What if the biggest threat to your wealth isn't how much you make—but what you were never taught about keeping, protecting, and multiplying it?Marvin Mitchell returns to Inside the Vault with Ash Cash to break down the wealth strategies most people never learn in school, at work, or from the traditional financial system. After more than 20 years as a financial advisor, Marvin says the biggest shift is not always learning something new—it's unlearning the financial habits that keep people retirement rich but cash poor.In this episode, Marvin breaks down the difference between a debtor, saver, and wealth creator; why your money can't grow beyond your mindset; how wealthy people use leverage instead of constantly liquidating assets; and why high earners can still struggle with lifestyle creep. He also opens up about receiving a $1.3 million tax bill and says that after investing in high-level tax expertise, he was able to reduce the bill to under $200,000. Then the conversation turns to AI.Marvin says his coaching business generated $12 million without a single U.S. employee—using AI and overseas team members to keep payroll low while scaling operations. He explains why entrepreneurs should learn tools like ChatGPT, Grok and Perplexity, and why AI should be treated as an amplifier for your knowledge instead of just a shortcut. Marvin and Ash also discuss mentorship, real estate tax strategies, trusts, estate planning, infinite banking, protecting wealth across generations, and why the answer to your next level may not be “how”—it may be “who.”Learn more from Marvin: Instagram: @marvinmitchellofficial TransformYourWealthChallenge.comInside the Vault: @insidethevault InsideTheVaultShow.comHost: @iamashcash IAmAshCash.comABUNDANCE IS YOUR BIRTHRIGHT.Join Ash Cash and a community focused on building wealth, increasing income, strengthening your mindset, and creating a more abundant life:TheAbundanceCommunity.comTIMESTAMPS00:00 – AI, leverage & the wealth rules nobody teaches 02:17 – Welcome to Inside the Vault 03:23 – Marvin returns after the viral infinite banking episode 04:50 – Who is Marvin Mitchell? 05:48 – What people need to unlearn about money 07:13 – Retirement rich but cash poor 09:01 – Debtor, saver or wealth creator? 10:06 – The 3 money identities 11:05 – Opportunity cost & making money work multiple times 12:06 – Lifestyle creep 12:30 – Budget vs. spending plan 13:14 – Foundation, core & speculative wealth 13:48 – Emergency funds, insurance & protection 14:17 – Building the “boring” core 15:02 – Why YOU are the best investment 16:21 – Can you inherit wealth and keep it? 17:01 – Your money cannot grow beyond your mindset 18:35 – “If you want more, be more” 19:27 – How the IRS can destroy wealth 20:18 – Marvin's $1.3M tax bill 21:41 – Cutting $1.3M to under $200K 22:17 – What schools and jobs don't teach you 23:30 – Why Marvin believes in investing in mentorship 24:00 – The $80 paycheck that changed his thinking 25:10 – $100K mentorships and million-dollar returns 26:03 – The parable of the talents 27:23 – Why the master was the real wealth creator 28:27 – The answer isn't “how”—it's “who” 29:18 – How to avoid fake gurus 30:29 – Look at the fruit AND the infrastructure 31:59 – Should you pay for mentorship? 33:00 – Marvin's mission to become the “Black Dave Ramsey” 33:58 – The Transform Your Wealth Challenge 34:13 – Wealthy people leverage instead of liquidate 34:34 – Real estate tax strategies & cost segregation 35:16 – How the 5-day challenge works 42:54 – Giraffes, turtles & protecting big dreams 44:24 – How to take advantage of the wealth transfer 44:32 – Learn AI 45:02 – Using AI as employees 45:20 – $12M business with no U.S. employees 45:43 – “AI is not here to take your job” 46:42 – AI is an amplifier 47:07 – Marvin's AI business-planning prompt 48:08 – Is becoming your own bank still relevant? 48:49 – Revocable vs. irrevocable trusts 50:11 – Spendthrift, special needs & charitable trusts 54:05 – Why Compass Retirement is becoming Compass Wealth 55:05 – “Abundance is your birthright” 55:55 – Connect with Marvin 56:23 – Join the Transform Your Wealth Challenge 57:04 – Closing the VaultAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

A $1.3 million jail redesign to better handle severe mental health challenges and the future of 111 acres of county farmland in West Salem are two of the big topics discussed with La Crosse County Board Chair Tina Tryggestad. Beyond the big policy votes, Tryggestad shares a personal connection to the old Shelby ball fields on 33rd Street as the county considers a new lease agreement. Plus, a lighthearted look at why steady, "boring" county government is usually a sign that local operations are actually working. Key Topics: $1.3 Million Jail Redesign: Why the county is drawing $1.3M from current budget savings for redesign blueprints—a project expected to cost around $10 million total—to address severe mental health challenges, safely separate inmate populations, and protect jailers. 111-Acre West Salem Farmland Review: Where things stand with 11 concept proposals (RFIs) submitted to potentially build housing on county-owned farmland, and how county leadership is partnering with the Village of West Salem on next steps. Personal Connections at Hillview Ball Fields: Tryggestad reflects on her adult kids playing Shelby youth baseball on 33rd Street as the county considers transferring the field lease to the School District of La Crosse for Central High School athletics. Sunsetting SMRT Bus Funding: The practical factors behind ending La Crosse County's financial support for Scenic Mississippi Regional Transit by December 31 due to low ridership metrics and dropped contributions from neighboring counties. $22.3M ARPA Impact Report: A recap of how federal pandemic relief funds were deployed—including $12M toward the Hillview redesign, transitional housing units, and regional childcare grants. Why "Boring" Government Works: Rick and Tina open with a lighthearted look at why steady, reliable county operations rarely generate chaotic headlines—and why consistency is the ultimate goal. Most construction owners think they have four exit options. Pass it to a kid. Sell to an employee. Sell to a competitor. Sell to private equity. The reality is harder. Private equity passes on most contractors. Competitors often aren't buying. That's why ESOPs are now the fastest-growing succession trend in construction. Kelly Finnell, CEO of EFS ESOP Consultants, has done 22 ESOPs for general and specialty contractors in recent years. Hybrid jets' comparative edge over standalone propulsion systems such as gas-, hydrogen-, and electric-powered jets enables both outcomes for various reasons. For one, compared to full electric (battery energy density/weight limitations) or hydrogen (infrastructure and cost hurdles), hybrid-electric uses already-available technology, cutting fuel use by ~50% and lowering maintenance costs (electric engines cost ~80% less than jet engines), while remaining compatible with existing infrastructure. Adrian also discloses the exact findings informing Nimbus Aerospace's decision to manufacture six-passenger light jets. Light jets make up ~36.5% of the U.S. private jet market and service ~80% of private jet trips, making it an attractive segment for a new entrant. On engineering progress, Akim shared that the team is currently flight testing a quarter-scale, fully electric prototype — deliberately not yet incorporating the hybrid propulsion system — to first nail down the aerodynamics and design data needed before integrating the hybrid powertrain into the full-scale aircraft. As he disclosed, the build was the fastest turnaround of any prototype worked on thus far; further, Nimbus Aerospace aims to leverage already-established manufacturing processes to hasten certification timelines.Additionally, Akim revealed that safety remains his number one filter on every decision, from flight testing to design changes. Akim then spoke candidly about representation in the industry, noting that he and Adrian are regularly approached by people — including women — who prior to their conversation did not realize people from diverse ethnic backgrounds could start a company like Nimbus Aerospace, underscoring why diverse leadership matters for driving innovation in aviation and aerospace.Learn more about:Nimbus AerospaceThe Energy Talk PodcastConnect on LinkedIn with:Adrian Groos Akim Niyonzima

Problems Scale Faster Than Revenue. Here Is the Fix with Nick Avaria   Find Rocky Lalvani @ www.ProfitComesFirst.com  or email him at rocky@profitcomesfirst.com Make more, work less video: https://youtu.be/   You hired people so you could step back. Instead, you are more in the weeds than before, the business feels harder to run than it did at half the size, and profit is somehow lower despite the growth. That is not a people problem. That is the missing middle, and it has a structure, a cost, and a fix. Nick Avaria has bought and sold seven agencies, all profitably. He has watched founders hit this wall time after time at $3M, $5M, even $8M. And in this episode, he breaks down exactly why growth makes things worse before they get better, and what to do about it in the right order.   In This Episode: Why treating profit as a leftover instead of a design choice is the most expensive mistake in the $2M to $10M range The founder's premium: why you close sales at 10 to 20% higher rates than any salesperson you hire, and why delegating sales too early destroys revenue The missing middle: why scaling without a management layer sends businesses backward from $12M to $6M and costs 12 to 18 months to recover The specific order to replace yourself in your own business (and why most founders get it backwards) Why marketing is the hardest function to hand off and what a 3 to 9-month handoff really looks like Why the best executives do not work for founders, and what it takes to become the kind of leader they will work for AI as a win-more button: why it amplifies great people and makes mediocre work worse at speed   Key Takeaways: Profit must be designed in at the start. It is never a leftover. Your close rate as the founder is 10 to 20% higher than any professional salesperson you hire. That gap has a dollar value. Problems scale faster than revenue. A structural flaw at $2M is more expensive at $4M and potentially catastrophic at $8M. The delegation order: admin first, delivery second, marketing third, sales fourth, leadership last. The best managers and executives will not work for you while you are still operating as a founder. That shift is on you.   About Nick Avaria: Nick is a serial agency entrepreneur who has scaled multiple companies to 7- and 8-figure success, buying and selling seven agencies along the way. With firsthand experience merging leadership teams and cultures, he now helps agency owners escape burnout and build highly profitable businesses that empower their teams and clients—without sacrificing their lives in the process. Still in the trenches as an agency owner himself, Nick brings real-world insights on scaling, leadership, founder burnout, and creating systems for sustainable growth.   Links: Website: http://www.agencyacquisitions.io    LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nickavaria/   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nick_avaria/   YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@AgencyAcquisitions   Profit Blueprint Calculator I Profit Comes First: https://lp.profitcomesfirst.com/profitblueprintcalc-page   Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@profitanswerman Sign up to be notified when the next cohort of the Profit First Experience Course is available! Will Dubas push the chips to 2027 when there is a loaded free agency class with the Penguins expected to have an abundance of cap space? 93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. Jeff doesn't think the Jason Robertson thing is totally dead because he re-signed to only 1 more year in Dallas. How close are the Penguins if Robertson is in the mix? Jeff doesn't think Kyle Dubas is done looking at his options. Jeff said there isn't really an in-house option to build around after Sidney Crosby. Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. Tyler said the Penguins offseason strategy should now be ‘sit & wait' after Jason Robertson re-signed in Dallas. Should the Penguins have interest in Dylan Larkin? With a loaded free agency class in 2027, will the Penguins get in on the fun? The guys think Cale Makar should be on top of the priority list in the '27 offseason. “If someone can do the same revenue in 12 hours, basically out of nowhere, it does lower the value of brands.” What does the collapse of traditional brand equity mean for founders still building toward an exit? Roman Khan (Co-Founder & President, Peak21) joins Sean Frank (CEO, Ridge) and Matt Bertulli (CEO, Pela Case and Lomi) to make one uncomfortable argument: the playbook for building and buying ecommerce brands is broken, and most founders haven't figured that out yet. After three years acquiring DTC businesses, Roman stopped. The reason cuts to the heart of where dropshipping, ecommerce logistics, and brand valuation are all heading. His Hong Kong summit surfaced the shift in real time: Meta partnership ads back at the top of the stack, Applovin minting operators spending six figures a day, and TikTok-first brands doing $12M months on skeleton crews. The conversation covers why dropshipping from China is nowhere near dead, how Quince is building the AWS of ecommerce logistics, and the one thing Roman tells every founder under $100M in revenue: take out dividends, stop waiting for a buyer, and get honest about what your company is worth. Powered By Fulfil https://9ops.co/fulfil Aftersell https://9ops.co/4i3bb5 Richpanel https://9ops.co/richpanel Northbeam https://www.northbeam.io/ Saras Analytics https://bit.ly/4a3gzVv Postscript https://9ops.co/postscript Operators Newsletter https://9operators.com/

Today, I break down my biggest takeaways from the Philip McKernan BraveEntrepreneur leadership retreat in County Clare — and why experiences like this are non-negotiable for serious entrepreneurs. Top Takeaways: 1.    The Power of the Room — Being physically present with other high-level operators changes your baseline. Your OS coach says it best: when you're stuck or hitting a wall, having people you can actually reach out to is a different level of support than any online community. 2.    Identity Work Shows Up in Business — Imposter syndrome, childhood wounds, self-sabotage — these aren't business problems. They're identity problems that manifest in business. Until you do the inner work, the strategy won't stick. 3.    Thinking Bigger Becomes Easier When You're Around Bigger Thinkers — When you're sitting across from someone doing €12M a year, your own goals start to feel not just possible, but inevitable. Proximity recalibrates what you think is realistic. 4.    Vulnerability as a Leadership Skill — Retreats like this strip away the performance. The breakthroughs often come not from the content but from the honest conversations that happen off-schedule. 5.    The Cost of Isolation — Most entrepreneurs plateau not because of strategy gaps but because they're building alone. The retreat is a reminder that community isn't a luxury — it's part of the operating system. Episode 433 of The VentureFizz Podcast features Roy Hotrabhvanon, CEO & Co-Founder of PlayerData. Some companies seem like they were just meant to happen, which is certainly the case for PlayerData. Back in 2016, Roy was on track to compete in the Rio Olympics for archery when a severe car accident completely derailed his plans. But instead of letting that tragic incident define him, Roy picked himself up and built a tech company around the specialized performance tracking tools he had originally hacked together to train his own body. He was using sensors and data to optimize his performance, which certainly was not common practice back then. His firsthand experience seeing what hardware, software, and data could do for athletes sparked the foundation for PlayerData, and his timing turned out to be absolutely perfect. Fast forward, PlayerData helps athletes at every stage of their game build confidence, stay healthy, and work smarter with the company's world-class performance tracking technology. Discovery, shocking career staff attorneys who were preparing to recommend a lawsuit to block it.DOJ investigators worried the combined company's massive debt would prevent it from honoring its promise to release 30 movies annually. However, senior leadership dismissed the debt concerns, arguing the merger would beneficially create a stronger rival to streaming giants like Netflix. The unexpected approval has drawn intense criticism from lawmakers, notably Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who suggested the green light from the administration was politically motivated and stated the decision "reeks of corruption."The deal also faces regulatory hurdles at the FCC; despite Chairman Brendan Carr's support, the merger requires a special FCC waiver due to significant equity stakes held by sovereign wealth funds in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. While the federal government has stepped aside, the mega-merger still faces strict, ongoing antitrust scrutiny from the European Union and potential lawsuits from several state Attorneys General (including California) who insist the merger is not a done deal.Comcast Class A Shareholders Reject $107M Co-CEO Pay as Stock Slid 20%Brian Roberts 34% of vote42% no on pay with Roberts: 80% no without David Zaslav 2025 Pay Rejected By WBD Shareholders In Non-Binding Vote84% no for his $165MNo major shareholder: On the verge of being acquired by the EllisonsFox Corp to acquire Roku in $22B dealFox increased CEO/Chair Lachlan K. It just didn't disclose it until June 1 — and that one-day gap is why a $50M Polymarket market resolved "no," even though Strategy's own 8-K shows the sale happened inside the window.Kain Warwick, Luca Netz, and Taylor Monahan trace why Polymarket keeps writing resolution criteria that break under edge cases, and why handing oracle duties to UMA is a liability for a $20 billion platform. They also get into the third proposal to cut Solana's staking inflation, and what it would take to spark an "ultrasound money" moment for SOL. The most consequential story is Circle. A Friday-afternoon ex-parte court order froze a $12M commingled USDC pool all weekend, trapping innocent users' funds inside the Zama privacy protocol. Taylor's warning: Circle's policy of complying with any court order without retaining a final say creates a replicable attack template for any pool with USDC exposure. Rafael discusses the nuanced impact of AI-generated images, emphasizing that authenticity often outperforms polished visuals — demonstrated by a shoe cleaner brand scaling from $400K to $12M monthly. He advocates for a full-funnel marketing approach beyond PPC, continuous image testing, and integrating AI tools strategically. Rafaell also highlights the importance of emotional connection in content creation and recommends building strong internal creative teams to drive sustainable e-commerce growth. Here are the 3 action items that Josh identified from this episode:Prioritize authenticity over polish Test raw, real-looking visuals (UGC-style, iPhone shots)—they often convert better than high-end production. Systematize testing with data Validate images using tools and customer feedback before scaling; continuously test and iterate based on performance. Build a dedicated creative strategy team Don't rely on freelancers—invest in a creative lead and team to consistently produce, test, and optimize high-converting content.Timestamps:00:00:01 Authenticity vs. Professionalism in AdsOrganic, real-feeling content can perform twice as well as high-end professional videos, depending on the product's industry.00:00:50 Podcast and Guest IntroductionHost Josh Hadley introduces the topic of AI images on Amazon and welcomes guest Rafael Veloz from ShareIt Studio.00:02:27 Are AI Images Hurting Amazon Listings?AI images can hurt sales if used incorrectly, as they can lower the "perceived value" for emotionally-driven products.00:04:01 The Shoe Cleaner Case StudyA shoe cleaner brand grew from $400K to $1.2M a month by focusing on authentic, emotional content.00:06:26 How to Test and Update Main ImagesAnalyze competitor reviews for emotional triggers, create multiple main images, and test them both off and on Amazon regularly.00:12:01 Building a System for Creative ContentInstead of "hacks," build a system. Why the Smartest Accredited Investors Are Going All-In on Hotels.   In this episode of Abundance Mindset, Vinney "Smile" Chopra joins co-host Gualter Amarelo for a raw, real, and revelation-packed conversation about what it truly means to OWN your results — in business, in investing, and in life.   Vinney pulls back the curtain on his personal pivot from 7,500+ multifamily units to a laser focus on hospitality — and why he believes hotel rooms are apartment units on steroids.   Here's why: unlike a 12-month lease, a hotel "lease" is signed every single night — with up to five different price points depending on supply, demand, and local events. When a big concert or conference hits your market, your nightly rate can 4X overnight. That's a level of dynamic cash flow multifamily simply cannot match.   In this episode, you'll discover:

Fortifying Organizational Fragility (Part 3): Business Physics and the Frictionless Fallacy

Last week, my son and I stumbled across a "financial guru" on YouTube making an "interesting" claim: if you make $1M over 20 years, you've only made $50k a year...but if you make $1M in a month, you've made $12M in a year. While we had a good laugh at the empty logic, it highlighted the dangerous trend of being sold the promise of success rather than being guided on how to achieve it. The current culture has us swept up in a "Frictionless Fallacy," believing AI has somehow defeated the laws of business physics and that we can now manufacture success from thin air. In my final episode of our Fortifying Organizational Fragility series, I'm dismantling the promise of a new frictionless world. I'm breaking down why gravity doesn't care about your LLM and why so many people are "automating a loss" by chasing AI lottery tickets at the expense of their most non-renewable resource: Time. The Declassification: The Mirage of the Infinite GlitchI expose the two structural delusions currently draining our strategic resilience:The Dopamine of the Artifact: AI makes it easy to build "whiz-bangs," apps, and prompts that feel like progress but solve zero real-world problems. I share the story of a client who spent countless hours building six apps that would take dozens of lifetimes to provide a return on the time invested in them. The 24-Hour Wall: Despite the hype, AI has not changed the fact that we only have 24 hours in a day. Drawing on my experience growing up in a funeral home, I discuss why recognizing our finite time should make us relentlessly intentional, rather than desperate gamblers surrendering our legacy for "vibe-coded" paperweights. The "Now What": 3 Surgical Moves to Reclaim Strategic SovereigntyAI is an amplifier and an accelerant, not a magic powder; it can turn a small mistake into a total catastrophe if your logic is broken. Here is how you hit the brakes: The Objective Opportunity Cost Audit: Be honest about your hourly rate. If you are spending weeks "fiddling" to solve a problem that isn't in the black, you are bankrupting your own future. The Physics-First Test: Strip the word "AI" out of your pitch. If the business logic doesn't work with a real pencil and paper, the technology isn't going to save a lost cause. The Subscription Purge: Stop the "Cord-Cutter" trap of piling up duplicate AI widgets. If an app hasn't generated a measurable gain in 30 days, cancel it and stop funding the ruse. By the end of this series, my goal is to help you move past the "AI slop" and toward true agency. Sovereignty isn't about chasing more technology; it's about owning your time and your strategy before the bill comes due.⸻If this conversation helps you think more clearly about the future we're building, make sure to like, share, and subscribe.  “I get told no… probably 100 times a day—and I just go again.” In this episode, Benjamin Cohen shares how he raised over $12M and acquired $40M+ in multifamily assets—all before turning 30. Benjamin breaks down how he built his foundation by working inside a syndication firm, leveraging relationships, and learning through repetition rather than formal mentorship. He reveals the stark differences between raising retail capital versus institutional equity, why smaller syndicated deals can become operationally overwhelming, and how focusing on larger JV partnerships and ultra-high-net-worth investors changed his strategy. The conversation dives into building credibility at a young age, why “knowing your deal better than anyone” eliminates objections, and how discipline in acquisitions—not chasing deals—determines success in today's market. For investors and entrepreneurs, this episode delivers a raw, real-world look at what it actually takes to raise capital, structure deals, and scale in commercial real estate. 5 Key Takeaways from this episodeRepetition—not mentorship—built foundational skills Benjamin learned the business by executing deals, networking, and gaining real-world experience early on. Retail capital is time-intensive and operationally heavy Managing many smaller investors requires significant education, communication, and administrative effort. Institutional capital offers scale—but tougher economics Larger checks come with stricter terms, lower GP upside, and longer relationship-building timelines. Credibility comes from mastery, not age Deep knowledge of the deal and market can overcome skepticism and build investor trust quickly. The deal determines how easy capital raising will be Strong fundamentals—low basis, high yield, and good location—attract capital faster than aggressive underwriting.About Tim MaiTim Mai is a real estate investor, fund manager, mentor, and founder of HERO Mastermind for REI coaches. He has helped many real estate investors and coaches become millionaires.
