It's Friday, October 4th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Biden/Harris gave $68 million to Somalia despite support of Hamas On Tuesday, the U.S. government agreed to provide $68.5 million in aid to Somalia, a financially struggling Muslim-majority nation in Africa, despite the country's open support for Hamas and ongoing persecution of Christians, reports International Christian Concern. Indeed, Open Doors ranks Somalia as the second worst country worldwide for the persecution of Christians. In November 2023, Somalia Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre asserted in a public speech that Hamas isn't a terror organization but rather a group of freedom fighters. Barre also stated that Jews and Israelis are “children of pigs and monkeys.”  Barre said, “Hamas is an Islamic liberation movement. They are righteous … [We're] now being forced to accept that Hamas is a terrorist group. We'll never accept this.”  Truth be told, Hamas is a Muslim terrorist organization. Hamas has been resoundingly condemned on the world stage for slaughtering 1,200 innocent civilians in Israel on October 7, 2023, and labeled a terrorist organization by the United States.   Psalm 37:28 says, "For the LORD loves justice; he will not forsake His faithful ones." Kamala Harris offers $750 to Hurricane Helene victims Your life is worth about $750 – that's according to Vice President Kamala Harris. That's what she announced was available for people devastated by Hurricane Helene. HARRIS: “Federal relief and assistance that we have been providing has included FEMA providing $750 for folks who need immediate needs being met, such as food, baby formula, and the like. And you can apply now for anyone who is watching this, who has been affected.” Christian radio talk show host Todd Starnes said, “Their homes have been washed away. Road and bridges gone. Bodies buried in mud – stuck in trees. Children found wandering in the ruins of towns without any clothes. It is a modern-day apocalypse. The death toll stands at more than 200 and I'm being told by my law enforcement sources in North Carolina – the final number is going to be staggering.” Starnes added, “Be enraged, America. Be righteously enraged. Nearly one week later and the federal disaster response has been nothing short of treasonous.” Country music star John Rich tweeted, “Just spoke to a friend of mine in law enforcement in NC. He said that they have, and I quote: “Already used over 500 body bags, and there are bodies in trees, mud, cars, houses, everywhere. No Fed support whatsoever.” GOP Rep. Cory Mills of FL: “America needs to get its priorities straight!” Republican Congressman Cory Mills of Florida has been leading a massive civilian relief effort. He told Fox News that the response from the federal government has been irresponsible and inept. MILLS: “We'll focus and prioritize illegal criminal migrants, as well as for borders 9,000 miles away. I think America needs to get its priorities straight! “So, as of yesterday, on day three, we've distributed about 13,000 pounds of various supplies -- everything from Starlink systems to different locations are completely remote and cut off and isolated so that we can get our missing persons numbers down. Remember, a lot of people are saying, ‘Well, I haven't heard from my family members since the last text I received.' It's getting bad. And so that obviously allows us to be able to cut down the number of welfare checks that we're doing, as well as for search and rescue missions.” Congressman Mills talked about what they are distributing. MILLS: “We're distributing generators today, food supplies, and mostly medications. People are running short on insulin, on oxygen bottles. We've got helicopters that every single day we're loading with different materials, thanks to great organizations and charities like Mercury One. Thanks to organizations like Universal Air. We utilize the helicopters to be able to do remote pickup.” Congressman Mills of Florida described the rescue of one elderly man. MILLS: “We're also doing evacuations. You know, just the other day, there's an 83-year-old man that was his birthday, actually, who was suffering from signs of hypertension or cardiac arrest. This is a guy who has been having cancer treatments, and he had to be immediately medevacked from Bailey, North Carolina, where we picked him up, all the way over to Johnson City.” In light of the physical devastation and the growing number of fatalities, Congressman Mills expressed dismay with the federal government's response. MILLS: “We're hitting about three to four cities a day. Yesterday, we hit Pensacola, and talking to the fire chief there was very, very disheartening. He said they had four fatalities recently, two of which they knew that floated down the river they couldn't get to. He said that they'll be recovering bodies, unfortunately, throughout the end of the year. There's towns that are absolutely devastated. My question is, ‘Where's the federal government? Where's the rest of our elected officials?'” Homeland Secretary Mayorkas admits FEMA is broke Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says the Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA is broke. He warned that FEMA does not have enough funding for the hurricane season. Listen. MAYORKAS: “We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.” Biden-Harris siphoned $1 billion of FEMA money off to illegal aliens The questions is simple. Where did the money go? The answer is devastating! The Biden-Harris administration siphoned off more than one BILLION dollars of money meant for FEMA's emergency food and shelter program for Americans and gave it to illegal aliens. Talk show host Todd Starnes concluded, “Americans are on their own. It turns out that your tax dollars are basically funding an illegal immigration resettlement program. More than $1 billion dollars given to take care of the illegals – only $750 for American citizens. Illegals First. American taxpayers last. Are you outraged, America?” Tim Walz: "I've become friends with school shooters.” And finally, on Tuesday, during the Vice Presidential debate in New York City, CBS anchor Norah O'Donnell asked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz about his evolving position on guns. O'DONNELL: “You previously opposed an assault weapons ban, but only later in your political career did you change your position. Why?” WALZ: “Yeah, I sat in that office with those Sandy Hook parents. I've become friends with school shooters. I've seen it look the NRA. I was NRA guy for a long time. They used to teach gun safety. I'm of an age where my shotgun was in my car so I could pheasant hunt after football practice. That's not where we live today.” Clearly, Walz misspoke and meant to say he's become friends with the victims of school shooters. But that's not what he said. WALZ: “I've become friends with school shooters.” That's a gaffe that makes Joe Biden look like a Harvard law professor. Donald Trump posted this reaction to Walz's remark on Truth Social.  He wrote, “Second time he has said, ‘I've been friends with school shooters.' What does he mean by this? Is he insane?” The best explanation comes from something else Walz said in that Vice Presidential debate. WALZ: “I've tried to do the best I can, but I've not been perfect. I'm a knucklehead at times. Many times I will talk a lot. I will get caught up in the rhetoric.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, October 4th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. Today we have another in person episode for you. This is someone that to be honest, has made such a big impact on who I am today, and he probably doesn't even know it. I've been “coaching” and helping people with their personal brands and businesses far before I ever launched Builders of Authority. And so often I would offer help and people would look at what I've done and make every excuse in the book as to why it was “too much”. Not today's guest. And today's guest has gone through an incredible journey. With plenty of ups and downs and challenges. He could have made excuses at every step in the journey, but he's resilient and for that, I can't thank him enough. He's a member of our BOA Mastermind and one of my 1-1 Inner Circle coaching clients. My guest today is Brad Starnes. He is the Owner of Screamin Cow Marketing Group and the Host of the Unfair Advantage Podcast. Brad's Bio:As the CEO & President of Screamin Cow Marketing Group, I lead St. Louis' premier marketing agency dedicated to elevating Home Service and Professional Service businesses. With a knack for strategic innovation and a passion for transformative marketing, my journey to the forefront of the industry is a testament to resilience, ingenuity, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Before beginning on the entrepreneurial path that led me to Screamin Cow, I founded Splitsy, a fintech venture that revolutionized how we manage shared expenses. Under my leadership, Splitsy not only secured a significant 6-figure crowdfunding investment but also earned a coveted spot in Equifax's inaugural accelerator program. My efforts were recognized when I was honored as the 2021 Bloch School Entrepreneur of The Year, a milestone that highlights my commitment to disrupting the status quo.Despite the challenges that led to Splitsy's closure, my entrepreneurial spirit never wavered. The experience taught me invaluable lessons in resilience, leading me to a pivotal role in business development in St. Louis. This role set the stage for the creation of Screamin Cow Marketing Group, which, under my guidance, has seen remarkable growth. In just a year, we've built a talented team and are on the brink of surpassing six figures in revenue, with 2024 shaping up to be a year of exponential growth.Beyond my professional pursuits, my faith and the support of my family are my guiding lights. As a man of Christ who navigates the world with a stutter, I've learned the power of authentic communication and perseverance. My dedication to service is evident through my volunteer work with organizations like Missouri Boys State, and my commitment to building and nurturing both my personal brand and those around me. My driving force is my wife, our two dogs, and the future we're crafting together. In 2007, Todd Starnes was working at Fox News and covering then-Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign. “I just felt like that was going to be the historic campaign, and it turned out to be,” says Starnes, a bestselling author and nationally syndicated radio host. The political climate facing America right now is in part due to the “residual after-effects of the Barack Obama presidency,” according to Starnes. The former Democratic senator from Illinois was president from 2009 to 2017.“First, Obama categorized all of the [2008 GOP opponent Sen.] John McCain supporters … [as] the folks that cling to their guns and their religion,” Starnes said. “He called them ‘bitter' Americans. He made those remarks in a speech in San Francisco. And then you had Hillary Clinton coming out and talking about the irredeemable ‘deplorables.'”Starnes says both Obama and Clinton “were trying to dehumanize their opponents, their political opponents.” Second, Starnes points to Obama's pledge to “fundamentally” transform America. In his new book, “Twilight's Last Gleaming: Can America Be Saved?” Starnes explains how America arrived at the political division it finds itself in right now, and just how much time he thinks the nation has to right its course before it's too late. Starnes joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain more. Enjoy the show! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

It's Tuesday, February 13th, AD 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes and heard at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson                                                                                               Finnish voters reject homosexual candidate for Prime Minister Finland's presidential election on Sunday ended on the right side of the center, reports The Guardian.  Former Prime Minister Alexander Stubb won the election against the homosexual leftist, Pekka Haavisto, in a close race. The vote came out 52% to 48%. New Dutch law allows euthanizing kids under 12 A Dutch law allowing the euthanizing of children under 12 years of age went into effect on February 1st, reports Reuters. This allows for the killing of children who suffer “hopelessly and unbearably” as determined by doctors.  Previously, the Netherlands only allowed euthanasia for persons over 12 years of age. Former Brazilian president investigated for questioning 2022 election results While the leading Republican nominee for U.S. president, Donald Trump, faces 91 criminal charges — some related to his alleged opposition to the 2020 election results -- now Brazil's former president, Jair Bolsonaro, is being investigated for allegedly trying to overturn the results of his 2022 election.   Four of his aides have been arrested by the Lula de Silva government. 86% of Americans don't believe Biden is “fit to serve” An ABC/IPSOS poll found that 86% of Americans do not believe President Joe Biden is “fit to serve.”  That included 73% registered Democrats and 91% of the Independent voting base. This comes after a Special Counsel report described the current president as “an elderly man with a poor memory.” A recent Rasmussen poll found that 42% of likely U.S. voters respected Donald Trump as a leader, and only 21% would say the same thing for President Joe Biden. Donald Trump asked Supreme Court to affirm his immunity claim On Monday, Donald Trump asked the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on his argument that he has immunity from prosecution on any alleged actions he may have taken to overturn the 2020 election results. He asked the high court to put a hold on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruling that rejected his immunity claim, reports CNBC.  Gunman, pretending to be a woman, shot dead in Osteen's church On Sunday afternoon, a man, pretending to be a woman, entered Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas with a long gun before the 2:00pm service and began firing.   Born Jeffrey Escalante from El Salvador, he pulled out an AR-15 from his trench coat, pointed it at the officers, who then fired upon him, killing him in self-defense, and halting the attack, reports Fox News.  Escalante's 7-year-old son, whose age was initially described as 5, was seriously injured during the exchange of gunfire.  And a 57-year-old man, who was shot in the leg, is expected to survive.   Escalante, age 36, pretended to be a woman named Genesse Ivonne Moreno. He had a history of mental health problems and antisemitic inclinations. Perhaps that's why the word “Palestine” was written on the long rifle. Here's what Joel Osteen said in the news conference: OSTEEN: “These men and women did an amazing job. You said it Chief. It could have been a lot worse. Of course, we're devastated. I mean, this is, we've been here 65 years and have someone shooting in your church. But, you know, we don't understand why these things happen. But we know God is in control.  And we'll pray for that little five-year-old boy and pray for the lady that was deceased.” Christian talk host Todd Starnes wants LGBT movement investigated Christian talk show host Todd Starnes described the shooting as a domestic terrorist attack perpetuated by a member of the LGBT community. Indeed, there have been a dozen such attacks. Transgender people were the shooters at Covenant Christian School in Nashville, at a Denver school, and at an Iowan school.  Plus, the Colorado Springs shooter claimed to be non-binary. Starnes said, “It's time for federal investigations about why the LGBT movement is turning young people into violent extremists.” Kansas City Chiefs win Superbowl The Kansas City Chiefs clinched their third Super Bowl win in five years in Sunday's game with a score of 25 to 22. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes joins the club of five quarterbacks winning three or more Super Bowls.  New England Patriot Quarterback Tom Brady leads the pack with 7 Super Bowl wins to his name. But let us remember what Jesus said, “I do not receive honor from men. ... How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?” (John 5:44) The controversial “Jesus Gets Us” Super Bowl ad Speaking of the Super Bowl, the PR campaign for Jesus, better known as the HeGetsUs ad campaign, aired another ad on the Super Bowl broadcast this year. The campaign offered a confusing Christian message relating to love, God's law, abortion, and homosexuality. The ad featured a priest washing the feet of a member of the LGBTQ community, and another woman washing the feet of a young woman outside an abortion clinic with pro-life protesters standing in the background. The message informs everybody that “Jesus didn't teach hate. He washed feet.” Hobby Lobby co-founder David Green contributed to the campaign.  In Revelation 2:20-23, Jesus said this to the church at Thyatira: “I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality. … I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts.” Student in hot water for affirming two genders on shirt When Nichols Middle School in Middleborough, Massachusetts told the students to “wear a positive message of acceptance/love” during the school's Pride spirit week, 12-year-old Liam Morrison chose rather to wear a shirt that stated, “There are only two genders.” The school banned the shirt, and a lower court upheld the ban.  Alliance Defending Freedom has appealed the case to the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals. Colorado abortion mills 26% busier And finally, the Denver Post reports that Colorado abortion clinics have increased their business by 26% since the reversal of Roe V. Wade. After multiple pro-abortion efforts succeeded in state referendums since the Dobbs case, 2024 promises to be an active year with more referendums on the ballot. These include Florida, Nevada, Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana, and Missouri, reports the Los Angeles Times. Please welcome our guest, Melissa Starnes of The Violet Fox Healing Arts in Dallas, Texas. Melissa is a Reiki Master trained by Jenny Stinson at The Peace Room. She is a registered nurse with a deep interest in the impact of energy healing on the human condition. You can connect with Melissa at https://m.facebook.com/groups/593685758351532/permalink/894182414968530/?mibextid=SDPelYHere's the text of her meditation:I'd like to walk you through a little meditation on learning how to trust your intuition. Have you ever wanted to hone your intuition and just didn't know where to start? In this exercise, you will explore how to better refine your intuition and learn to trust yourself more fully with a simple tool.So if you are ready to become more confident in your intuition, your decisions, and ability to trust yourself, let's get started. Let's start by relaxing the tongue from the roof of our mouth. Roll out your shoulders a couple of times forward and a couple of times backward. Take a big, deep breath through your nose, expanding your lungs all the way to the base of your ribs, fill your chest, expand fully. Now slowly release, expelling all the air from your lungs. Return to your regular breathing pattern. Now I want you to think of a statement that is true. This could be, my birthday is, and fill in the blank. My home address is, and then fill in the blank. I want you to say this statement out loud, but I want you to pay attention to how that statement fills in your body.Where do you feel it? Is it high in your heart? Is it low in your gut? Does it feel tight? Does it feel loose? Does it feel peaceful or exciting? Now say the true statement again. Do you feel it? That is the feeling of truth or confirmation. Now we are going to do the opposite. Think of a [00:02:00] false statement. You can use the same statement as before, just with inaccurate information. Now speak your full statement. Pause. Repeat it again, paying attention to how that feels. Does it feel different than your true statement? Does it feel lower or higher or in a different place in your body? That feeling is your feeling of inaccuracy or unalignment. Now, you can do this exercise as many times as you need to in order to solidify the feeling. You can use the exercise to calibrate yourself, so to speak, should you need to prior to asking your inner self for guidance. I suggest starting with minor things that have less impact on your life and moving towards building or rebuilding that [00:03:00] trust in your intuition that has been right there inside to you all along.Thank you for listening and thank yourself for taking five minutes of peace. How many times has your child come to you with questions that have left you feeling at a loss for what to say? Thankfully, my guest, Dr. Lauren Starnes, has you covered! In this episode, Dr. Starnes and I talk about how to talk about hard things with our children. We are talking about miscarriage, death of a pet, divorce, and gun violence. Regardless of the topic, she says that we want to get into the practice of giving ourselves a moment to respond. In other words, to pause. This practice lets you gather your thoughts, notice your emotions and center yourself. It's ok to take a moment so you can be intentional about what you say, versus blurting out something you can't take back. Dr. Starnes guides us through the process of finding out what your child knows and thinks about what they're asking about, how they feel, and what you can do for next steps.  It's inevitable that you kids will come to you with big questions, and this will help you navigate these delicate waters with confidence.  For a copy of Lauren's handouts on divorce and gun violence from the book “Big Conversations with Little Children”, go to the Parent Toolbox to download them for free. www.parent-toolbox.com About Dr. Lauren Starnes Dr. Lauren Starnes is the senior vice president and chief academic officer at Goddard Systems, LLC., the franchisor of The Goddard School. On today's episode, Dennis speaks with former LEO and elected Judge, Eric Starnes & SCT case law instructor, Zach Miller. Eric Starnes is a conservative Republican, former law enforcement officer, and experienced prosecutor running. He is now the elected Judge of Tarrant County Criminal Court No. 7. A lifelong Texan, Starnes earned his Masters of Public Administration from the University of North Texas and his Juris Doctorate at Texas Wesleyan University. His roots in Tarrant County run deep, having served to keep his community safe for nearly three decades within the criminal justice system—both on the street and in the courts. Spending time on both sides of law enforcement has afforded Starnes a valuable perspective on justice… one that isn't learned in law school alone. During his more than 23 years of service with the Euless Police Department, he worked his way up from a patrol officer to Lieutenant of Investigations. In that capacity he oversaw the coordination of all criminal investigations, while managing a $1.6 million budget and a staff of eighteen. While in this position he testified in criminal trials on multiple occasions—providing him an experience that a vast majority of criminal lawyers do not have. This insight has served Starnes well in both his current role as a Tarrant County Assistant Criminal District Attorney, where he has worked exclusively for the last four years within the Criminal Division on both felony and misdemeanor cases. In addition to his years in private law practice, his dedication to jurisprudence has further led to his becoming both a published writer and a professor, educating students on the laws that surround the basis of the Fourth Amendment's search and seizure clause—a subject vital to the criminal court system. Experienced, Knowledgeable, Fair-minded… Eric Starnes understands the difference between being an “active” judge and an “activist” judge. He seeks to efficiently move cases through the court system—protecting taxpayer dollars and ensuring the professional and just treatment of all who enter his courtroom. Today, Dennis, Eric and Zach discuss Eric's background and career and clarify 4th Amendment case law, specifically seeking consent to search when you have PC.
