I already forgot today's breaking news but guess whose book is making the rounds... that's right, Josh Gad! Plus, Scheana Shay wrote a book, Lukas Gage wrote a book and Hilaria Baldwin wrote... that's right, another book! Everyone's writing! Except for Lori Harvey — she's posing for Playboy! Meanwhile, Taylor Zakhar-Perez is posing for LaCoste (undies), Gracie Abram's fans are trying to get her opener (Dora Jar) off the tour and Kesha is posing topless with her (R.I.P.) cat. Taylor Kitsch moved to Montana, Tan France cut his pompadour, Guy Pearce is single... Blake Griffin is marrying Frankie's Bikinis... Olivia Wilde is dating the Predator (Hey! He's 6'8"!) and JoJo is dating an Australian named Kath. That's kind of it for today. Love you! In a surprising move, Paramount has officially canceled the ambitious sci-fi series Halo after just two seasons, despite its devoted fan base and an improved second season. Based on the acclaimed video game, Halo follows Master Chief played by Pablo Schreiber and his AI companion Cortana played by Jen Taylor as they navigate a galactic war between humans and the alien Covenant. Despite mixed reviews and controversy over deviations from the source material, the show managed to gain traction. However, all hope is not lost; producers are exploring options to continue the series on another platform.

Today by popular demand, Nicholas Galitzine finally joins the podcast and he does not disappoint! Many of you will know that Nicholas first burst onto our screens as the all-singing, all-charming Prince in Prime Video's ‘Cinderella' with Camila Cabello, and then he played a troubled marine in Netflix's ‘Purple Hearts.' However it was playing the closeted gay prince, Henry who falls for the son of the first female USA president, played by Taylor Zakhar Perez in ‘Red, White and Royal Blue', that really captured imaginations! Not someone to shy away from intimate scenes, Nicholas recently played King James I's lover in Sky's TV show, ‘Mary and George', whose game playing and thirst is only matched by his ambitious mother, played by Julianne Moore. Now Nicholas stars as a boyband member who falls for a fan's mum, played by Anne Hathaway, in the new Prime Video movie, ‘The Idea of You' and it's the rom-com we have been waiting for! In this episode Nicholas talks about why we need more male allies for women, and how he wants to set a better example to younger men in society. He also chats about doing all *those* intimate scenes, overcoming imposter syndrome and finally feeling comfortable in who he is. What I love most is Nicholas's words about becoming our own cheerleader which is what Reign is all about, so I hope you love this episode! If you do, please get in touch with me via social media @joshsmithhosts! Love, Josh x P.S. In this episode you will have heard me talking about my favourite SPF brand, Mecca Cosmetica. Brenna and Joe return to the world of Wattpad to check out Beth Reekles' 2020 sequel, The Kissing Booth 2: Going The Distance, as well as its Netflix adaptation. The book is better written, but where is the conflict? There's nothing here! The film is much better thanks to a committed performance by Joey King (and her wig), as well as the addition of Taylor Zakhar Perez. Uma Thurman is the faux potus in Amazon's romantic comedy RED, WHITE, AND ROYAL BLUE. Taylor Zakhar Perez is the young, handsome First Son whose public feud with a young, handsome British Prince (played by Nicholas Galitzine) threatens his mom's reelection campaign. But things get even messier when the hate gives way to VERY different feelings for each other... Can a congresswoman from Texas win the presidency if she can't even win a statewide election in own state? Can a college-aged first kid throw a rager on the White House lawn? Do political rom-coms even need a grand gesture? This is a movie where the romance might be the queer, but the politics are oddly straight. Find us on Threads and Instagram at Fake_Presidents. Woolmark's new ambassador Taylor Zakhar Perez is a rising Hollywood star known for his leading man roles. You might recognise him from a certain rom com that we're not mentioning here (in respect of the actors' strike), or his role in a royal drama based on a cult book (again, not going there). Maybe you know his Paris fashion week looks - snaps of him emerging shirtless from his car outside the Prada's menswear show went viral in June. But whether you're one of his 4.7 million Instagram followers, or discovering his work for the first time here, there's no denying Taylor's charm. He's smart, down-to-earth, generous with his time and endlessly curious, and we love that he was up for a conversation about how to use influence for good.In this conversation, we discuss the risks and rewards of daring to talk about sustainability when you're known for something else, why more famous names don't get involved in climate activism or rewear their clothes, and how this former competitive swimmer became a supply chain nerd. For Taylor, if he's going to work with a brand, he wants to see what goes on behind the scenes. Brenna and Joe are late to Casey McQuiston's phenom Red, White & Royal Blue which has just been adapted to film by Matthew López for Amazon. We're fans of this fun, flirty read which tackles a few substantive topics in a low-key fashion. The film...isn't working for us unfortunately. Despite stars Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine's best efforts, there's no romantic electricity here. Throw in cheap production values and a undercooked queer-revenge villain and the film is sadly undercooked. (And don't get us started on Uma's accent!)Wanna connect with the show? When Casey McQuiston's novel ‘Red, White & Royal Blue' was published in 2019, it was an instant bestseller. Now the story of a romance between the U.S. president's son Alex (Taylor Zakhar Perez) and British Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) is a new Amazon Prime movie (August 11). “I really didn't know the magnitude of it,” Perez told Newsweek's H. Alan Scott about the popularity of the book. “Everybody kind of came at me with their opinions.” And Perez went into it with little knowledge of the royals, either. “I have friends that are obsessed and know everything about them, and I kind of just shrug my shoulders...I suppose it's like a Disney prince and princess story that we watched from afar.” But this story is certainly not your typical royal love story, and that's what makes it so compelling. “Alex's arc as a character that has only dated women in the past—maybe a couple guy hookups—to not liking Henry, to getting kissed by Henry and then having a relationship. The different degrees of comfort that Alex starts to have, this needs to be represented in in a proper way.” Visit Newsweek.com to learn more about the podcasts we offer and to catch up on the latest news. It's an exciting mix of entertaining films and filmmakers on today's BEHIND THE LENS as we turn our attention to two very different films, both of which I wholeheartedly enjoyed and recommend – OPERATION NAPOLEON and RED, WHITE & ROYAL BLUE. While both films are adapted from best-selling novels, one filmmaker is a much-lauded veteran Icelandic director while the other makes the leap from the stage as a Tony-winning playwright to the screen with his feature directorial debut. First up, take a listen to my exclusive interview with director OSKAR THOR AXELSSON as he talks about his new film, the slow-burn thriller OPERATION NAPOLEON. Adapted by Marteim Thorisson and Arnaldur Indridason from Indridason's novel of the same name, Oskar and I dive into the specifics of this adaptation as well as the filmmaking challenges inherent to shooting on a glacier, international casting, cinematography, and more. Then listen to director and co-writer MATTHEW LOPEZ who makes his directorial feature debut with RED, WHITE & ROYAL BLUE. Based on Casey McQuiston's critically acclaimed New York Times best-seller, RED, WHITE & ROYAL BLUE is a light, bright, breezy, fun film that takes us back and forth across The Pond in this refreshing and charming flirtatious tale of a Prince of England and the United States First Son played by Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez, respectively. Matthew's exuberance and passion in talking about this film are joyously infectious as we cover everything from visual grammar and tonal energy to casting, editing, cinematography of Stephen Goldblatt, and yes, even eyelashes! http://eliasentertainmentnetwork.com

Welcome to our ‘Kissing Booth 2' bonus episode! Culture reporter Nancy Coleman (The New York Times) joins us to talk about her recent interview with Taylor Zakhar Perez, who plays Marco in the film. Enjoy!
Back to regular episodes — and back to the zeitgeist! On this, the 22nd episode of ‘You Should See The Other Guy,' we're covering ‘The Kissing Booth 2' (2020), which is currently #1 on Netflix. Should Elle have chosen dreamy guitar-playing hunk Marco Peña (Taylor Zakhar Perez) over brooding and dangerously tall Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi)? Does it matter? Why is everyone at school so obsessed with Elle and the Flynns? Why do they act like theater kids without being theater kids? Is this movie trying to be a slapstick comedy? These questions and more will be explored upon your clickage of the “play” button.
Host Andrew Morgan (@jokesondrew) is joined by the co-hosts of Pinky Promise (@pinkypromisepod), KATIE ARROYO & LAURA MANASEWICH, to break down the sequel smash of the summer, THE KISSING BOOTH 2, starring Joey King, Joel Courtney, Jacob Elordi, Molly Ringwald, and introducing Taylor Zakhar Perez as Marco! They discuss the Thanksgiving disaster, the possibly toxic friendship of Elle & Lee, what we hope to see in the recently announced Part 3, and Andrew even tosses in an awkward story from his youth at the very end!
