In this episode of One in Ten, host Teresa Huizar speaks with researcher Dr. Elizabeth Jeglic about preventing educator sexual misconduct, which has increased in schools even as abuse rates have declined in other youth-serving settings. Welcome to Without a Country, where we break down the biggest stories in politics, culture, and the internet without the usual filter. This episode covers a wide range of topics, starting with the LA mayor race and why Spencer Pratt is being taken more seriously than people expected. There's also a surprising shift from Perez Hilton after a near-death experience that completely changed his perspective. We get into the situation between Alex Cooper and Alex IRL and what it says about the podcast and influencer space right now. From there, the conversation moves into a New York Times op-ed, the idea of a “liberal Joe Rogan,” and why figures like Hasan Piker keep coming up in media discussions. There's also a longer breakdown of Zionism, anti-Zionism, and how the meaning of those terms has evolved, along with how younger generations are viewing Israel and Palestine differently.Later in the episode, we talk about the SantaCon fraud story and how something that's supposed to be charitable turned into a major scandal. Then we spend time unpacking the allegations against Eric Swalwell and the larger conversation around power, politics, and sexual misconduct. The episode wraps up with a deeper look at global conflict, including the situation in the West Bank and what it could mean going forward.00:00:00 Intro00:02:30 Show Overview News, Politics, Culture00:02:50 LA Mayor Race Spencer Pratt vs Karen Bass00:05:00 Perez Hilton Near-Death and Religious Shift00:09:50 Alex Cooper vs Alex IRL Drama00:12:30 Call Her Daddy Industry Tension00:15:10 NYT Op-Ed Breakdown Ezra Klein00:17:00 Liberal Joe Rogan Debate00:21:00 Hasan Piker and Media Hypocrisy00:26:00 Zionism vs Anti-Zionism Deep Dive00:32:00 Language, Politics and Online Narratives00:36:00 Israel, Gaza and Lebanon Discussion00:39:00 Democrats, Media Strategy and Cancel Culture00:41:20 Why Conversation Matters More Than Agreement00:45:00 Cancel Culture Backfiring00:49:30 Algorithm Clips and Misrepresentation00:51:00 SantaCon Fraud Scandal NYC00:54:30 Money Laundering and Arrest Breakdown00:55:50 Patreon and Show Support01:00:00 Eric Swalwell Allegations Begin01:02:00 Power, Politics and Timing of Accusations01:08:00 Additional Accusers and Misconduct Claims01:12:00 Workplace Dynamics and Power Imbalance01:18:00 Believability vs Political Strategy01:25:00 Sexual Misconduct in Politics01:35:00 Cultural Patterns and Repeated Behavior01:45:00 Global Abuse Cases and Survivor Stories01:48:30 Case Studies and Trauma Impact02:00:00 Trust, Trauma and Psychological Fallout02:10:00 Justice System Failures02:20:00 Gender, Power and Media Commentary02:35:00 Audience Reflection and Societal Patterns02:50:00 Political Media and Messaging Frustrations02:55:00 NYC Politics and Content Strategy03:00:00 Final Israel and West Bank Discussion03:01:00 Settler Violence and Long-Term Consequences03:05:00 Outro and CreditsSUBSCRIBE TO THE PATREON:https://patreon.com/WithoutACountry?utm_medium=unknown&utm_source=join_link&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=copyLinkFOLLOW WITHOUT A COUNTRY ON IG: @withoutacountryppodcastFOLLOW CORINNE ON IG: @philanthropygalFOLLOW MIKE ON IG: @themharringtonLiberal Joe Rogan Op Ed: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/12/opinion/hasan-piker-democrats.htmlENEMY OF THE STATE: Santaconhttps://archive.is/gkNzfDICTATOR = Christopher FanguyCapitalist Pigs, Cuties!Hello to my newest Capitalist Pig = Xana RogersMAIN STORYEric Swalwell (and Tony Gonzalez) https://www.thecut.com/article/all-the-allegations-against-eric-swalwell.htmlhttps://www.archivebuttons.com/articles?article=https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2026/04/eric-swalwell-abuse-allegations-lewd-photos.html#google_vignettehttps://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/04/15/swalwell-allegations-democrats-california-rise/Tony Gonzalez'https://archive.is/QUgSSCutie Cornerhttps://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/pennsylvania-man-pleads-guilty-creating-and-distributing-animal-crush-videosGUUUURLTicketmasterhttps://www.npr.org/2026/04/15/nx-s1-5786715/live-nation-ticketmaster-antitrust-verdict-monopolyTrump As Jesushttps://archive.is/snmkZSurveillance in Americahttps://www.npr.org/2026/04/14/nx-s1-5768270/what-to-know-about-section-702-surveillanceSam Altmanhttps://archive.is/ClM50Hungarian electionhttps://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2026/04/13/hungary-election-orban-defeat-message-democrats-00868584https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/14/world/europe/viktor-orban-peter-magyar-election.htmlIsrael/Lebanonhttps://www.democracynow.org/2026/4/15/headlines/lebanon_and_israel_hold_first_direct_talks_in_more_than_three_decadesFP article actually critical of Israelhttps://www.thefp.com/p/israel-has-an-extremism-problem?utm_campaign=260347&utm_source=cross-post&r=3l2hy&utm_medium=emailSexual Violence by IDFhttps://www.middleeasteye.net/news/i-wished-death-sexual-violence-israels-prisons-organised-state-policySee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

MAGA's biggest voices are openly turning against Donald Trump over the Iran war, and Hawk breaks down exactly what Alex Jones, Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Marjorie Taylor Greene are saying about their own president. John Favreau delivers a dramatic reading of Trump's unhinged all-caps Truth Social post responding to the revolt, and it has to be seen to be believed. Eric Swalwell's carefully worded denial of a CNN exposé gets dissected line by line. Swalwell does not deny sending unsolicited explicit photos and videos to multiple women. He does not deny sexual contact with accusers. He denies only that specific encounters constitute sexual assault. The distinction matters, and Hawk walks through exactly what Swalwell said and, more importantly, what he refused to say. Nearly every major Democratic endorsement, including Adam Schiff, has already been pulled. Hassan Piker's Pod Save America interview with Jon Favreau drops today, including his claim that the Republican Party is the world's biggest terrorist organization. Hawk weighs in on the coordinated establishment Democrat and Third Way campaign targeting Piker, arguing it has everything to do with his criticism of Israel and nothing else. Tucker Carlson gets confronted live on camera by BBC host Victoria Derbyshire over Holocaust-denying and Nazi-sympathizing guests, including Nick Fuentes. Tim Dillon suggests Trump should admit the Butler, Pennsylvania assassination attempt was staged. Viktor Orbán loses his election in Hungary today, and MAGA is devastated. Hawk reads the reactions, including commentators mourning the fall of their authoritarian blueprint while making their Islamophobia very clear. Hawk, a retired 28-year trial attorney, walks through the CNN article and the New York Times report revealing that the Manhattan District Attorney has opened a criminal investigation into Swalwell, calling on additional victims to come forward. The pattern of conduct alleged, targeting young women who worked for him, volunteered for him, or simply admired him politically, points to a serial abuse of power. Swalwell has denied all allegations, called them false, and has had his attorneys send cease and desist letters threatening defamation suits against two of his accusers. Hawk addresses the legal standard for defamation and why those letters may say more about intimidation than innocence. Also addressed: the troubling response from a vocal segment of liberal women on social media who are publicly refusing to believe the accusers, drawing a direct parallel to the defense of Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. With corroborating evidence, witness testimony, and a Manhattan DA investigation now underway, Hawk argues Swalwell must drop out of the governor's race and resign his House seat. Now a proposal to make those cases public has just been buried — by Congress itself. In a 357–65 vote, the House sent a resolution to committee that would have forced disclosure of sexual misconduct allegations and settlements involving lawmakers and aides. In Washington terms, that means the bill is essentially dead.In this episode, we break down:• How taxpayer money is used to settle sexual harassment claims involving politicians• Why Congress refused to make those settlements public• The argument lawmakers used to justify killing the transparency bill• How sending legislation “to committee” is often a quiet way to bury it forever• Why accountability disappears when Congress investigates itself• And what this says about how Washington protects its own

Did Congress just vote to hide its own sexual misconduct files while demanding transparency from everyone else?In this episode of Go Right with Peter Boykin, Peter dives into the explosive House vote that sent an effort to release congressional sexual misconduct and harassment records straight into the procedural graveyard. By a staggering 357 to 65 vote, members of Congress from both parties chose secrecy over sunlight, raising serious questions about accountability, hypocrisy, and what exactly Washington does not want the American people to see.Watch the Podcast:https://rumble.com/v76yfbe-did-congress-just-vote-to-hide-its-own-sexual-misconduct-files.htmlhttps://youtu.be/KZrFYQka2b4Listen to the Podcast:https://www.spreaker.com/episode/did-congress-just-vote-to-hide-its-own-sexual-misconduct-files-while-demanding-transparency-from-everyone-else--70590135Read it Here: https://gorightnews.com/did-congress-just-vote-to-hide-its-own-sexual-misconduct-files-while-demanding-transparency-from-everyone-else/This episode breaks down the vote, the arguments used to defend it, the history of secretive handling of misconduct claims in Congress, and why this matters far beyond Capitol Hill. It also connects the dots between lawmakers who loudly demand transparency in other high-profile cases, while suddenly becoming very protective of privacy when the spotlight turns inward. If public office is supposed to be a public trust, then Americans have every right to ask why Congress continues to shield itself from the same scrutiny it demands of everyone else.In this episode:Congressional sexual misconduct filesNancy Mace's transparency pushThe 357 to 65 House voteCongressional hypocrisy and secrecyThe Epstein files comparisonWhy accountability matters in a Constitutional RepublicVisit GoRightNews.com for more original reporting and commentary from a Constitutionalist for Liberty perspective.Follow Go Right with Peter Boykin on Rumble, Spotify, Spreaker, Apple, Amazon, YouTube, Bitchute, GAB, Truth Social, TikTok, Facebook, and X.Support independent journalism and commentary at Cash App $GoRightNews#GoRight, #PeterBoykin, #GoRightNews, #Congress, #NancyMace, #Transparency, #Accountability, #EpsteinFiles, #HouseOfRepresentatives, #PoliticalHypocrisy, #Constitutionalist, #ConstitutionalRepublic, #Podcast, #Rumble, #YouTubeBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/go-right-with-peter-boykin-the-constitutionalist-for-liberty--3096608/support.

In the last decade, more than 150 teachers in Washington were disciplined for sexual misconduct. But new reporting from Investigate West found that many of these cases weren’t easily accessible to the public. The reason the information is hidden? When a teacher voluntarily surrenders their license, their information in the state’s misconduct database is shielded from public view. Nearly 45% of teachers on this database volunteered to surrender their license. Moe Clark is a collaborative investigative journalist for IW and a Murrow News Fellow through Washington State University. She joins us to share more.

For the next few weeks, the guys will be re-airing some of their favourite episodes from our archives.Today, Ali and Asif review the new documentary about Louis CK, ‘Sorry / Not Sorry' (1:53). They start off by discussing Louis CK's background, his blockbuster success as a stand up comedian and how he changed the financial model of stand up comedy specials. Then then discuss his sexual impropriety as outlined in the New York Times as well as in the documentary. The guys go over what they perceive as his lack of an apology as well as how CK was definitely not “canceled”. Louis CK does suffer from male pattern baldness (androgenic alopecia), so in the second half of the episode, the guys discuss hair transplants (28:36) (N.B. Louis CK has never stated that he has had a hair transplant). Asif starts off by discussing how common baldness is and what causes it in most men. He then goes over other treatments for baldness like ‘Rogaine' and ‘Propecia'. He then goes over what hair transplants entail, the procedure, the costs, and the outcomes. In this episode of the Crazy Wisdom podcast, host Stewart Alsop sits down with Kelvin Lwin for their second conversation exploring the fascinating intersection of AI and Buddhist cosmology. Lwin brings his unique perspective as both a technologist with deep Silicon Valley experience and a serious meditation practitioner who's spent decades studying Buddhist philosophy. Together, they examine how AI development fits into ancient spiritual prophecies, discuss the dangerous allure of LLMs as potentially "asura weapons" that can mislead users, and explore verification methods for enlightenment claims in our modern digital age. The conversation ranges from technical discussions about the need for better AI compilers and world models to profound questions about humanity's role in what Lwin sees as an inevitable technological crucible that will determine our collective spiritual evolution. For more information about Kelvin's work on attention training and AI, visit his website at alin.ai. The Rarity of Polymath AI-Spirituality Perspectives: Kelvin argues that very few people are approaching AI through spiritual frameworks because it requires being a polymath with deep knowledge across multiple domains. Most people specialize in one field, and combining AI expertise with Buddhist cosmology requires significant time, resources, and academic background that few possess.2. Traditional Enlightenment Verification vs. Modern Claims: There are established methods for verifying enlightenment claims in Buddhist traditions, including adherence to the five precepts and overcoming hell rebirth through karmic resolution. Many modern Western practitioners claiming enlightenment fail these traditional tests, often changing the criteria when they can't meet the original requirements.3. The 500-Year Buddhist Prophecy and Current Timing: We are approximately 60 years into a prophesied 500-year period where enlightenment becomes possible again. This "startup phase of Buddhism revival" coincides with technological developments like the internet and AI, which are seen as integral to this spiritual renaissance rather than obstacles to it.4. LLMs as UI Solution, Not Reasoning Engine: While LLMs have solved the user interface problem of capturing human intent, they fundamentally cannot reason or make decisions due to their token-based architecture. The technology works well enough to create illusion of capability, leading people down an asymptotic path away from true solutions.5. The Need for New Programming Paradigms: Current AI development caters too much to human cognitive limitations through familiar programming structures. True advancement requires moving beyond human-readable code toward agent-generated languages that prioritize efficiency over human comprehension, similar to how compilers already translate high-level code.6. AI as Asura Weapon in Spiritual Warfare: From Buddhist cosmological perspective, AI represents an asura (demon-realm) tool that appears helpful but is fundamentally wasteful and disruptive to human consciousness. Humanity exists as the battleground between divine and demonic forces, with AI serving as a weapon that both sides employ in this cosmic conflict.7. 2029 as Critical Convergence Point: Multiple technological and spiritual trends point toward 2029 as when various systems will reach breaking points, forcing humanity to either transcend current limitations or be consumed by them. This timing aligns with both technological development curves and spiritual prophecies about transformation periods.

In this episode of SoundPractice, Matthew Mazurek, MD, assistant professor of anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine discusses his new book, Sexual Misconduct, Harassment, and Discrimination in Healthcare by the AAPL. Mazurek reveals sexual misconduct in healthcare occurs on multiple levels: - Confidential surveys show the problem remains significantly underreported. - Social media has created new avenues for inappropriate behavior, particularly among younger staff members. - Healthcare workers face harassment from patients more frequently than in other STEM fields due to physical touching and power dynamics. For healthcare leaders conducting investigations, Mazurek recommends: - Use two-person interview teams to avoid "he said, she said" situations while preventing respondents from feeling ganged up on. - Strip away who is telling the story and focus objectively on what happened. - Involve risk management early in high-stakes cases. - Maintain consistency in questioning and look for corroboration. Reality check: Lack of standardization across 50 state medical boards contributes to delays in addressing misconduct, with some physicians maintaining long histories of violations before consequences. Mazurek emphasizes prevention over investigation expertise: - Leadership must model appropriate behavior — executives engaging in misconduct set a tone of tolerance. - Training programs should use case studies in small groups to help staff feel the emotional impact, not just understand it intellectually. - Address microaggressions through comprehensive education on bias and stereotypes. - Create policies expressly covering social media interactions with colleagues as part of the work environment. The bottom line: Healthcare organizations must balance their duty to provide safe environments for staff with their obligation to care for patients, even when patient behavior crosses lines.
