See if you can guess how many wide receivers the Colts have on their roster. Trayce Jackson-Davis worked out today for the Indiana Pacers, and TJD nailed it when he told media that to succeed in the NBA he needs to get on the floor and scrap! Indiana State Baseball going to the Super Regional! Many Gannett journalists are striking, but that is a bit like trying to build a boat after the flood. Learn more about your ad choices. Breshad exhibited a rare blend of speed, size, and athleticism which propelled him into the 1st round of the NFL draft, and further cemented his success as a professional football player. During his 7 year career, he has also been a member of the Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, and Chicago Bears. One of his major accomplishments was working with Tom Brady, and he quickly became one of Tom's favorite targets and was the recipient of Tom Brady's 700th career touchdown pass. Breshad also established the “Breshad Perriman Foundation” to offer support, resources, and education to families affected by stroke and dementia. *Recorded on 04/14/2023 *CORRECTION: Breshad was born in Detroit Michigan, but raised in Miami FL

The Buccaneer will face their first regular season opponent this week when they travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys. The Cowboys are a slightly weaker team than the one the Bucs faced in the 2021 season opener, having lost LT Tyron Smith to a devastating hamstring injury. Rookie OT Tyler Smith will start in his stead. In addition, the team released RT La'el Collins this offseason, opting instead for Terence Steele. The team felt Steele won the job. Collins' $10M cap hit didn't help his cause, to be sure. In addition, the Cowboys have lost stud receivers Amari Cooper to a trade with the Browns, and Michael Gallup to an ACL injury that required surgery. Gallup will return this season but is not expected to see the season opener. CeeDee Lamb remains from the elite trio the Bucs faced last year. The Buccaneers finalized their roster earlier this week. Surprisingly WR Tyler Johnson did not make the cut. Head coach Todd Bowles said receivers Breshad Perriman and Scotty Miller beat him out for a roster spot because of their versatility on special teams. Johnson was signed by the Texans. Bucs traded LB Grant Stuard to the Colts, who have said his special teams prowess is a reason they signed him. The tabloids are reporting there's trouble in the Brady home, with Gisele being upset at Tom's unretirement. Mrs. Brady reportedly stormed out of the home and is with family in Costa Rica, leaving Tom with the kids. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/support

This free agency period is bananas. The Buccaneers re-sign stud C Ryan Jensen. They bring in Shaq Mason in a trade with the Patriots (an absolute steal, btw). The Bucs sign S Logan Ryan, a Tom Brady guy. They also bring in Russell Gage with a phone call from Tom. Breshad Perriman is back. Chris Godwin is now under contract. Shaq Barrett and Mike Evans restructure their contracts to give us some wiggle room, and Cam Brate takes a paycut. We did lose several guys. S Jordan Whitehead went to the Jets for $7 million a year (a two-year deal). The Bills snagged TE OJ Howard on a one-year prove-it deal. G Alex Cappa, of course, went to Cincinnati the first day of free agency. The Buccaneers have some notable holes to fill and free agents still unsigned. The most pressing will be Ndamukong Suh and Will Gholston on the defensive line. The running back room is also an area of concern. Leonard Fournette indicates he wants to get paid, and as we know, Bruce Arians does not like to pay running backs. However, it seems like Ezekiel Elliot contracts are going the way of the do-do bird, so the market may not meet Lenny's expectations. The tight end room is also empty, with only Brate and Codey McElroy under contract, but Gronk is expected to return. A fourth tight end will likely be signed before the season begins. Deshaun Watson signed a monster contract with the Browns in a moved that shocked the NFL world. The Browns were out per media reports. Watson was meeting with the Saints and Falcons, who seemed like the final contenders. The Browns swooped in with a record breaking fully guaranteed contract and draft picks galore that the Texans and Watson couldn't refuse. The remainder of the NFC South now has to grapple with quarterback drama for the near future (lol). --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/support

Locked On Bucs – Daily Podcast On The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans
James Yarcho and Chris Russell join forces this week to preview the Buccaneers and the Washington Football Team ahead of their week ten matchup on this Crossover Thursday episode! Both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Football Team are coming out of their bye week and preparing for a rematch of the 2020 NFC Wild Card game where the Bucs emerged victorious on their way to winning Super Bowl LV. This time around, things tend to be pointing towards the Buccaneers as well. The Washington Football Team has struggled on the defensive side of the ball, ranking dead last in the NFL against the pass while giving up almost 29 points per game, which ranks 29th. For the Bucs, it's all about the injuries. Even though Sean Murphy-Bunting and Scotty Miller have returned to practice, that doesn't mean that they'll play this week. All the while Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski seem unlikely to see any action this week. In Brown's case, it could be a while longer before he sets foot on the field, sparking the return of wide receiver Breshad Perriman to the Tampa Bay practice squad. The Bucs are heavy favorites in this one, coming into week ten at -10 according to BetOnline while the Over/Under sits at 51.5. The oddsmakers are expecting a lot of scoring in this - and who could blame them? However, can the Bucs continue to overcome injuries and penalty problems or did a week off after the loss to the New Orleans Saints cause more harm than good?Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Bucs Podcast on these platforms…Apple: https://apple.co/3iOePFkSpotify: https://spoti.fi/3BwlScYAudacy: https://bit.ly/3FAcIhVGoogle: https://bit.ly/2X0IEdSMegaphone: https://bit.ly/3uZOcSoFollow Locked On Podcast Network on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LockedOnNetworkCheck out all of our NFL Coverage: linktr.ee/lockedonnflFollow James on Twitter: https://twitter.com/JYarcho_BUCSFollow David on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DHarrison82Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Also, is Cole Kmet still a fantasy sleeper? And is Fields still a smart bet for Offensive Rookie of the Year? If your question went unanswered, feel free to resend it for the next mailbag podcast. On our show we look at what realistic expectations for Breshad Perriman should be in his first season with the Jets, the extent to which Sam Darnold might benefit from having an experienced backup like Joe Flacco as a mentor, the extent to which Adam Gase is capable of adapting his system to fit the talent his team has, whether Jamal Adams has any choice but to play out his contract for the Jets, whether Gase will keep his job if the Jets have another 7-9 season, and which Jet would be most likely to have the ability to play on both sides of the ball. On the same day Robby Anderson and Breshad Perriman signed big-money deals for 2020, the Packers signed ex-Panthers starter Devin Funchess to what is expected to be a bargain contract. Not only does this fit with Brian Gutekunst's theme this offseason, Funchess walks onto the team as at least the third-best receiver, if not second-best, and bolsters a group in need of some help.
