El vudú es una religión originaria de África Occidental, donde actualmente sigue siendo practicada por miembros de las etnias ewé, kabye, adja, mina y fon de Togo, Benín, Ghana y Nigeria. Es distinto de las varias religiones africanas tradicionales en el interior de esos países, y es la fuente principal de religiones con nombres similares que se encuentran entre la diáspora africana en las Américas, tales como el vudú haitiano, el vudú de Luisiana, el vodú cubano, el vudú dominicano y el vodum brasileño (Candomblé Jejé y Tambor de Mina). Estas variantes se alejan del vudú o vodún en tanto se originaron del sincretismo que se produjo en el área del Caribe entre las creencias que poseían los esclavos trasladados desde el África Occidental y la religión cristiana católica practicada mayoritariamente en esas tierras; cuyas prácticas difieren en ciertos aspectos con el vudú africano.​

Esta semana en La Luz del misterio hemos viajado de la mano de Juan José Revenga al ancestral mito de la tierra hueca y las civilizaciones subterráneas. Son innumerables las historias, los mitos y las leyendas que se cuentan sobre ciudades subterráneas y civilizaciones intraterrestres, extendidas por todo el mundo gracias a una inmensa red de túneles interconectados en distintos puntos del planeta. Las evidencias sobre dichas ciudades subterráneas parecen ser muchas. No tenemos más que recordar los misteriosos relatos que giran en torno a la Cueva de los Tayos en Ecuador y sus galerías de túneles, o las historias sobre entradas a mundos subterráneos, supuestamente ubicadas en los Andes, el Himalaya, el Tíbet, el desierto de Gobi, Siberia o, incluso, bajo la propia Esfinge de Guiza. Más tarde el propio periodista Luis del Val nos habla de su encuentro con los fantasmas y el particular el fantasma de su abuela. Luego con la voz del programa narramos una de las leyendas más populares que nos trajimos de Praga, el Golem: un hombre de barro para salvar a los judíos. Según una leyenda, en el siglo XVI un rabino de Praga creó un hombre de barro, el gólem, para salvar a la comunidad judía de la ciudad. Rabbí Löw pidió ayuda a dos rabinos amigos y los tres hombres se dirigieron a la orilla del río Moldava (en checo, Vltava). Allí trazaron en el barro la forma de un hombre tumbado y dibujaron su rostro, piernas y brazos. Los dos rabinos amigos de Löw rodearon al gólem siete veces cada uno mientras recitaban ciertos encantamientos, tras lo cual la figura adquirió un tono rojizo, como si estuviera ardiendo. Cuando se enfrió, el mismo Löw lo rodeó siete veces mientras sostenía una Torá en sus manos. 30 años de emisión cumple La Luz del Misterio. Abiola Wabara goes unguarded again. As a former professional basketball player with over a decade of experience in Europe, she started preparing for her transition by getting her Master's degree while still playing. In 2016, Abiola founded Goball Life, a small consulting firm dedicated to assisting athletes in their transition from professional sports to the next phase of their lives. She is now a Digital Industrial Manager at a consulting company. Outside the corporate world, she is the owner and artist behind Art by Abiola, an online gallery featuring her artwork.
