America UnCanceled: CPAC Joins the International Summit to End Human Trafficking
Investigative journalist and Substack author Julie Kelly brings her perspective on the indictments of President Donald Trump and the January 6th trials to this episode of America Uncanceled with Matt and Mercedes Schlapp. More innocent individuals are being dragged into nightmarish and unfair court cases as the indictments against President Trump pile up and the January 6th trials continue with a new crop of cases. The FBI is showing their hand with their deliberate and weekly round ups of people guilty of minimal charges or no crime at all. The courts pick up where the FBI leaves off by applying excessive sentences for low-level misdemeanors, rejecting defendants' requests for a jury of peers, and by trying crimes not belonging to that level of court. Kelly believes the American public is waking up the reality of the events of January 6th and the double standard of subsequent witch hunts. “People are starting to question, ‘Wait, maybe what I saw on my TV that afternoon wasn't really what happened.' And thankfully, people are being more open-minded not just about what actually happened, questioning the role of government agencies. You know, where's the pipe bomber? Or Why was the intelligence not shared? Why was say, for example, Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund, his request for National Guard days beforehand even that afternoon, thwarted by Nancy Pelosi's Capitol Police Board? So, people are starting to be more open-minded,” Because of the public awareness of these trials and very serious implications of the FBI's prosecution rampage, Kelly sees this becoming a major issue and should be at the forefront of the 2024 election. CPAC board member and national security expert Gordon Chang discusses the increasing threats from Russia and China with Matt Schlapp on America Uncanceled. Chang's message largely warns of impending war involving Russia, China, and the United States. The circumstances are building up for a catastrophic, worldwide conflict as the war in Ukraine drags on, the Biden administration remains passive and confused on foreign policy and national security, and China makes military advances on Taiwan and Second Thomas Shoal. All of these aspects combined are creating what Gordon is calling “the most dangerous moment in history.” “We're at a very dangerous point right now because there could be war in East Asia at any moment,” Chang says “China thinks it's at war with us. The Biden administration thinks it's at peace. So, therefore, its not filling, for instance, the strategic petroleum preserves. The Chinese see this and believe that they've got an historic opportunity to move against the free world.” The United States' position in the event of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan remains unclear due to the mixed signals by President Biden himself and his staffers. Beijing is watching the United States and ready to take advantage of the obvious disarray in the American government to engage in military conquest. The difficult economic situation in China right now is additional incentive for President Xi Jinping to engage in war to assert his authority, unite the Chinese people, and distract from the economic struggles. As young people increasingly suffer from depression, anxiety, and feelings of isolation and as the opposition to people of faith grows, the influence of faith becomes all that more important. Hofman understood this firsthand. After a traumatic experience and after experiencing feelings of depression and isolation during the pandemic, she started a small discussion group for Christian women, and when the monkeypox scare threatened to shut down here group, she became more determined than ever to maintain the community she had created of fellow Christians. On the heightened importance of faith right now, Hofman says, “These are dark times. These are hard times. I don't what hope there could be if its not our hope in the Lord that the Lord enables us to make a difference and goes before us.” Hofman's book is meant to present the stories of brave women in the Bible, such as that of the midwives in Egypt as told in Exodus, as inspiration for women today to holdfast to their faith in the midst of trials and tribulations. “We know that what we believe is the right decision, and these forces around us are telling us to go against our values. So, observing how they stand up for what's right and how God opens amazing doors and blesses them is an encouragement to women of faith today,” Hofman explains. She encourages Christian women today to find the women in the Bible a source of inspiration to be a positive force in their families and workplaces. On this episode of America Uncanceled, Stephanie Elad shares story of her fight for education reform with Mercedes Schlapp. Elad's story begins simply as a concerned parent who initially voiced her disappointment at prolonged mask mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic. There's a star-studded red carpet on this episode of America Uncanceled as CPAC participates in the premiere of Sound of Freedom movie by Angel Studios. The event was also a kick-off for the CPAC Center for Combatting Human Trafficking that will use the CPAC rating system to hold legislator's accountable in the fight against human trafficking. The movie, Sound of Freedom, tells the story of a federal agent who, touched by the atrocities of human trafficking, embarks on a mission to rescue child victims of the horrible system. It reveals the dark details of the crime of human trafficking in a compelling story. Director Alejandro Gómez Monteverde describes the movie as a call to action and awareness, “I like to make movies that begin when the movie ends.” He added, “Creating awareness is the number one step.” For producer Eduardo Verástegui, the movie was personal for him. His home country Mexico is one of the most involved countries in human trafficking, and when making the movie he imagined how he would feel if his own son was stripped from him. He realized he would want everything possible to be done to rescue him. With this movie, he calling everyone to preventive action, “Don't wait for this tragedy to come to your house to wake up. Wake up now and prevent other parents from missing their children because God's children are not for sale, and that's my motivation. I hope this film will touch millions of hearts, and I hope when they leave here, they will ask themselves, ‘What can I do to end this terrible reality?'” The makers of the movie, Angel Studios, is reliant on donations to make inspirational and meaningful movies that go against the grain of Hollywood. On this episode of America Uncanceled, Matt Schlapp talks with President of Media Research Center L. Brent Bozell III about the Department of Homeland Security targeting of conservative and Christian organizations. Media Research Center investigated DHS grants to several public organizations through the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Program. MRC heard from one recipient, the University of Dayton, that the institution received federal funding to support a seminar that educated on the danger of conservative groups. One graphic used in the seminar organized groups into a pyramid of extremity. The pyramid linked organizations like CPAC, MRC, PragerU, FOX News, The Heritage Foundation, Christian Broadcasting, and more with Nazi and far-right terrorist groups. “I've asked lawyers, ‘Is there possible criminal activity here?', and there absolutely is,” Bozell said. “It's criminal for the government to prevent you from having freedom of speech. That's precisely what's happening.” The program is clearly another instance of the weaponization of the federal government to violate the free speech of certain individuals. Bozell urges conservatives to reach out to take action against this by reaching out to their representatives. He demands that the Republican leadership listen to their concerned constituent and do everything they can to bring about justice and end to the weaponization of government. On this episode of America Uncanceled, Matt Schlapp gives his take on Target's new pride collection in anticipation of pride month in June. The collection features a Satanic designer, transgender clothing and products geared toward children, and a display advertising the products at the front entrance of the store. Target's new product collection is another gross example of the woke nature of corporations and well-known brands. “I think there's been nothing more appalling than seeing Target aiming and pushing this whole idea of transgenderism and gender confusion on our kids to the point where the kid's sections at Target don't just have stuffed animals and puzzles and toys for your kids but they actually have apparel for kids that want to transition from one gender to the other,” Schlapp stated. “It was particularly alarming the other day to learn that a Satanist has been involved in designing a whole product line at Target.” CPAC is sending a letter to the Target CEO, in response, calling for the company to reform itself and reevaluate its approach to selling products to children and families. Schlapp calls for conservatives to boycott Target in the mean time and instead, shop small stores that align with our values. Target is joining the list of companies, including Nike and Bud Light, that conservatives are calling out for their extreme woke policies. CPAC board member and former Deputy National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland joins Matt Schlapp on this episode of America Uncanceled to address the Durham report and its revelations of election interference. On May 12, Special Counsel John Durham, published a report compiling instances of election interference from the Obama administration and the intelligence community. The report indicates that the Obama administration, including Joe Biden, coordinated with the FBI to surveil and spread misinformation about Donald Trump in the 2016 election. Further, evidence has been brought to light that the CIA deliberately ignored and actively covered up Hunter Biden's unethical dealings for the 2020 election. “It's right, plain in your face. The bureaucrats, particularly the intelligence community, its a coup, and they've taken charge, and they don't really care what you think about it,” McFarland remarks. She warns that now the bureaucrats in the deep state will double down on their actions to protect themselves from prosecution should a new administration and new Attorney General assume office in 2024. Having been wrongly accused herself and her savings drained in drawn-out legal battles all to implicate President Trump in manufactured crimes, McFarland hopes the individuals behind this corruption are held to justice and the corruption is put to end. Senior writer at Townhall Julio Rosas joins Matt Schlapp on this episode of America Uncanceled to explain his testimony in House of Representative hearings on leftist violence. Rosas was called upon to testify before the House Hearing on Left-Wing Violence for his reporting on the frontlines of Antifa riots. In his testimony, Rosas asserted that, based on his numerous firsthand observations, Antifa is a structured and coordinated organization. “The reason why I was brought as a witness was to talk about the organized structure of Antifa and its cells, what they do, how they communicate, how they carry out their attacks because riots are inherently chaotic and disorderly, that's kind of a hallmark of it, but there can be some structure to it in terms of it being planned ahead and instigating it, and that's exactly what we saw in many places across the country,” Rosas reports. Democrat Representative Daniel Goldman belittled Rosas' testimony and his occupation as a journalist for reporting findings contrary to those of the FBI director in stating that Antifa is an organized, violent, and very real movement. Goldman's dismissive attitude toward Antifa encapsulates the Left's entire approach, which has consisted in repeated denial of the violent reality of the radical organization that is responsible for many, if not most, of the riots Americans have witnessed in recent years. Rosas remains undeterred but rather more determined in exposing the truth about Antifa with his new book, Fiery (But Mostly Peaceful), that documents the riots of 2020 and the mainstream media coverage, or lack thereof, of the violent events of that year.

On this episode of America Uncanceled, Texas Representative Roger Williams talks border security with Mercedes Schlapp. The border is bombarded with illegal immigrants, Russians and Chinese, and drug and human trafficking cartels. Williams knows this firsthand as a Texan. For the sake of the people of Texas, and all Americans, he asks with the Biden administration to reconsider their open border policies and the expiration of Title 42 on Thursday. “It was a Trump policy that worked, dealt with asylum, dealt with health issues and so forth. So, it's pretty much a disaster. I'd like to see President Biden sleep on it a little bit and retract what he's going to do,” Williams said. The border needs attention as the humanitarian crisis there grows, and grows so that the dangers are no longer confined to the migrants or the physical border but are affecting the entire United States with the fentanyl epidemic and human trafficking coming across the border into every single state. William laments the Biden administration's inaction on these issues and its promise to veto House legislation, Secure the Border Act, that would end the catch and release program and bring more troops to the border. Williams also expresses his frustration with the Biden administration's other policies on green energy initiatives, which are eliminating competition and forcing ineffective products on the market. He looks to the 2024 presidential election with hope that Americans will see the stark contrast between the prosperity of the Trump administration and the incompetency of the Biden administration. The term “cancel culture” is often used today. Someone who says or does something another group does not like is “canceled,” ignored or disregarded. While our society has become pretty good at canceling people, we are not so skilled at welcoming into the community. In the book of Leviticus, we learn how a person was determined to be clean or unclean. The purpose again was to protect the holiness of the camp and the tabernacle. Some types of uncleanness were severe enough that people were required to live outside the camp (13:46). However, the laws did not leave those people without hope. There were also instructions on reintegrating people into the community (vv. 1–7). This ceremony had four elements: two birds, cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and hyssop (v. 4). The significance of this ceremony is not given and is a bit obscure to us today. However, the result is clear enough. After going through the ceremony, the whole community would know that this person was now considered clean. They would now be integrated back into the camp and could join in corporate worship. If you read further in chapter 15, you will see laws regarding bodily discharges for men and women. These occur in the regular course of life and could be handled without going to a priest. For these situations, people had to trust each other that they would not defile the sanctuary by entering it when they were not ceremonially clean. As believers, we have permanent access to worshiping God at any time because of the finished work of Christ (Heb. 13:12). God provided a temporary way for this to be accomplished in ancient Israel that pointed forward to Jesus who “suffered outside the gate” on our behalf! >> How and when can we welcome back those who have been “outside the camp” of our Christian community? This is a topic worthy of prayer and discussion as individuals and as a church body.
