ŚB 5.15.1Śrīla Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued: The son of Mahārāja Bharata known as Sumati followed the path of Ṛṣabhadeva, but in the Age of Kali some unscrupulous people will imagine him to be Lord Buddha himself. These people, who will actually be atheistic and of bad character, will interpret the Vedic principles in an imaginary, infamous way to support their activities. Thus these sinful people will accept Sumati as Lord Buddhadeva and propagate the theory that everyone should follow the principles of Sumati. In this way they will be carried away by mental concoction. Please feel free to join our Kṛṣṇa Consciousness Telegram group chat (for both prabhujīs and mātājīs): https://t.me/iskmnews
--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ananta-rupa-das/message
ŚB 5.7.1-4 Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued speaking to Mahārāja Parīkṣit: My dear King, Bharata Mahārāja was a topmost devotee. Following the orders of his father, who had already decided to install him on the throne, he began to rule the earth accordingly. When Bharata Mahārāja ruled the entire globe, he followed the orders of his father and married Pañcajanī, the daughter of Viśvarūpa. Just as the false ego creates the subtle sense objects, Mahārāja Bharata created five sons in the womb of Pañcajanī, his wife. These sons were named Sumati, Rāṣṭrabhṛta, Sudarśana, Āvaraṇa, and Dhūmraketu. Formerly, this planet was known as Ajanābha-varṣa, but since Mahārāja Bharata's reign it has become known as Bhārata-varṣa. Mahārāja Bharata was a very learned and experienced king on this earth. He perfectly ruled the citizens, being himself engaged in his own respective duties. Mahārāja Bharata was as affectionate to the citizens as his father and grandfather had been. Keeping them engaged in their occupational duties, he ruled the earth. Please feel free to join our Kṛṣṇa Consciousness Telegram group chat (for both Prabhujī's and Mātājī's): https://t.me/iskmnews

Trevor Allen, Head of Sustainability Research Paola Lamedica, Head of Credit ESG and Derivatives Strategy Sumati Semavoine-Jain, Sustainability Research Analyst Trevor, Paola and Sumati respond to Isabel Schnabel's recent speech on greening the ECB bond portfolio. The ECB's tilt towards Green and sustainable bonds will remain strong. Within the most polluting sectors, they expect the highest emitters to come under increased scrutiny by the ECB, as they wish to incentivise corporates to aim for the best-in-class in their sector. In the public sector space, they think the ECB to buy a larger share of sustainable bonds issued by supranationals and tilt sovereign and agency purchases towards Green bonds. Sumatidārikā Paripṛcchā Sūtra ('Questions of Sumati') From the Ratnakuta Sutra collection, #30 Sutra recitation by M.C. Owens November 8, 2022 Translated from Taishō Tripiṭaka volume 12, number 336
With: Trevor Allen, Head of Sustainability Research Sumati Semavoine-Jain, Sustainability Research Analyst BNP Paribas | Global Markets (Recorded 17 October 2022) Trevor and Sumati are back to discuss biodiversity, and more specifically, how it can be addressed within equity portfolios. Biodiversity remains a minor determinant of corporate ESG scores, and there is no readily available single metric to monitor a company's effect on nature. Identifying investment opportunities, therefore, requires a tailored approach. Our methodology looks at the flow of natural resources in supply chains (how corporates source, manage, monitor and recycle them) and aims to identify both: ‘enablers', providers of solutions for change and ‘leaders', early adopters of change.
