Wynford Dore is an entrepreneur that has disrupted several industries with his innovative approach to research. 20 years ago, Susie. his daughter, who had struggled badly in school, became depressed…. and attempted to take her own life. Mercifully she lived…. but it changed his life completely - he sold his companies to focus on education and “how we learn”. As part of this quest he founded an examination board “Education Development International plc” which operated in over 50 countries and sold that to the world's largest education publisher - Pearson International plc in 2011. He bought a famous private school in Leamington Spa to investigate how education practices could be enhanced to suit each child's individual needs. But most of his time is spent researching how the brain learns - and how to naturally increase our mental capacity. Working closely with neuroscientists he has discovered that recent breakthroughs show how it is now possible to change how his daughter's brain was working…. And that by stimulating it with carefully chosen exercises brain plasticity can be increased - and so press the brain's “reset button”. This process is now used to transform anxiety, solve attention issues, accelerate learning - and even overcome challenges like poor reading skills. His book “Stop Struggling in School” quickly became a best seller - and now, he's helped many 10's of 1000's of adults and children. Susie is mercifully alive, but he continues to work closely with researchers with the belief that these powerful tools will soon reach the millions of people still struggling….whose lives could be transformed. Wynford's 3 mindset messages:  The generally held belief that we have to "put up with" whatever mental capacity we were born with is a myth. We CAN and SHOULD increase our mental capacity to the max so we A) perform at our best and B) feel "on top" of whatever life throws at us. Neuroplasticity can be enhanced at any age - which means that we can make important changes in our mental state and our cognitive faculties when we want. This takes away our limitations in a lasting, life changing way. Neuroscience explains many important things - including (for instance) why mindfulness, meditation and gratitude really change the brain. It also shows exciting things like.... why fun and contentment create totally different chemicals in the brain, some of which are addictive - and some that block the creation of the "contentment chemical". Very few realise this - and discovering it is life changing. The Food Wynford wanted a combination of meat and veg and whilst it sounds simple, I wanted him to have an explosion of flavours in his mouth.  So after a bit of research, I decided to make one of my favourite Japanese flavoured beef, rice and greens bowl. I love making various bowls, they are so nutritious and you can use variety of ingredients.  Wynford has really enjoyed the steak, and I was very pleased with how it turned out!      Visit www.mindsetkitchen.co.uk to find out more.

So today we go into some science…..As some of you will be aware I have been using an amazing app Zing Performance which is an app created to train your brain and in particular our cerebellum. The cerebellum is our skill centre and it came to my awareness through my favourite ADHD book by Dr Ned Hallowell ( ADHD 2.0) that an ADHD brain has an underdeveloped cerebellum which means our thinking brain is taking all the pressure when it comes to learning new skills. This is a great explanation as to why us ADHDers struggle with our executive function. Today's wonderful guest is Wynford Dore is the founder of Zing performance and is referenced by Ned in his book he through a personal struggle with his daughter has been on a mission for 20 years to research this groundbreaking way of treating our ADHD. Wynford says Cerebellum has long lasting effects and that if we could get children to start this training from a young age they would show minimal symptoms of ADHD by the time they were adults. These guys are SO confident about what they have created they even offer a full refund if you don't get results!! A bit about Wynford…For the last 20 years I have focussed my attention on changing the world, one brain at a time. I have funded many research projects and now work with the leading academics to determine the best solutions that successfully accelerate the development of learning in the brain - which finds our hidden potential and increases mental capacity…. including creating greater stronger emotional controls.Zing Performance now has the tools, scientific research, and strategy to achieve the results that every parent and child longs to see.The success that Wynford has seen already speaks for itself and I can honestly say my life and the way I felt changed with just 30 days of Zing Performance training.FIND OUT MORE:  http://www.zingperformance.com/af/adhduntangledhttps://www.instagram.com/wynforddore/?hl=enLet's get Untangled and show the world what we are made of!! ADHD COACHING IT'S TIME TO TURN YOUR ADHD STRUGGLES INTO STRENGTHS AND SHOW UP IN THE WAY YOU WERE ALWAYS MEANT TO! Read the book and send your questions to Dr. Breuning on the contact form at the Inner Mammal Institute at: InnerMammalInstitute.org. You may be a guest on the show yourself! The brain chemicals that make us feel good are inherited from earlier mammals. They evolved to do a job, not to make you feel good all the time. When you know the job each chemical does in the state of nature, your ups and downs make sense. More important, you can re-wire yourself to enjoy more of them in sustainable ways. It's not easy, alas. Our brain is designed to release happy chemicals when you take steps that promote survival. But our brain defines survival in a quirky way: it cares about the survival of your genes and it relies on neural pathways built in youth. To make things even harder, our brain habituates to the rewards it has so you always have to do more to get more happy chemicals. We are not born with survival skills like our animal ancestors. Each newborn human wires itself from its own early experience. Happy chemicals are like paving on your neural pathways, wiring you to repeat behaviors that made you feel good before. This is why our urgent motivations don't make sense to our verbal brain. It's not easy being mammal! When you know how your brain works, you can find healthier ways to enjoy happy chemicals and relieve unhappy chemicals. You can build new neural pathways by feeding your brain new experiences. But you have to design the new experiences carefully and repeat them— a lot!The Inner Mammal Institute has free resources to help you make peace with your inner mammal: videos, blogs, infographics, and podcasts. Wynford Dore was an incredibly successful businessman, founding two multi-million dollar businesses as a young man. But when his daughter was nine years old, she was diagnosed with dyslexia and told that this was just the way life would be moving forward. She became increasingly depressed, eventually attempting to take her own life. So, 20 years ago, Wynford sold his businesses, bought the latest neurological testing equipment developed for NASA, and recruited therapists, doctors, and medical researchers to dive deep into how our brains develop — and why, sometimes, they don’t. They transformed the lives of 45,000 children and adults, including Wynford’s daughter, and the world’s media started reporting on the success. You might be thinking to yourself right now, “But wait, I’ve never heard of a treatment for these learning disabilities” — and you’re right. Because the medical and educational industries didn’t react kindly to the introduction of drug-free, highly effective methodologies for addressing chronic and highly lucrative problems.  Wynford was forced to close many of his clinics and he sold the remaining ones. For 18 months, he thought he had failed in his life purpose. But Wynford got a second wind. He wasn’t done leaving his mark on the world yet. Because he started to realize that the brain-related challenges that blight so many lives are also masking enormous potential. His vision became clear — to create a way for children, adults, athletes, and the elderly to develop key brain skills while also becoming emotionally robust.  So he founded Zing Performance, a brain development program conducting breakthrough research to address the root cause of reading issues and other learning difficulties. And in his latest book, Stop Struggling in School, he fiercely attacks the use of labels to describe learning difficulties while preaching hope to the increasing number of totally misunderstood children and adults. Wynford’s story is incredible, showing that one person with passion, a willingness to keep pushing forward, and the truth can stand up to entire industries that want to keep making money at the expense of human lives. We need more people like Wynford in the world, and I’m grateful that I can help us take even a small step closer to Wynford’s vision by sharing his story on the show. Having these long and deep conversations requires an intense amount of focus, and sometimes I try to use coffee to help me stay alert. But sometimes I get a little too hyped — and, honestly, it’s because I’m straight up ODing on caffeine (you can learn more about your relationship with caffeine, you can check out Candor’s Caffeine Type Quiz). So I was stoked to find Candor, who make this delicious Coconut Matcha Nootropic Latte. It still has a little bit of caffeine, but combined with ingredients like green tea l-theanine, which is clinically proven to boost attention and mood when paired with caffeine. We all know that we’re surrounded by cell signals and wifi all the time, and there’s two areas of your body that are most susceptible to radiation: your brain and your reproductive organs. I’ve talked a lot about the danger of EMFs and how you can protect yourself — while staying sane — and Lambs is making it easier than ever. Because Lambs has radiation-proof underwear that will keep your most vulnerable bits safe, without making you uncomfortable or look uncool, and a beanie that can protect your dome. New research has shown that the key to treating ADHD and dyslexia lies in the cerebellum, the area of the brain that controls coordination and balance, with exercise playing an integral part. And a new treatment program created by a father who wanted to help his struggling daughter has shown remarkable success in the more than 50,000 people that have tried it, including our host's own son. This breakthrough is so new that most doctors don't even realize the important role the cerebellum plays in unlocking a person's potential. My soulmate is my guest in this fascinating show about The BIGGEST missing link in the biomed, biohacking and neuro-hacking community. We talk about : - love problems - health issues - children's school struggles - autism - dyslexia - monogamy iPhones, iPads, passive indoor lifestyles and porn lead to dopamine driven lives that ruin our families, our children, our relationships and, if we don´t do something about it, our brains. Underdeveloped cerebellum is the root cause of reading, writing and concentration problems. It also affects relationships, weight, intimacy and emotional control. You can develop and mature the cerebellum via specific, physical exercises at ANY age because of the amazing plasticity of the brain. Yet, nobody is talking about this. You can reset, rewire and create more brain cells in the brain, within the brain. If supplements, diets and therapy hasn’t changed the struggles with food, mood, learning, behavior and relationships, then your issue is probably neurological. No one is talking about it. No one has told you what to do about it either. Until now. Forget neurofeedback, brain training, brain-food, endless hours spent on therapy and supplements. Go back and give your brain a second chance to hardwire the skills that have not fully been developed. Don't miss out on this eye-opening conversation. Tragically, we seem to be facing an epidemic and brain diseases from autism, Alzheimer's, dyslexia, and attention deficit disorder. This didn't use to be the case. Is it environmental toxins, vaccines, some epigenetic trigger? One thing we can all agree on is that treating these disorders like ADD, ADHD, autism, Asperger’s and so on with drugs from the big pharma is not ideal. What if there was another way? According to my guest for this episode, Wynford Dore, these and many other learning difficulties like dyslexia can be treated by personalized training that gets to the root of the problem rather than focusing on the symptoms. Wynford is a serial entrepreneur whose latest business sold in 2011 for a nine-figure sum, but that isn't what lights him up. He wants to change the world one brain at a time. His ventures include the withZING Brain Development Program and a world-renowned private school in England.   While Wynford’s work has primarily been on children with learning disabilities, many of his discoveries about learning and the brain are applicable to adults. This journey to the brain started for Wynford with his daughter’s attempted suicide. Wynford had to solve his daughter's learning issues. Her life depended on it. You'll be relieved to know that she's happy and thriving now. Wynford is passionate about sharing his research team’s great breakthroughs in transforming the skills lacked by those with ADHD, dyslexia, Asperger's, and autism. These methods are so good that elite athletes and sports teams are using them. If you're interested in overcoming barriers to your own learning and want to heal your brain or the brain of someone you love, join us as we take a deep dive into the brain and reveal some powerful secrets that could lead to an incredible breakthrough.

Many struggles that children or adults face in school or work are the result of an underdeveloped cerebellum. The good news is that you can increase blood flow to the cerebellum through a process called vestibular stimulation. In the third and final episode of Cerebellum Week, Dr. Daniel Amen and Wynford Dore discuss which of these activities will help the most with vestibular stimulation.

Science has shown us that the stimulation of the vestibular system (your inner ear) is crucial in development of the cerebellum, which is part of the brain hugely responsible for learning. So why are today’s children having increasingly slow development in this area? In the second part of Cerebellum Week, Dr. Daniel Amen is joined by Wynford Dore for a discussion on how to make sure our children develop their cerebellum correctly and avoid learning disabilities.
