Nottingham Forest have come along way in the last few years as they secured a place in the Europa League semi-finals after beating FC Porto 2-1 on aggregate. Aston Villa await but Forest remain entrenched in the Premier League relegation battle with a huge game against Burney at the City Ground to come on Sunday. We'll reflect on the Porto win and preview the Burnley game as Forest have injury worries over Chris Wood, Callum-Hudson-Odoi and Murillo, while Elliot Anderson could miss the game after the death of his mother. Listen on Apple Podcasts - watch or listen on Spotify - watch on YouTube. Oh, what a night! Forest toiled away against the ten men of Porto. Having taken the lead through Morgan Gibbs-White, they controlled the first half, but the visitors came out fighting in the second period, hitting the bar twice and giving the home fans a scare. Rich Ferraro and Tom Newton report on a game where the players had to dig in, amidst the sad news that emerged just before kick off that Elliott Anderson had lost his mum. Elliott and his family were clearly in the hearts and minds of the Reds players and supporters, and we send our sympathies. Nottingham Forest beat FC Porto 1-0 in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals at the City Ground to go through 2-1 on aggregate. Victory for Forest secured a second a European semi-final spot for the first time since 1984 but it came at a huge price potentially after Forest lost Chris Wood, Murillo and Callum Hudson-Odoi to injury. Forest were also without Elliot Anderson after the sad death of his mother Helen. Wood was injured in a tackle which saw Jan Bednarek sent-off before Morgan Gibbs-White got the only goal on the night. Matt Davies is joined by Paul Morley and Dillon Mapletoft to discuss whatever happens around 10 minutes after the game finishes. #nffc #nottinghamforest

On a warm evening on the banks of the Douro, Forest got off to a torrid start, and could have conceded three before Porto took a 10th minute lead. Fortunately the hosts were in a generous mood and gifted an equaliser to the Reds with a comical 40 yard own goal. After the first 20 mins or so, Forest settled down, and achieved more stability especially in defence. While the visitors rarely threatened, there was an intriguing moment in the second half when Igor Jesus had a goal disallowed by VAR after colliding with Porto custodian Diogo Costa. George, Tom and friends report LIVE from the Estadio de Dragao, as they wait to be released from the away end. We'll be back on Sunday after the return to Premier League action against fellow Europa hopefuls Aston Villa. Wolfie looks at the expected line-up for Nottingham Forest game against Porto! Check out FFTV Merch! Click Here: https://forestfantv.com/ The European dream continues! Welcome back to Forest Fan TV as Wolfie gears up for one of the biggest nights in our recent history. Following that incredible penalty shootout victory over Midtjylland, Nottingham Forest find themselves in the UEFA Europa League Quarter-Finals, facing off against Portuguese giants FC Porto. We've already proven we can handle the pressure on the continent this season, but the Estádio do Dragão is a different beast entirely. Wolfie breaks down whether Vítor Pereira's men can replicate their clinical away form and take a vital result back to the City Ground for the second leg. The massive talking point heading into Thursday night is the fitness of Chris Wood. After a long-term knee injury and a successful scoring return with the U21s, the big question is: does he start? Wolfie dives into the predicted XI, debating whether Wood goes straight back into the lineup to lead the charge or if Igor Jesus keeps his place after a solid run of form. We take a look at Porto's danger men, including Samu Aghehowa and the experienced Luuk de Jong, and discuss the tactical shifts needed to shut down Francesco Farioli's side on their own turf. How are you feeling about this one, Forest fans? Can we pull off another European masterclass, or will the quality of Porto be a step too far? Wolfie gives his score prediction and outlines exactly what he thinks the "Road to Success" looks like in this first leg. We want to hear your thoughts in the comments below—does Chris Wood start, and what is your score prediction for the big night in Portugal? Let's get behind the boys as we look to make even more history! COYR! #nffc #nottinghamforest #porto Learn more about your ad choices.
