keep the faith in this high-profile target. The plot thickens with whispers of a potential swap deal to lure Luiz back to the Premier League! Juventus are reportedly open to negotiations, with a loan-to-buy option or even a player exchange on the table to offset the €40m price tag. But who could Forest afford to let go in a swap? We discuss the pros and cons of including players like Nicolas Dominguez, who's been linked with a move to Roma, or even a surprise name from Nuno's squad. With Forest's strong Brazilian contingent—Murillo, Morato, Danilo, and Carlos Miguel—Luiz could feel right at home, but at what cost to the current roster? We weigh up the risks and rewards of sacrificing a key player for the 26-year-old midfielder. #nffc #juventus #premierleague Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Topping the list is Wolves' Matheus Cunha, who's enjoyed an incredible season with 13 goals despite his team's struggles. We've also got updates on Brentford's Yoane Wissa, another previous Forest target, whose fee has reportedly dropped, making a summer move more feasible as Brentford's European hopes fade. Plus, there's buzz around Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, who seems poised for a Premier League return after a tough stint in Turin—Forest are in the mix alongside other suitors. Rios has been making waves, especially after his standout performances in the recent Copa America where he played a pivotal role in leading Colombia to the final. It's time for The Truth!Aston Villa eased the pressure on themselves with a win against Brentford in midweek, but it doesn't change the fact that November was an incredibly difficult month for the Villans - with their last win before the Bees this Wednesday coming on  October 22nd against Bologna in the Champions League. Many people have pointed to the lack of Douglas Luiz this season as a major reason that Unai Emery's Villa have struggled to control games, but it surely can't be as simple as that, so Sam and Dougie take a deep dive into a topic close to Sam's heart and try to work out exactly what has been going wrong for the Villans across the last few weeks. We discuss the lack of pressing and compactness, which may well be by design; as well as some strokes of unfortunate bad luck that have hampered their chances - as well as putting into question whether this summer actually strengthened or weakened the squad off the back of last season's success. So have Villa been found out, or are they just currently gripped by a crisis of confidence and inability to finish their chances? Are the problems endemic, or will they go away as normality returns in the New Year? The Truth is somewhere in the middle... Ted and Ravi discuss their transfer grades for Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton and Brentford. We start with Arsenal, who made some solid signings this window, but failed to improve their attacking depth and we disagree a bit on the quality of the incoming transfers. We also grades for the next 4 Premier League teams in alphabetical order. Namely, Villa's PSR driven offseason and some good business by them in the offloading of Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby, but did the incomings substantially improve the Champions league team? Next, Bournemouth's big sale of Dominic Solanke and where they might replace his production. Finally, we finish with why we rated Brentford's window a mild success, and discuss how Brighton's aggressive approach might pay off for them. Juventus' move for Douglas Luiz is a go — and could be the start of a whole lot of movement in the midfield this summer as Cristiano Giuntoli looks to address the Bianconeri's long-standing problem area. On Episode 237 of The Old Lady Speaks Podcast, we discuss: The sudden audible Juventus had to call with the Douglas Luiz swap deal once Weston McKennie started to make things difficult. This has not been a good look for Weston McKennie. So, could Douglas Luiz just be the start of Cristiano Giuntoli remaking Juventus' midfield? We ask that because as Adrien Rabiot makes Juve wait, Giuntoli is reportedly in talks for Nice midielder Khéphren Thuram. Twitter questions — including just how poorly McKennie handled all of this, what's really up with Federico Chiesa and his future at the club, and what if you were given the chance to fight a Mario Mandzukic-sized Sebastian Giovinco or a Sebastian Giovinco-sized Mario Mandzukic. The rebuild of Juventus' midfield looks to be closing in on its first big addition, with the very complicated players-plus-cash swap deal with Aston Villa reportedly close from crossing the finish line. On Episode 236 of The Old Lady Speaks, we discuss: Thiago Motta is officially Juventus' new manager! Surprise! Juventus look close to completing a swap deal involving three players that would see Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz be one of Motta's first big signings of the summer. What would Douglas Luiz bring to the table? We take a look. Some of the other recent transfer rumors don't have us as happy as the Douglas Luiz deal — most notably how Juventus continue to be linked with a move for Manchester United's Mason Greenwood. Just a week after it looked like Juventus keeper Wojciech Szczesny wasn't going to probably consider a bid from Saudi Arabia, he now looks like he could be going to the Middle East as Juve try and make their transition in goal possible early in the summer transfer window.
