This is the Expanded version of John Cameron's book "It's ME!" Forget everything you thought you thought you knew about the most publicly covered murders of our time. The evidence leads to one man committing the most chilling and widely known murders that have captivated the public's interest and caused terror throughout our communities including the Zodiac killings. Based on the investigation by veteran detective John Cameron and others contained in this book, Edward Edwards is also now linked to the murder of Steve Avery, the Black Dahlia, and Laci Peterson for which he set up Scott Peterson who is currently on death row for killing her. The evidence also strongly suggests that he killed JonBenet Ramsay and that he framed the parents whom were later exonerated. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

“You can't handle the truth”, the famous response elicited from fictional Lt Colonel Nathan Jessup on cross examination by the character played by Tom Cruise to this day remains the quintessential “gotcha” moment in a trial. A cross examination so good that it broke the witness, cracked the case and freed the accused. Popular shows, documentaries, movies and docudramas all focus on this type of cross examination moment - moments created by the dynamic exchange between lawyers and witnesses. In 2021, my podcast the Killer Cross Examination Podcast, featured some of the best, most well known and iconic lawyers in the country. The lawyers who joined me included lawyers who defended OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson, Bill Cosby, George Zimmerman, Phil Spector, Steve Avery, Charlie Sheen, John Gotti, Jr., William Kennedy Smith, Chris Webber, Casey Anthony and Michael Peterson to name a few. From A-Z, Anne Bremner to Jack Zimmermann, I interviewed my peers, the lawyers who the writers try to copy and emulate when they write the scripts for the Netflix shows. Unscripted, uncensored and more. As we say hello to 2022, I also bid farewell to F. Lee Bailey, who pointing a finger at me said, “I know a great trial lawyer when I see one.” Here are some excerpts from 2021 from the Killer Cross Examination Podcast featuring yours truly, F Lee Bailey, and other iconic lawyers, e.g., Tom Mesereau, Alan Dershowitz, Mark Geragos, Linda Kenney Baden, and more. Subscribe to the Killer Cross Examination Podcast on Apple, Anchor, Google Podcasts, Goodpods, Amazon Music, YouTube, Spotify and Audible to name a few. Happy New Year

Making A Murderer, the Netflix Documentary Series, captured the attention of tends of millions. The series followed the prosecution of Steve Avery and Brendan Dassey for the murder of Teresa Halback. Dean Strang defended Steve Avery and he takes us behind the scenes, tells us what it was like making the show, his reaction to the verdict, his style in the courtroom and his favorite cross examination story (it involves Wayne Newton, the venerable Las Vegas entertainer). He discusses how he became a lawyer, what he did before becoming a lawyer, how he ended up in criminal defense and how he ended up defending Avery in case that gripped the nation. You do not want to miss this episode - and this is one that the longer you listen to it, the better it gets.
In segment two Tom discusses getting signed and heading off to the minors for the Braves. It was culture shock for him. First time being away from home and it wasn't college but professional baseball and it was his job. Mark Lemke was his roommate in Bradenton, Florida and it was an eye opener for him being a professional athlete. Lot's of adjustments and huge learning curve. He had to learn new pitching mechanics and how to throw certain pitches. The work load was different in learning all these new things. One big thing was the "grind" as it were being a baseball player in the minors. Had to learn to keep busy between starts as he was not an everyday player. Had to learn focus on his job. As we continue with Tom talking minor leagues he highlights his call up to the Braves on August 17, 1987. He was in Toledo and had lost a game and his manager called him to tell him he was called up by the Braves and headed to Houston to meet up with the team. Great story of how he was getting ready for his first start in the majors. All the emotions he was feeling at the time. As he was with the Braves he had a turning point with manager Russ Nixon. Tom had been struggling a bit and he was called into the office in Wrigley Field by Russ. He told him they believed in him and he was there because there was no one in the minors who take his place, so figure out what you have to do to be successful here in the "Majors". One thing Tom highlights is in the majors you are going to have about 35 starts. 1/3 of time your are going to be on, 1/3 your going to be terrible. 1/3 your in the middle, that is where you have to figure things out and how to win those games. Tom also, highlights how he and Greg Maddox, Steve Avery, and John Smoltz would talk pitching all the time. How to set guys up. Certain pitches to throw. What is working and not working. One guy early in his career who was great for him was Ted Simmons. He was Tom's catcher and used to talk him about all different things in between innings. It is a great listen into what is going on during a season and games.

Michael griesbach had been a prosecutor for 22 years and thought he had seen it all. But nothing prepared him for the case of Steven Avery-a true crime story, where the good guys are sometimes the bad guys and the bad guys the good. It is case of violent crime with a mind-numbing twist, but mostly, it's a case about innocence and guilt. On July 29, 1985, Penny beernsten set out for a late afternoon jog on a beach on the Lake Michigan shoreline, unaware that just minutes later a deranged sex offender would shatter her world forever. Within hours police zeroed in on Steven Avery, a known offender who was out on bail for aserious crime. Armed only with suspicion and lacking a warrant, they dragged their suspect to jail. What followed was a 20 year crime saga that gripped the entire state making Steven Avery a celebrity in Wisconsin and leaving the local justice system nearly in ruins. UNREASONABLE INFERENCES-Michael Griesbach
