Tune in here to this Friday edition of the Brett Winterble Show! Robyn Pfaffman, filling in on today’s edition of the show, discusses several timely topics, primarily focused on Democratic politics and recent actions by President Donald Trump. One recent development she highlights is Trump’s announcement that he will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at The White House on Sunday. On the Democratic side, Pfaffman explores the concept she refers to as “Democrat Mommy Makeovers.” In reference to the "Mommy Makeovers", Pfaffman explains that she was recently watching CNN and observed former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg appearing on the network with a beard, which she suggests was intended to make him look older and more masculine. She also notes that Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker appeared slimmer in a recent CNN appearance, estimating that he has lost about 20 to 30 pounds. Pfaffman is also joined by Newsmax host Todd Starnes, who weighs in on the current state of the Democratic Party. Starnes discusses several recent developments, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s potential presidential ambitions. He also names lawmakers he believes are exerting significant influence within the party, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jasmine Crockett and Ilhan Omar. Starnes argues that the Democratic Party has become “radically progressive” and is leaning toward socialism. It's Friday, August 1st, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Christians evicted from their homes in Chhattisgarh, India Three years ago, Manu, a 37-year-old day laborer in Chhattisgarh, India, came to faith in Jesus after experiencing a miraculous healing. Then, roughly two months ago, he started to pay a price for his Christian faith, reports International Christian Concern. Manu said, “I was thrown out of my house because I follow Jesus.” He is one of the hundreds of Christians who have been evicted from their homes and banned from their villages in Chhattisgarh because of their faith in Christ. Hindu nationalists, who want India to be a purely Hindu nation, are increasingly forcing Christians to become homeless and destitute. The goal of the violent attacks is to force the believers to return to Hinduism. Manu, his wife, and their two children have taken shelter in a temporary bamboo shed since May 21. He said, “My children are getting sick ever since we moved into this shed. The small bamboo shed does not protect us from rain, wind, and extreme weather conditions. This shed was used as a chicken shed prior to our occupation, with no facilities for people to live.” The persecution didn't end with the family losing their property. Hindu villagers also shunned the family, preventing them from purchasing products from certain vendors and hindering Manu from securing employment. When asked what keeps him from giving up on his faith, Manu explained, “Jesus gave me life, He gave me peace, and I am willing to make any sacrifice and bear all these hardships. I know it's all worth it.” In John 10:10, Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” House Speaker: Democrats never mentioned Epstein files during Biden's term Appearing with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins on Saturday's “This Week on Capitol Hill,” House Speaker Mike Johnson explained that the Democrats are using the Epstein files as a wedge issue. JOHNSON: “The Democrats have been engaging in a civil war. They're trying to determine if they're going to go full Marxism, like with [Zohran] Mamdani, their nominee for mayor of New York City, or if they're going to go Marxism Light with their woke progressive nonsense that they tried to hoist upon the people for the last four years. So, they found a wedge issue trying to manufacture some controversy with the so-called Epstein files. Here's the problem they have, Tony, with their hypocrisy. It's quite laughable. “Remember, the Biden Department of Justice had all of these files in their possession for the previous four years. Not one time did [House Minority Leader] Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) or Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), or Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), or any of the Democrats who made so much noise over the last two weeks, not one time in the last four years that they mention the word Epstein at all. It's nowhere in their social media and their interviews or anything. And now, suddenly, it's the most important thing in the world. “We're not buying it, and I'm not going to allow them to drag the Congress into this. “The House Republicans are 100 percent united and 100 percent consistent, as we have been for many years regarding this matter. We want full transparency, total disclosure of all credible evidence. We want to and we must protect the innocent victims of those unspeakable crimes, trafficking and all the rest that were involved there. But it needs to be done in the right way.” The audacity of the Democrats surprises even House Speaker Johnson. JOHNSON: “They're trying to claim that this is some sort of cover-up. Remember, each of them were involved in orchestrating what was the largest political cover-up and political scandal in the history of the United States. And that was covering up for the rapid mental decline of the previous occupant of the White House. When Joe Biden was no longer fit to serve, they went out and tried to convince us of the opposite -- very, very dangerous stuff. They need to answer for that, and there needs to be a lot of accountability all the way around. And House Republicans are the ones urging that and pushing it along with every tool in our arsenal.” American Academy of Pediatrics says Trisomy 13 and 18 are not 'uniformly lethal' The American Academy of Pediatrics has released new guidance stating that the genetic disorders Trisomy 13 and 18 are not "uniformly lethal" and the practice of promoting abortion and "postnatal comfort care" for all children with the conditions is outdated, reports The Christian Post. The guidance, published July 21, notes the "steady increase in medical and surgical interventions for infants and children with trisomy 13 and 18.” The medical organization described the conditions as "chromosomal syndromes associated with a range of congenital anomalies and universally severe neurodevelopmental impairment." The American Academy of Pediatrics noted that about 12.3 percent of those with Trisomy 18 survive beyond their fifth birthday and 9.7 percent of children with Trisomy 13 survive as well. U.S. divorce and out-of-wedlock births are becoming less common The Institute for Family Studies is reporting that after many decades of increasing divorce, nonmarital childbearing, and children living in broken homes, current statistics show that the trends are either leveling off or reversing, reports The Washington Stand. The group notes that the largest shift has become apparent with divorce. After reaching a peak in the late '70s and early '80s, “the divorce rate has been falling in recent decades,” currently hitting a 50-year low. Divorce is less likely because “marriage has become more selective, with more educated, affluent, and religious couples becoming more likely to put a ring on it than the general population.” The Institute for Family Studies further observed that according to the most recent projections, the risk of first marriages ending in divorce is now around 40 percent, a significant drop from couples who married in the '80s and '90s, of whom 50 percent experienced divorce. Malachi 2:16 says, God “hates divorce.” Another factor contributing to more intact families is that the amount of children being born to unmarried women has leveled off. Children born out of wedlock peaked in 2009 and has plateaued ever since, remaining at roughly 40 percent over the last 15 years. Transgender Lady Liberty stirs debate at Smithsonian And finally, Amy Sherald is a 51-year-old woke artist who became famous for depicting the Statue of Liberty as black and transgender, reports Christian talk show host Todd Starnes. She also created a rendition of the famous World War Two Times Square kiss featuring two homosexual black men. And Sherald earned national acclaim for painting the official portrait of former First Lady Michelle Obama. What an unusual combination – transgender statues, homosexual black men, and Michelle Obama. The National Portrait Gallery alerted the artist that they might remove her painting of “Transgender Lady Liberty” over fears it might anger President Donald Trump. Sherald accused the Smithsonian of censorship and pulled out of the exhibit.  The White House, which believed that the painting all but desecrated one of our most sacred symbols, celebrated the development as a step toward restoring sanity in the taxpayer-funded art world. Starnes concluded, “The only person censoring Sherald's exhibit is in fact Sherald. And Lady Liberty is meant to inspire national unity – not pronoun confusion.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, August 1st, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. It's Friday, July 11th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims gunned down pastor and Muslim convert to Christ During an evening worship service on Monday, July 7th, Islamic extremists gunned down a Baptist pastor and another worshipper and kidnapped a woman in Katsina State, northwest Nigeria, reports Morning Star News. About 15 to 20 gunmen with Fulani accents stormed Bege Baptist Church in Yaribori village, Kafur County, and shot the Rev. Emmanuel Auta and Gidan Taro, according to TruthNigeria. Church member Zakariya Jatau told Christian Daily International that the pastor was leading a worship service and Bible study when he was shot. He added, “Another member, a lady, was also kidnapped and taken away to an unknown place.” Congregation members said the slain Gidan Taro was a prominent convert from Islam, and that Pastor Auta had worked to reconcile the village's Muslim and Christian communities. Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints."  Mount Rainer is rattled by more than 300 earthquakes More than 300 earthquakes have erupted at Mount Rainier in Washington State this week, beginning on Tuesday, reports USA Today. It's the largest earthquake swarm at the volcano since 2009. The largest earthquake so far was recorded at a magnitude of 2.3 on the Richter Scale on Wednesday, July 9. The Cascades Volcano Observatory said scientists do not have any concerns about the earthquakes, However, the fear is that one of the most dangerous volcanos in the United States could be waking up. President Trump floats “amnesty for illegals” trial balloon On July 3rd, President Donald Trump announced he's working on mass amnesty for potentially millions of illegal aliens working in farm, hotel, and leisure businesses, reports InformationLiberation.com. He cited a comment made by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. TRUMP: “Brooke Rollins brought it up, and she said, ‘Uh. So, we have a little problem. The farmers are losing a lot of people.” That's when he proposed amnesty for illegals on the farms and in the hotel industry which he knows will alienate his base. TRUMP: “I got myself into a little trouble because I said, ‘I don't want to take people away from the farmers.'  We want all the criminals out. Everybody agrees. We're finding the criminals, the murderers, the drug dealers. “Some of the farmers, you know, they've had people working for them for years. We're going to, sort of, put the farmers in charge. If a farmer has been with one of these people that work so hard. They bend over all day. We don't have too many people can do that, and they know them very well. And some of the farmers are literally, you know, they cry. “If a farmer is willing to vouch for these people, in some way, [Homeland Security Secretary] Kristi [Noem], I think we're going to have to just say that's going to be good, right? Because we don't want to do it where we take all of the workers off the farms. We want the farms to do great, like they're doing right now. We're working on legislation right now. People that have hotels and leisure properties too “Serious, radical, right people, who I also happen to like a lot, they may not be quite as happy, but they'll understand, won't they? Do you think so?” Pediatrician suggested MAGA voters should die in Texas flood A Houston pediatrician has been fired over a vile post suggesting that the more than 119 killed in the horrific Texas floods — including dozens of kids from Camp Mystic — were President Trump supporters who got “what they voted for,” reports the New York Post. Dr. Christina Propst drew widespread scorn following the disparaging, since-deleted post under her old Facebook username, Chris Tina, according to Mediaite. In her now-deleted post, Dr. Probst wrote, “May all visitors, children, non-MAGA voters and pets be safe and dry. Kerr County MAGA voted to gut FEMA. They deny climate change. May they get what they voted for. Bless their hearts.” Ephesians 4:29 says, “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion.” The Facebook post quickly went viral after a screenshot was shared by Libs of TikTok. Propst's employer, Blue Fish Pediatrics, initially said they suspended her  — before announcing that “the individual is no longer employed” there. The company said, “We strongly condemn the comments that were made in that post. That post does not reflect the values, standards, or mission of Blue Fish Pediatrics.” Kerr County, home to around 50,000 people, overwhelmingly voted for President Trump in the November election, with more than 76% of the county's votes going to the Republican presidential candidate, according to county data. After she was fired, Dr. Probst issued an apology in which she said, “I understand my comment caused immense pain to those suffering indescribable grief and for that I am truly sorry.” The number of people missing from the floods has risen to 170, reports the San Antonio Express-News. New Superman movie is woke and anti-Trump And finally, … TV NARRATOR OF ADVENTURE OF SUPERMAN (TV SERIES): “Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings at a single bound.” MAN 1: “Look, up in the sky." MAN 2: "It's a bird." LADY: "It's a plane." MAN 3" "It's Superman." NARRATOR: “Yes, it's Superman, strange visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, Superman who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way.” Sadly, actor David Corenswet, who portrays the new Superman in the updated film debuting tonight on the silver screen nationwide told CBS News that he ditched the traditional “truth, justice and the American way” motto for something a bit more inclusive. This version of Superman will be about “truth, justice and all those good things.” One of those good things is certainly not honoring God since God's name is taken in vain nine separate times in the film. In addition, James Gunn, the writer-director of the new Superman has shoehorned his anti-Trump sub-plot into the film. He said, “Yes, Superman is an immigrant, and yes, the people that we support in this country are immigrants and if you don't like that, you're not American. We love our immigrants.” The film shows Superman being roughly treated when detained by the government and is told that, as an alien, he does not have human rights.  Christian talk show host Todd Starnes wrote, “Granted, but Superman is not an MS-13 gangbanger who's mooching off the American taxpayers. He spoke English and had a job – two jobs.” Besides, Starnes concluded, “MAGA supporters are not opposed to immigration. We celebrate those who want to come to this nation legally. We just have a problem with the drug cartels, human traffickers, and the terrorists who want to blow us to kingdom come. “It's not the first time that woke leftists have tried to destroy our beloved all-American superhero.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, July 11th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. Episode Summary In this heartfelt episode, we sit down with Gretchen Starnes, Family Aftercare Manager with Network for Hope (Louisville), an organization that also supports families after the loss of a loved one through organ donation. Gretchen shares the deeply human side of her work—walking with families through the grief process, offering comfort, connection, and compassion in the wake of profound loss. We explore how the gift of life through donation can bring a measure of hope to unimaginable sorrow, and how Gretchen and her team help families navigate that journey with care and grace. ✨ Episode Highlights Gretchen Starnes discusses her role as a Family Aftercare Manager at Network for Hope. She describes the Aftercare Department's mission to support donor families and ensure their needs are met with compassion and understanding. Gretchen shares her personal journey, beginning as a Family Support Worker and transitioning to Aftercare, highlighting the critical role of empathy in her work. She reflects on working with grief and the full spectrum of emotions that come with it, reminding us: “There's nothing wrong with you when you're grieving.” Andi asks Gretchen about the myths and misconceptions surrounding grief and bereavement support. Gretchen explains that support systems often fade after the first year of loss and shares her experience that, for many, the second year is even harder. The organization offers 15 months of ongoing support through mailings, in-person meetings, and online resources. Families find healing and comfort in sharing stories, memories, and legacies of their loved ones. Donor families play a vital role in encouraging and supporting newly bereaved families through direct connections. It's Friday, October 4th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Biden/Harris gave $68 million to Somalia despite support of Hamas On Tuesday, the U.S. government agreed to provide $68.5 million in aid to Somalia, a financially struggling Muslim-majority nation in Africa, despite the country's open support for Hamas and ongoing persecution of Christians, reports International Christian Concern. Indeed, Open Doors ranks Somalia as the second worst country worldwide for the persecution of Christians. In November 2023, Somalia Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre asserted in a public speech that Hamas isn't a terror organization but rather a group of freedom fighters. Barre also stated that Jews and Israelis are “children of pigs and monkeys.”  Barre said, “Hamas is an Islamic liberation movement. They are righteous … [We're] now being forced to accept that Hamas is a terrorist group. We'll never accept this.”  Truth be told, Hamas is a Muslim terrorist organization. Hamas has been resoundingly condemned on the world stage for slaughtering 1,200 innocent civilians in Israel on October 7, 2023, and labeled a terrorist organization by the United States.   Psalm 37:28 says, "For the LORD loves justice; he will not forsake His faithful ones." Kamala Harris offers $750 to Hurricane Helene victims Your life is worth about $750 – that's according to Vice President Kamala Harris. That's what she announced was available for people devastated by Hurricane Helene. HARRIS: “Federal relief and assistance that we have been providing has included FEMA providing $750 for folks who need immediate needs being met, such as food, baby formula, and the like. And you can apply now for anyone who is watching this, who has been affected.” Christian radio talk show host Todd Starnes said, “Their homes have been washed away. Road and bridges gone. Bodies buried in mud – stuck in trees. Children found wandering in the ruins of towns without any clothes. It is a modern-day apocalypse. The death toll stands at more than 200 and I'm being told by my law enforcement sources in North Carolina – the final number is going to be staggering.” Starnes added, “Be enraged, America. Be righteously enraged. Nearly one week later and the federal disaster response has been nothing short of treasonous.” Country music star John Rich tweeted, “Just spoke to a friend of mine in law enforcement in NC. He said that they have, and I quote: “Already used over 500 body bags, and there are bodies in trees, mud, cars, houses, everywhere. No Fed support whatsoever.” GOP Rep. Cory Mills of FL: “America needs to get its priorities straight!” Republican Congressman Cory Mills of Florida has been leading a massive civilian relief effort. He told Fox News that the response from the federal government has been irresponsible and inept. MILLS: “We'll focus and prioritize illegal criminal migrants, as well as for borders 9,000 miles away. I think America needs to get its priorities straight! “So, as of yesterday, on day three, we've distributed about 13,000 pounds of various supplies -- everything from Starlink systems to different locations are completely remote and cut off and isolated so that we can get our missing persons numbers down. Remember, a lot of people are saying, ‘Well, I haven't heard from my family members since the last text I received.' It's getting bad. And so that obviously allows us to be able to cut down the number of welfare checks that we're doing, as well as for search and rescue missions.” Congressman Mills talked about what they are distributing. MILLS: “We're distributing generators today, food supplies, and mostly medications. People are running short on insulin, on oxygen bottles. We've got helicopters that every single day we're loading with different materials, thanks to great organizations and charities like Mercury One. Thanks to organizations like Universal Air. We utilize the helicopters to be able to do remote pickup.” Congressman Mills of Florida described the rescue of one elderly man. MILLS: “We're also doing evacuations. You know, just the other day, there's an 83-year-old man that was his birthday, actually, who was suffering from signs of hypertension or cardiac arrest. This is a guy who has been having cancer treatments, and he had to be immediately medevacked from Bailey, North Carolina, where we picked him up, all the way over to Johnson City.” In light of the physical devastation and the growing number of fatalities, Congressman Mills expressed dismay with the federal government's response. MILLS: “We're hitting about three to four cities a day. Yesterday, we hit Pensacola, and talking to the fire chief there was very, very disheartening. He said they had four fatalities recently, two of which they knew that floated down the river they couldn't get to. He said that they'll be recovering bodies, unfortunately, throughout the end of the year. There's towns that are absolutely devastated. My question is, ‘Where's the federal government? Where's the rest of our elected officials?'” Homeland Secretary Mayorkas admits FEMA is broke Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says the Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA is broke. He warned that FEMA does not have enough funding for the hurricane season. Listen. MAYORKAS: “We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.” Biden-Harris siphoned $1 billion of FEMA money off to illegal aliens The questions is simple. Where did the money go? The answer is devastating! The Biden-Harris administration siphoned off more than one BILLION dollars of money meant for FEMA's emergency food and shelter program for Americans and gave it to illegal aliens. Talk show host Todd Starnes concluded, “Americans are on their own. It turns out that your tax dollars are basically funding an illegal immigration resettlement program. More than $1 billion dollars given to take care of the illegals – only $750 for American citizens. Illegals First. American taxpayers last. Are you outraged, America?” Tim Walz: "I've become friends with school shooters.” And finally, on Tuesday, during the Vice Presidential debate in New York City, CBS anchor Norah O'Donnell asked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz about his evolving position on guns. O'DONNELL: “You previously opposed an assault weapons ban, but only later in your political career did you change your position. Why?” WALZ: “Yeah, I sat in that office with those Sandy Hook parents. I've become friends with school shooters. I've seen it look the NRA. I was NRA guy for a long time. They used to teach gun safety. I'm of an age where my shotgun was in my car so I could pheasant hunt after football practice. That's not where we live today.” Clearly, Walz misspoke and meant to say he's become friends with the victims of school shooters. But that's not what he said. WALZ: “I've become friends with school shooters.” That's a gaffe that makes Joe Biden look like a Harvard law professor. Donald Trump posted this reaction to Walz's remark on Truth Social.  He wrote, “Second time he has said, ‘I've been friends with school shooters.' What does he mean by this? Is he insane?” The best explanation comes from something else Walz said in that Vice Presidential debate. WALZ: “I've tried to do the best I can, but I've not been perfect. I'm a knucklehead at times. Many times I will talk a lot. I will get caught up in the rhetoric.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, October 4th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. In 2007, Todd Starnes was working at Fox News and covering then-Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign. “I just felt like that was going to be the historic campaign, and it turned out to be,” says Starnes, a bestselling author and nationally syndicated radio host. The political climate facing America right now is in part due to the “residual after-effects of the Barack Obama presidency,” according to Starnes. The former Democratic senator from Illinois was president from 2009 to 2017.“First, Obama categorized all of the [2008 GOP opponent Sen.] John McCain supporters … [as] the folks that cling to their guns and their religion,” Starnes said. “He called them ‘bitter' Americans. He made those remarks in a speech in San Francisco. And then you had Hillary Clinton coming out and talking about the irredeemable ‘deplorables.'”Starnes says both Obama and Clinton “were trying to dehumanize their opponents, their political opponents.” Second, Starnes points to Obama's pledge to “fundamentally” transform America. In his new book, “Twilight's Last Gleaming: Can America Be Saved?” Starnes explains how America arrived at the political division it finds itself in right now, and just how much time he thinks the nation has to right its course before it's too late. The vote came out 52% to 48%. New Dutch law allows euthanizing kids under 12 A Dutch law allowing the euthanizing of children under 12 years of age went into effect on February 1st, reports Reuters. This allows for the killing of children who suffer “hopelessly and unbearably” as determined by doctors.  Previously, the Netherlands only allowed euthanasia for persons over 12 years of age. Former Brazilian president investigated for questioning 2022 election results While the leading Republican nominee for U.S. president, Donald Trump, faces 91 criminal charges — some related to his alleged opposition to the 2020 election results -- now Brazil's former president, Jair Bolsonaro, is being investigated for allegedly trying to overturn the results of his 2022 election.   Four of his aides have been arrested by the Lula de Silva government. 86% of Americans don't believe Biden is “fit to serve” An ABC/IPSOS poll found that 86% of Americans do not believe President Joe Biden is “fit to serve.”  That included 73% registered Democrats and 91% of the Independent voting base. This comes after a Special Counsel report described the current president as “an elderly man with a poor memory.” A recent Rasmussen poll found that 42% of likely U.S. voters respected Donald Trump as a leader, and only 21% would say the same thing for President Joe Biden. Donald Trump asked Supreme Court to affirm his immunity claim On Monday, Donald Trump asked the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on his argument that he has immunity from prosecution on any alleged actions he may have taken to overturn the 2020 election results. He asked the high court to put a hold on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruling that rejected his immunity claim, reports CNBC.  Gunman, pretending to be a woman, shot dead in Osteen's church On Sunday afternoon, a man, pretending to be a woman, entered Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas with a long gun before the 2:00pm service and began firing.   Born Jeffrey Escalante from El Salvador, he pulled out an AR-15 from his trench coat, pointed it at the officers, who then fired upon him, killing him in self-defense, and halting the attack, reports Fox News.  Escalante's 7-year-old son, whose age was initially described as 5, was seriously injured during the exchange of gunfire.  And a 57-year-old man, who was shot in the leg, is expected to survive.   Escalante, age 36, pretended to be a woman named Genesse Ivonne Moreno. He had a history of mental health problems and antisemitic inclinations. Perhaps that's why the word “Palestine” was written on the long rifle. Here's what Joel Osteen said in the news conference: OSTEEN: “These men and women did an amazing job. You said it Chief. It could have been a lot worse. Of course, we're devastated. I mean, this is, we've been here 65 years and have someone shooting in your church. But, you know, we don't understand why these things happen. But we know God is in control.  And we'll pray for that little five-year-old boy and pray for the lady that was deceased.” Christian talk host Todd Starnes wants LGBT movement investigated Christian talk show host Todd Starnes described the shooting as a domestic terrorist attack perpetuated by a member of the LGBT community. Indeed, there have been a dozen such attacks. Transgender people were the shooters at Covenant Christian School in Nashville, at a Denver school, and at an Iowan school.  Plus, the Colorado Springs shooter claimed to be non-binary. Starnes said, “It's time for federal investigations about why the LGBT movement is turning young people into violent extremists.” Kansas City Chiefs win Superbowl The Kansas City Chiefs clinched their third Super Bowl win in five years in Sunday's game with a score of 25 to 22. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes joins the club of five quarterbacks winning three or more Super Bowls.  New England Patriot Quarterback Tom Brady leads the pack with 7 Super Bowl wins to his name. But let us remember what Jesus said, “I do not receive honor from men. ... How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?” (John 5:44) The controversial “Jesus Gets Us” Super Bowl ad Speaking of the Super Bowl, the PR campaign for Jesus, better known as the HeGetsUs ad campaign, aired another ad on the Super Bowl broadcast this year. The campaign offered a confusing Christian message relating to love, God's law, abortion, and homosexuality.
