I read a book several years ago titled "The Myth of Excellence" written by Fred Crawford and Ryan Mathews. At that time, I was struggling during a difficult period in the car business and was trying to figure out how I could change my business plan to differentiate it from my competitors. Everyone advertised "price, price, price" and the customers just weren't responding. This book opened my eyes to perspectives and possibilities that I had never considered...that I didn't have to compete just on price. Yes....I had to offer competitive pricing, but I could also focus on other things that my potential customers could relate to and appreciate. I could give them other reasons to choose me!In this episode, I want to encourage all business owners to make a decision....When you look at the attributes of Price, Product, Service, Access and Experience, which one is your most important business attribute? Which one is second?....and while all of them matter, which ones could you afford to be at least better than average at?....Because the truth is, you can't (and don't need to) be great at everything.Lennie Lawson...businessman (and Car Guru)
In today's interview I have Ryan Mathews on. Ryan is a 20 year old online entrepreneur who has his own coaching business, where he teaches every day people to start their own ecommerce business as well as existing ecommerce business owners on how to scale. Ryan joined us in Reality Mastery back in September 2020, when he was struggling with an extreme lack of clarity around his purpose in life. This led to him feeling stuck, even though the business was generating $60k/m, Ryan couldn't even muster up the will power to complete simple tasks. Until he finally decided that he'd had enough. That's when he took the leap and joined us in the journey to internal mastery. What happened within 9 months was nothing short of extraordinary. Ryan is now on track to having a multi million dollar business that he truly enjoys. Here's what we discuss: - Ryan's biggest limiting belief & how this caused a cognitive dissonance - The battle between the 2 selves & how he overcame it - The biggest lesson both Ryan & I have learned from our mentor - Feeling guilty for not working hard & how to overcome it - Massive action vs smart action - The biggest key to overcoming procrastination - Upgrading the character & achieving alignment in your intentions - Getting attached to the fruits of your labor & failure - How to get crystal clear on your vision - The biggest secret to overcoming limiting beliefs & how Ryan did it - Playing not to lose vs playing to win Hope this was helpful! Our guest for this episode of Straight Outta Combat radio (Audi-Medicine by GreenZone Hero) is US Army veteran and serious dog-training expert and sage, Mr. Ryan Matthews. I actually met Ryan a few weeks ago at the Podfest Multimedia Expo in Orlando. We were on the same discussion panel…and let me tell you, Ryan has a serious positive mojo going on. Ryan has been training dogs since 2002. He began his career in dog training with training and handling elite Military Workins Dogs (a.k.a. MWDs). While in the Army, he performed bite protection training, bomb threat sweeps, secret service missions, and combat deployment to Iraq (with his MWD, Zito) where he worked with Special Forces and Infantry units. After transitioning, Ryan Founded and is the Head Dog Trainer of the ‘World of Dog Training’. Ryan takes a personalized approach with every sing dog he trains. He’s all heart and then some. He’s working on projects to incorporate some of his canine-training techniques into the corporate human world.
Ryan Matthews is an inspirational speaker, best selling author and decorated veteran who trained elite Army K-9s and then became a civilian dog-trainer using his proven formula (RCTR) to train over 3,000 dogs. He earned almost $1,000,000 in 2½ years. Ryan is passionate about bridging the gap of communication between dogs and their owners. He does with World Of Dog Training (online dog training videos) and Peace Of Mind CBD, a natural health option for dogs with pain, illnesses and behavioral issues. Despite Ryan’s overwhelming success building a dog-training empire, he felt like a failure. As a self-professed workaholic, Ryan put all his energy and focus into his work rather than into himself. After years battling childhood trauma and combat PTSD, the result was multiple life-threatening diagnoses and 5 near-death experiences.Through self-discovery, Ryan has transformed his life and has made it his mission to share his gifts and talents to positively transform the lives of others. Author of The Canine Connection and The Art of Dog Training, Ryan is an inspirational speaker who talks about PTSD and transformation. His TEDx talk is called “Overcoming PTSD with Dog Training Techniques.” Ryan developed an eLearning platform with over 100 online lessons for dog owners to continue their learning on demand 24/7. He also has an upcoming book on his story of 5 near-death experiences and the transformation after a life filled with trauma. There is no better title for his journey other than “Survivor To Thrive!” For more information visit www.

The Seattle Seahawks host the Philadelphia Eagles on a rainy Sunday evening, and it does not turn out well for our boys in midnight green and silver. The Birds drop the game 26-15. We use the term “drop” because that is what the main highlight of the Eagles game and season has been… DROPS! The main scapegoat of the Seahawks loss this week was Nelson Agholor, who dropped a few passes, and also committed a bad penalty that negated a huge reception for a touchdown by Zach Ertz. That score would have given the Eagles a 1-point lead, but instead, they had to punt, and was the catalyst in the eventual demise by the Eagles. Very frustrating all around, when you are playing one of the best teams in the league, in their home. The Eagles hung with them from a distance, and there was a feeling for most of the game that there was still a shot, but Seattle did what they needed to do to keep the Eagles down. In the process, both Darren Sproles, Ryan Mathews, Connor Barwin, and Leodis McKelvin were injured, and Vaitai (Lane Johnson’s backup) is likely out several weeks. Scary times for the Eagles. This coming week the Eagles are back home at Lincoln Financial Field, and host the Green Bay Packers and an always-dangerous Aaron Rodgers. A lot of this game will be who on the Eagles are healthy enough to play, in addition to what Offensive scheme Doug Pederson can come up with to pump up a deflated Eagle Offense. To all of our listeners celebrating the holiday, have a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are extremely thankful for all of you that have been listening, writing, and calling in over these past nine years. We do this for you every week, so thank you. Fly Eagles Fly — How to Support EFC Get our Android App now! The iOS and Windows apps will be back in their respective app stores in a few more days. The Philadelphia Eagles win in an exciting home game against the Atlanta Falcons, 24-15. This is the fourth home win this season, where the Birds are undefeated. This week the Eagles fans were crazy loud, and unbelievably quiet when the Eagles Offense was on the field. Such an amazing and smart fan base. Love it. The Eagles run game was on fire this week, and Ryan Mathews was the star of that game, with 109 yards on the ground with two touchdowns. Overall the Eagles runners were all in play as it helped the Eagles struggling receivers, and Carson Wentz, in a huge way. It was an excellent game plan, and executed in a great way against a very good Falcons Defense. Speaking of Defense, the Eagles D did an excellent job keeping a Falcons Offense with plenty of weapons for QB Matt Ryan both off the field and out of the end zone, allowing just the one Falcons TD. This was yet another positive thing for our rookie QB, as he was able to help overcome a fourth quarter deficit and come back and win the game. Exciting and fun game all around, and just another positive that makes us look forward to the future of this team. This coming week the Eagles travel to Seattle to take on one of the best teams in the league in a very hostile road game. On paper, the Eagles seem to have little shot in this one, but we have seen some very exciting, and surprising things from this team this season. Any given Sunday is the saying, right? Surely this will be another exciting game for Eagles fans. — How to Support EFC Get our Android App now! The iOS and Windows apps will be back in their respective app stores in a few short days. John Halpin previews all the Week 7 games with Holden Kushner (TuneIn). Players include: Knile Davis, Ty Montgomery, Don Jackson, Eddie Lacy, Alshon Jeffery, Cameron Meredith, Kenny Britt, Jeremy Hill, Gio Bernard, Isaiah Crowell, Duke Johnson, Golden Tate, Amari Cooper, Derek Carr, Blake Bortles, Spencer Ware, Jamaal Charles, Jay Ajayi, Arian Foster, Mike Gillislee, Jack Doyle, Tyrell Williams, Travis Benjamin, Colin Kaepernick, Julian Edelman, Christine Michael, Doug Baldwin, Mike Wallace, Ryan Mathews, DeAndre Hopkins.
The crew of Michael Moore, Brandon Marianne Lee and Dan Schneier are back to discuss Colin Kaepernick, running backs returning from injury like Jonathan Stewart and then play This or That where they debate whether to start players such as Carson Palmer, Ryan Mathews, Jeremy Maclin and more.
The first loss of the season comes at the hands of the Detroit Lions, a Ryan Mathews fumble, a Carson Wentz interception (his first of the year), a flat Eagles Defense to start the game, and poor officiating. With all of that listed, we are not especially bummed about this loss. Disappointed, yes, but the loss does not taste that bad. The Eagles went in the hole quickly in the first quarter by two touchdowns, but adjusted, dug in, and came back and eventually took the lead in the fourth quarter. This was a huge test for both the rookie quarterback, and rookie head coach Doug Pederson, as they showed they could lead the Birds back. This is a positive thing moving forward as the Eagles have their first divisional game against the Washington Redskins this next week on the road, and then the games get much more challenging moving forward from there. This game was one they could have won. They didn’t. But it was yet another learning experience in a long road that us Eagles fans hope will lead us back to the playoffs again, if not this year, then next. Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson’s 10-game suspension was upheld today, for PED use. It is not surprising, but it is a big loss, and will make the Eagles protection of both Wentz and the running game that much more tough in the weeks ahead. — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care: NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — Call the Wentzylvania Suburbs: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App
