It's the first band she's ever ever sang in, but she's just excellent."We bring up the fact that all three are young musicians, not even born when Black Flag were at their peak, and ask if that was a problem when it comes to relating to the band's music and legacy."Yeah, but that doesn't matter," Ginn shook his head. "I think our songs aren't really attached to a particular time in terms of the themes. They're about personal stuff. Real stuff. Real people. Real feelings. Real situations. A lot of our fans are younger. It's amazing how many young people are in our crowd. It doesn't make any difference. If people are involved with the music, I don't see it as being from a period, a particular period of time. Church Life                   “Message of the Martyr, Pt. 2; God with Us”                                      Acts 7:9-16   Providence (vv. 9-13)   Isa. 45:5a; 46:9-10.  Pro. 16:4,9 33  Ro. 8:28    Promises (vv. 14-16)   "Why?"- evil, pain and suffering?   1. Salvation (Gen. 50:20) as we just heard today from Joseph. I can tell you the gospel is going out & the Lord is going to save people in the aftermath of that storm and recovery as hundreds of Christian volunteer workers (FBC Disaster Relief) are going to love on those victims and serve them, showing and sharing Christ and his gospel.  E.g .of 2 former church friends of mine and brothers -David Rodriguez (and Fred S).  So many stories like that..   This is a massive truth that echoes somewhat what the Lord said after the Tower in Siloam fell and killed those 18 people. Rather than directly answer the ‘why' of that disaster he told them, “Repent or you will likewise perish!” God sovereignly chooses some to suffer an affliction or tragedy so that will uniquely comfort others, even leading some to salvation (2 Cor. 1).   2. Sanctification (Ja. 1:2-4)   It is the will of God in both what he desires and what he decrees, that his children suffer because it strengthens and confirms our faith. Life is hard but that matures in the faith. I've never heard of anyone maturing in faith and character while sipping on daquiris at the beach. I love being at the beach but that's not the best way to grow in Christ likeness. Pain is.   C. S. Lewis said, “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world” (The Problem of Pain).  God uses suffering to bring us to the end of ourselves and back to Christ to draw close to him and be dependent on him and that's worth any cost.     1 Pet. 1:6-7 rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.   You don't want to be found without a tested faith when Christ returns. Listen, one of the greatest proofs in the NT of knowing you're a Christian, is not a prayer you prayed so many years ago with a decision, or even giving and church attendance as good as those things are. It's endurance- perseverance of faith (fortitude). Will you hang on to Jesus with everything you've got when you have nothing else? As someone wrote, “You don't really know Jesus is all you need until Jesus is all you have.”     3. Glorification (Jo. 9:3)

David Rodriguez has a legacy of military service in his family, but his real motivation for joining the Army was to move on from working in the family business of farming. Soon he was off to Ft. Lewis, Washington, for basic training. He was then trained as a combat engineer. By late 1966, he was off to Vietnam.In this edition of "Veterans Chronicles," Rodriguez tells us about his first time in combat and how training could never fully prepare him for it. He also explains the mindset needed to have a chance of surviving. Rodriguez also shares the details of his actions in December 1967 to counter a U-shaped ambush the enemy launched against his unit. His charging and takeover of a machine gun position led to the end of the threat and a Bronze Star.Rodriguez also tells us about his three wounds, including two serious bayonet injuries. Finally, he tells us about his work as National Commander of the American GI Forum and his advocacy for our veterans to get much better care than they currently receive.

Examining the Evidence: Is Someone in the Rodriguez House Responsible for the Stalking? As the investigation into the cyberstalking of the Rodriguez family continues, new information has come to light about the possible culprit. To uncover potential leads, an ethical hacker was brought on to investigate all parties involved in the case, including the alleged stalker, Dr. Grace Gressman, and her husband, John. After a thorough search, it was determined that both the doctor and her husband had no unusual internet activity and were unlikely to be the stalker. However, when the hacker turned their attention to the Rodriguez family, they found something curious. Logan, the oldest adult child of Claudia and David Rodriguez, had 5 active devices. Mishaal Khan, a cyber-security expert, says, "While it may be normal for someone of Logan's age to have multiple devices, it is unusual for someone to have so many." Naturally, this raised some suspicions, but no concrete evidence was found to pinpoint a suspect. At this point, it is clear that John Gressman cannot be the stalker. But with the investigation at a standstill, questions remain about who is behind the threatening messages. Is it possible that Claudia is orchestrating the Stalking herself to gain attention? Cyberstalker Resumes Harassment of Rodriguez Family, Targets Infant Daughter After months of peace, the cyberstalker who has been tormenting Claudia and David Rodriguez for years has returned. This time, the stalker has directed his rage toward his own infant daughter, causing great concern and fear for the child's safety. Rodriguez Family Reports Alleged Abuse to Child Protective Services In response to this disturbing development, the Rodriguezes have reported the alleged abuse to child protective services. They've also contacted the medical board in hopes of stripping Dr. Gressman from her medical license.  This situation is maddening. The Rodriguezes hoped to find a sense of normalcy and safety. The Stalker part 5 Claudia and David Rodriguez have five children, four of whom are adults, and most have severe medical or mental health issues. Two of their adult children are so disabled that the Rodriguezes have guardianship over them, meaning they have no rights. One child has undergone multiple surgeries, including spinal cord surgery, brain surgery, and stomach stoma surgery. The Rodriguez family has faced accusations from their daughter's neurologist, Dr. Grisman, accusing Claudia of having Munchausen by proxy, a disorder in which a caregiver intentionally causes or exaggerates the medical symptoms of someone in their care. Claudia vehemently denies these claims, stating that she is a mother who would do anything for her children and that others shouldn't judge her unless they have been in her shoes. Despite their claims of innocence, the authorities suspect that Rodriguez's oldest daughter, Logan, is the one sending the Stalking messages. However, Claudia and David say this is impossible as Logan was in a mental health facility without access to any devices when the Stalking started up again.
