He then rants about Jeff Bezos some more because Jeff just seems like the worst dude to be around at a party. I bet he like, has everything so he's not amazed by anyone's stories. Ugh. What a nightmare. Anyways, there's news on the incoming COVID-19 booster shots which somehow Alex finds a way to turn into an angry rant about the Ace Family and other influencers who are currently scamming people. Ted Cruz also gets roasted. Then Alex reacts to videos of crazy exes doing messed up things, and shares a recording his crazy ex sent him. There's a rant about the Bible somewhere in there. Polticalish continues our conversation with Alex Vassar. Part 2 will introduce you to many of the dynasties in CA political history. But we start discussing the changes to CA politics due to the transition from rural to urban communities, the 1960s court cases about “one man, one vote,” and the rise of the professional legislator. Then Alex talks about dynasties including the family  that was CA Secretary of State for 60 years and how one AG represented CA for 40 years. Then we hear about the CA Constitutional offices that no longer exist and finish with a historical character we should know more about, Katherine Niehouse, the only women in the legislature for a decade. Check us out at politicalish.com

Six Feet Apart with Alex Wagner

For a country that loves to shop, COVID-19 has forced Americans to focus their spending sprees on toilet paper and masks. What's happened to that favorite American pastime — shopping — in the middle of a pandemic? Is anyone buying? Are warehouses simply filled with stuff… and will it go on sale? This week, Alex talks to Clare Vivier, the designer and owner of the fashion brand Clare V. Clare discusses how she's handled factory closures and shuttered warehouses. Then Alex talks to Kasi, a clerk at a Hobby Lobby in Missouri, whose doors opened to the public last week. She shares her experience going back to work to sell craft supplies, and whether crochet needles count as essential materials in a pandemic. Learn more about your ad choices.
