With the game in the balance, Head Coach Benjamín Mora made an attacking switch and brought Austin Ricci off the bench. And it proved an astute move. When Vincensini pulled a cross out of the sky and found Babouli with a quick throw, the counter attack was very much on. The latest victory came in the notoriously difficult surroundings of ATCO Field in Calgary where The Nine Stripes conjured just their second ever win in 12 visits thanks to a magnificent free-kick from Mo Babouli and a first ever professional goal from 16-year-old Shola Jimoh, who became the second-youngest CPL goalscorer in history when he tapped home following Brian Wright's superb dazzling dribble and perfect cross.The three points consolidated second place in the table and kept momentum going ahead of another road assignment this weekend in Vancouver. The latest victory came against Halifax Wanderers at York Lions Stadium last weekend: the team's fifth on home soil in the 2024 campaign. In the process, The Nine Stripes have climbed to second in the Canadian Premier League table and can proudly boast of possessing the best home record of any Toronto sports team right now - better than the Argos, way better than the Blue Jays and way, way better than Toronto FC.  Eoin O'Callaghan looks back on the 2-1 win with analysis from Mora and midfielder Juan Cordova, who grabbed his second of the season against the Wanderers. There's a new Head Coach in town. His name is Benjamín Mora. And his mission is to bring silverware to The Nine Stripes. He's done it plenty of times already in an extremely impressive career, racking up nine titles during his stint in Malaysia.  His success with Johor Darul Ta'zim led to his return to native Mexico and a high-profile job with Atlas in Liga MX.He brings a big reputation to the club and he was officially unveiled earlier this week. The entire episode is dedicated to Mora's arrival: we bring you inside his first press conference, while Eoin O'Callaghan sits down with him to understand more about his process, his journey and his first impressions of the squad. We also look ahead to a big day on Sunday, June 9th. As well as being Mora's first game as Head Coach, it's also the club's Pride Match. A transitional phase for The Nine Stripes with Mauro Eustáquio having stepped up as interim Head Coach following the departure of Martin Nash. But, Eustáquio oversaw a superb first victory on home soil as York United FC made it three straight wins at York Lions Stadium.
