Raymond Bisha introduces us to Sinding's four symphonies that reveal the composer not as an innovator, but as someone whose music can be readily enjoyed on its own merits. Editor, translator and journalist Jens F. Laurson suggests a context for exploring these works: “He's not the symphonic Grieg we've been missing, nor a Nordic Brahms that's been overlooked. Enten du er leder, medarbeider, kollega eller jobber med HR. Det å forstå dynamikken i følelser og vite hvordan du håndterer følelser på en god måte er nøkkelen til å håndtere vanskelige situasjoner eller konflikter. Visste du at vi har primærfølelser og sekundærfølelser. At en følelsesmessig reaksjon noen ganger dekker over en annen følelse. Hva er egentlig empati og hvordan er det avgjørende for å lykkes med de vanskelige samtalene?Kommunikasjon skjer på mange plan, men ordene våre har fått større og større rolle i et samfunn der alt beveger seg lynraskt. I denne verden glemmer vi ofte at kommunikasjon skjer på mange plan og at ord ikke bare er ord, og at de betyr forskjellige ting for oss alle. Ikke minst glemmer vi ofte at hele vår verdensoppfatning er med på å vekte hvert eneste ord vi sier og hører. Dette er et tema psykolog Aksel Inge Sinding har vært nysgjerrig på hele livet og som han gjennom sitt arbeid med emosjonsfokusert terapi ofte har sett er roten til mange av de relasjonelle utfordringene vi har. Christian Sinding – ein Name, der heute beinahe völlig vergessen ist. Dabei war er zu Lebzeiten einer der bekanntesten Komponisten Norwegens. Kurz vor seinem Tod aber machte er einen Fehler: Er trat der norwegischen Nazi-Partei bei. Sein Werk durfte nach dem Krieg in Norwegen erstmal nicht gespielt werden und so geriet der Komponist in Vergessenheit. Jetzt ist eine neue CD erschienen: Das Violinkonzert von Christian Sinding – „ob es zwingend wiederentdeckt werden muss, ist fraglich“, so Rezensent Thilo Braun.

Kan vi si at «jeg føler altså er jeg» like fullt som Shakespear mener at dersom vi tenker så er vi? Hvordan kan vi gjennom egne følelser forstå og møte andres følelsesliv? Hva skal til for at menneskene vi deler hverdagen med, bedre kan tolke og bekrefte våre egne? Ikke minst, hvordan kan barn og voksne møte, leve seg inn i, bearbeide og lære seg å lese på best mulig vis? Å validere følelser, eller å bekrefte andres følelser, er en livslang og tidvis komplisert og krevende prosess vi alle går gjennom. Hva er egentlig en følelse? Er alle følelser like viktige og kan vi faktisk stole på dem? I ukas episode har Oda besøk av psykologene og forfatterduoen Aksel og Jannis, som nylig gav ut boka "Klok på følelser". Begge har spesialisert seg på emosjonsfokusert terapi innenfor psykologisk behandling og har lang fartstid innen fagfeltet. Ikke minst er de også fulle av følelser!
