Featuring Dawson Knox, Tyler Kroft, Lee Smith and Reggie Gilliam, Buffalo's tight ends ranked 31st in the NFL in both receiving yards (458) and receptions (42), a fact made slightly easier to swallow considering the strength of Buffalo's wide receivers on a potent offense that finished third in the league in passing yards (4,786) and passing first downs (240); tied for third in passing TDs (40); and fourth in pass plays of at least 20 yards (66). Still, general manager Brandon Beane made a point to call out the lack of productivity from the tight ends in 2020 as something the team wants to address moving forward. So what do the Bills have at tight end? Knox, who missed the first four games due to a foot injury and a COVID-19 diagnosis, is raw and athletic, someone who still has issues with the drops while being a slightly above average blocker. As Buffalo's No. 1 tight end, Knox had 24 receptions for 288 yards and three touchdowns. The Buffalo Bills (7-2) look to make another statement when they travel to face the Arizona Cardinals (5-3) on Sunday, and on the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D’Amico have everything you need to know for the Week 10 clash. The Bills will have to take on Kyler Murray and the high-flying Cardinals without four key contributors after cornerback Josh Norman tested positive for COVID-19 Saturday afternoon Norman was the only Bill to test positive, though three players were deemed to be close contacts and, therefore, were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list in cornerback Levi Wallace, tight end Tyler Kroft and safety Dean Marlowe. After discussing this breaking news and offering up our thoughts on how this will impact the Week 10 showdown with the Cardinals, Boccacino and D'Amico turned to how the Bills will try and contain Murray, Arizona's second-year quarterback who is a dangerous threat with his legs and his arm. Murray, who ranks eighth in the NFL in rushing yards (543) while averaging 7.1 yards per rush, loves to scramble and gain yards on designed runs, and like they did last week vs. Russell Wilson, Buffalo's front four will once again need to win their one-on-one matchups while not over-pursuing when trying to tackle Murray. Linebacker A.J. Klein will need to duplicate his career game from last week, while Tremaine Edmunds might split reps at middle and outside linebacker to confuse Murray. The Buffalo Bills (3-0) make their first West Coast trip of the 2020 season on Sunday, traveling to Sin City for a Week 4 showdown vs. the Las Vegas Raiders (2-1). On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D’Amico have everything you need to get ready for the Bills first-ever trip to Vegas. After offering up rapid reactions to Buffalo's thrilling 35-32 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3, Boccacino and D'Amico size up the Raiders offense, which relies heavily on talented running back Josh Jacobs. The Bills will have a daunting task trying to slow down Jacobs, especially with the issues Buffalo has had stopping the run this year. Quarterback Derek Carr has one of the quickest releases in the game, tight end Darren Waller is a matchup nightmare, and the onus will be on the defensive linemen, led by Jerry Hughes, Ed Oliver, Mario Addison, Quinton Jefferson, Trent Murphy and Vernon Butler, to apply pressure up the middle. Unlike last week's opponent, the Raiders don't have as strong of an offensive line, which should create opportunities to get pressure on Carr. With a focus on checking down to his receivers, tight ends and running backs, the Bills should look to confuse Carr with coverage zone blitzes while clogging his passing lanes. Offensively, both D'Amico and Boccacino expect reigning AFC Offensive Player of the Month Josh Allen to continue his upward trajectory while leading the Bills high-flying (31 points per game) offense. While much has been made of Stefon Diggs, John Brown and Cole Beasley's contributions to the receiving game, our podcasters expect big performances from rookie Gabriel Davis and tight ends Tyler Kroft and Dawson Knox vs. the Raiders. As good as the passing game has been, Boccacino and D'Amico are looking for a huge game from running back Devin Singletary, who should record his first 100-yard effort this year against a susceptible Raiders' defense. We close by offering up our score predictions as the Bills look to improve to 4-0 for the ninth time in franchise history, and first time since the 2008 season.
