Sunday 11th May 2025 - West and North SitesSunday 18th May 2025 - Central AM & PMSpeaker - Pete SpiersIn the latest in the “Now Go!” series, Pete examines the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch recorded in Acts 8, and lists some of the barriers that we encounter when we want to share the gospel with others. He highlights the growing openness to faith in society, and encourages us to engage in evangelism through prayer, compassion, and courage._________________Acts 8 v 26-4026) Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, ‘Go south to the road – the desert road – that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.' 27) So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means ‘queen of the Ethiopians'). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, 28) and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. 29) The Spirit told Philip, ‘Go to that chariot and stay near it.'30) Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. ‘Do you understand what you are reading?' Philip asked.31) ‘How can I,' he said, ‘unless someone explains it to me?' So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.32) This is the passage of Scripture the eunuch was reading:‘He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.33) In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.'[b]34) The eunuch asked Philip, ‘Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?' 35) Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.36 ) As they travelled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, ‘Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptised?' 38) And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptised him. 39) When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. 40) Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and travelled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.Recorded at West Site - 11May2025
Sunday 4th May 2025 - West and North SitesSunday 11th May 2025 - Central AM & PMSpeaker - James RankineJames begins a new series by reminding us that, through the opening chapters of the Gospels, the invitation that Jesus extends to His disciples, and to us, is to "Come". Then Jesus' call shifts from “Come” to “Go”—sending first his disciples, and now, every believer into the world to share the gospel. In a season of openness, all Christians are called to go together, pray, recognize spiritual battle, seek God's favour, and stand in Christ's authority to make disciples._________________________Luke 10 v 1-211) After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2) He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3) Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 4) Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.5) “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.' 6 If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. 7) Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.8) “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. 9) Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.' 10) But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, 11) ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.' 12) I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.13) “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. 15) And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades.16) “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”17) The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”18) He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19) I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20) However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”21) At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.Recorded at West Site - 04May2025
Sunday 27th April 2025 - West and North SitesSunday 4th May 2025 - Central AM & PMSpeaker - Alice MeadsIn an extension to the series called The Last Week, Alice speaks about two events that took place in the week following the Lord's resurrection - when the risen Jesus appeared twice to His disciples. _______________________John 20 v 24-31:24) Now Thomas (also known as Didymus [twin]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 ) So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”26) A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27) Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”28) Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”29) Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”30) Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.___________________________Recorded at North Site - 27Apr2025
Sunday 20th April 2025 - North SiteSpeaker - Steph LeadbetterSteph shares the wonder, victory and power of the Easter story, and two of our Vineyard North family share what resurrection means to them.______________________Luke 24 v 1-121) On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2) They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3) but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4) While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5) In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, ‘Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6) He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7) “The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.”' 8) Then they remembered his words.9) When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10) It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 11) But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. 12) Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened._________________________Recorded at North Site - 20Apr2025

Sunday 13th April 2025 - West and North SitesSpeaker - Gary SmithGary continues our Easter 2025 series - The Last Week - with a look at the first Palm Sunday, the fulfillment of Zechariah's prophecy._______________________Matthew 21 v 1-111) As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2) saying to them, ‘Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to Me. 3) If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.'4) This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:5) ‘Say to Daughter Zion, “See, your King comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”'6) The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. 7) They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. 8) A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9) The crowds that went ahead of Him and those that followed shouted,‘Hosanna to the Son of David!'‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!'‘Hosanna in the highest heaven!'10 When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, ‘Who is this?'11 The crowds answered, ‘This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.'____________________________Recorded at the West site - 13Apr2025

Stay here and keep watch with Me.'39 Going a little farther, He fell with His face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.'40) Then He returned to His disciples and found them sleeping. ‘Couldn't you men keep watch with Me for one hour?' he asked Peter. 41) ‘Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.'42) He went away a second time and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may Your will be done.'43) When He came back, He again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. 44) So He left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.45) Then He returned to the disciples and said to them, ‘Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. 46) Rise! Let us go! Here comes My betrayer!'Recorded at North Site - 06Apr2025

In this talk, she shares aspects of the story of the lady who anointed Jesus with a fragrant ointment just a short while before his crucifixion.Note: There were some issues recording this talk, and it has been edited together from the morning and evening services.___________________Matthew 26 v 1-131) When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples, 2) “As you know, the Passover is two days away—and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”3) Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, 4) and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him. 5) “But not during the festival,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”6 ) While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, 7) a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.8) When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. 9) “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.”10) Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11) The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. 12) When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. 13) Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”Recorded at Central Site - 30Mar2025
Sunday 30th March 2025 - West and North SitesSpeaker - Matthew MeadsMatt continues our Easter 2025 series looking at one of the key events of the week leading to the crucifixion of the Lord, focusing on his final meal, shared with his disciples._________________Matthew 28 v 17-3017) On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”18) He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with My disciples at your house.'” 19) So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover. 20) When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. 21) And while they were eating, He said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.”22) They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, “Surely you don't mean me, Lord?”23) Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with Me will betray me. 24) The Son of Man will go just as it is written about Him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”25) Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, “Surely You don't mean me, Rabbi?”Jesus answered, “You have said so.”26) While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is My body.”27) Then He took a cup, and when He had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28) This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.29) I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom.”30) When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.___________________Recorded at West Site - 30Mar2025

Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.' 24) So Jesus went with him.A large crowd followed and pressed round him. 25) And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26) She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27) When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28) because she thought, ‘If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.' 29) Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.30) At once Jesus realised that power had gone out from him. He turned round in the crowd and asked, ‘Who touched my clothes?'31) ‘You see the people crowding against you,' his disciples answered, ‘and yet you can ask, “Who touched me?”'32) But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33) Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34) He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'35) While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. ‘Your daughter is dead,' they said. ‘Why bother the teacher anymore?'36) Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, ‘Don't be afraid; just believe.'37) He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James. 38) When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39) He went in and said to them, ‘Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.' 40) But they laughed at him. After he put them all out, he took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41) He took her by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha koum!' (which means ‘Little girl, I say to you, get up!'). 42) Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43) He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.___________________Recorded at West Site - 23Mar2025

They preached the word of God, but only to Jews. 20) However, some of the believers who went to Antioch from Cyprus and Cyrene began preaching to the Gentiles about the Lord Jesus. 21) The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord. Acts 11 v 27-30 27) During this time some prophets traveled from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28) One of them named Agabus stood up in one of the meetings and predicted by the Spirit that a great famine was coming upon the entire Roman world. (This was fulfilled during the reign of Claudius.) 29) So the believers in Antioch decided to send relief to the brothers and sisters in Judea, everyone giving as much as they could. 30) This they did, entrusting their gifts to Barnabas and Saul to take to the elders of the church in Jerusalem. Acts 13 v 1-3 1) Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. 2) While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” )3) So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5) And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6) and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' 7) I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. Sunday 5th January 2025 - West Site Speaker - James Rankine James begins our new series - Live Like Jesus 2025 - by bringing us back to the fundamentals and foundations of a life following Jesus. ---------- Mark 1 v 16-20 Jesus Calls His First Disciples 16) As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 17) “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 18) At once they left their nets and followed him. 19) When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. 20) Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him. Mark 2 v 13-14 13) Once again Jesus went out beside the lake. A large crowd came to him, and he began to teach them. 14) As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector's booth. “Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him. Mark 8 v 34 34) Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 35) For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36) What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37) Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Sunday 15th December 2024 - North Site Speaker - Alice Le Blond Alice unpacks the story of the Angelic Host appearing to the shepherds on the Judean hills near Bethlehem, and their response to the invitation to Come and See What the Lord has Done, encouraging us to respond with the same enthusiasm to the Lord's invitation to us. ------------ Luke 2 v 1 to 20 1) In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2) (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3) And everyone went to their own town to register. 4) So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5) He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6) While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7) and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. 8) And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9) An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10) But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11) Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12) This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13) Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14) “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests.” 15) When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” 16) So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17) When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18) and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19) But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20) The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. -- Isaiah 9 v 6-7 6) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7) Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. Sunday 24th November 2024 - West and North Sites Sunday 1st December 2024 - Central site AM & PM Speaker - Gemma Jones Gemma introduces our Christmas series - "Come and See!" with a look at Mary's Song in Luke chapter 1. -------- Luke 1 v 26 - 56 26) In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27) to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28) The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you.” 29) Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30) But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favour with God. 31) You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32) He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33) and he will reign over Jacob's descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” 34) “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” 35) The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36) Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37) For no word from God will ever fail.” 38) “I am the Lord's servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. 39) At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40) where she entered Zechariah's home and greeted Elizabeth. 41) When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42) In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! 43) But why am I so favoured, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44) As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45) Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” 46) And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord 47) and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, 48) for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, 49) for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is His name. 50) His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. 51) He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; He has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. 52) He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. 53) He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. 54) He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful 55) to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.” 56) Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home. -------- Recorded at North Site - 24Nov2024

Sunday 10th November 2024 - West and North Sites Speaker - Alice Meads Alice continues our study of the life of Jacob with a look at his reconciliation with his twin, Esau. -------- Genesis 33 v 1-18 1) Jacob looked up and there was Esau, coming with his four hundred men; so he divided the children among Leah, Rachel and the two female servants. 2) He put the female servants and their children in front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph in the rear. 3) He himself went on ahead and bowed down to the ground seven times as he approached his brother. 4) But Esau ran to meet Jacob and embraced him; he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him. And they wept. 5) Then Esau looked up and saw the women and children. ‘Who are these with you?' he asked. Jacob answered, ‘They are the children God has graciously given your servant.' 6) Then the female servants and their children approached and bowed down. 7) Next, Leah and her children came and bowed down. Last of all came Joseph and Rachel, and they too bowed down. 8) Esau asked, ‘What's the meaning of all these flocks and herds I met?' ‘To find favour in your eyes, my lord,' he said. 9) But Esau said, ‘I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.' 10) ‘No, please!' said Jacob. ‘If I have found favour in your eyes, accept this gift from me. For to see your face is like seeing the face of God, now that you have received me favourably. 11) Please accept the present that was brought to you, for God has been gracious to me and I have all I need.' And because Jacob insisted, Esau accepted it. 12) Then Esau said, ‘Let us be on our way; I'll accompany you.' 13) But Jacob said to him, ‘My lord knows that the children are tender and that I must care for the ewes and cows that are nursing their young. If they are driven hard just one day, all the animals will die. 14) So let my lord go on ahead of his servant, while I move along slowly at the pace of the flocks and herds before me and the pace of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir.' 15) Esau said, ‘Then let me leave some of my men with you.' ‘But why do that?' Jacob asked. ‘Just let me find favour in the eyes of my lord.' 16) So that day Esau started on his way back to Seir. 17) Jacob, however, went to Sukkoth, where he built a place for himself and made shelters for his livestock. That is why the place is called Sukkoth. 18) After Jacob came from Paddan Aram, he arrived safely at the city of Shechem in Canaan and camped within sight of the city. Sunday 3rd November 2024 - West and North Sites Sunday 10th November 2024 - Central AM & PM Speaker - James Rankine James continues with our study of the life of Jacob with a look at the pivotal event that was his encounter with the Angel of the Lord at Peniel, where they wrestled through the night. -------- Genesis 32 v 22-32 22) That night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two female servants and his eleven sons and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. 23) After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions. 24) So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25) When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob's hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 26) Then the man said, ‘Let me go, for it is daybreak.' But Jacob replied, ‘I will not let you go unless you bless me.' 27) The man asked him, ‘What is your name?' ‘Jacob,' he answered. 28) Then the man said, ‘Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.' 29) Jacob said, ‘Please tell me your name.' But he replied, ‘Why do you ask my name?' Then he blessed him there. 30) So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, ‘It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.' 31) The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel, and he was limping because of his hip. 32) Therefore to this day the Israelites do not eat the tendon attached to the socket of the hip, because the socket of Jacob's hip was touched near the tendon. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. 12) He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 13) There above it stood the Lord, and he said: ‘I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. 14) Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. 15) I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.' 16) When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, ‘Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.' 17) He was afraid and said, ‘How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.' 18) Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it. 19) He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz. 20) Then Jacob made a vow, saying, ‘If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear 21) so that I return safely to my father's household, then the Lord will be my God 22) and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God's house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.' Sunday 13th October 2024 - West and North Sites Speaker - Helen Burns Helen continues our series focussing on The Power of the Gospel, looking in particular at the great love that the Lord has lavished upon us. -------- 1 John 3 v 1-10 1) See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2) Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3) All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure. 4) Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5) But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6) No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. 7) Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8) The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. 9) No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. 10) This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God's child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. -------- Recorded at West Site - 13Oct2024
Sunday 6th October 2024 - West and North Sites Speaker - Dan King Dan continues our Power of the Gospel series, looking at the atoning sacrifice of Jesus. -------- 1 John 2 v 1-2 1) My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2) He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 4 v 9-16 9) This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10) This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11) Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12) No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 13) This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14) And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15) If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16) And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. -------- Recorded at West Site - 06Oct2024
Sunday 29th September 2024 - West Site Speaker - James Rankine James continues our series studying the Power of the Gospel -------- 1 John 2 v 3-17 3) We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4) Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5) But if anyone obeys his word, love for God[a] is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6) Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. 7) Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard. 8) Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining. 9) Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister[b] is still in the darkness. 10) Anyone who loves their brother and sister[c] lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 11 ) But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them. 12) I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.13) I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. 14) I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father.I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one. 15) Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[d] is not in them. 16) For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. -------- Recorded at West Site - 29Sep2024
Sunday 22nd September 2024 - West and North Sites Speaker - Alice Meads In the second of our series "The Power of the Gospel", Alice speaks about the invitation extended to all that are thirsty in Revelation 22, to come, and to take the free gift of the Water of Life. -------- 1) Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2) down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3) No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4) They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5) There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. 17) The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ. 4) We write this to make our joy complete. 5) This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. 6) If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7) But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. 8) If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10) If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word is not in us. Sunday 8th September, 2024 - West and North Sites Sunday 15th September 2024 - Central AM and PM Speaker - Alice Meads Alice shares part of the story of the early Church, and in particular, the part played by Barnabas - whose name means "son of encouragement" - and calls on us to emulate Barnabas by becoming a People of Encouragement. ------ Acts 11 v 19-26 (NLT) 19) Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Stephen's death travelled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch of Syria. 22) When the church at Jerusalem heard what had happened, they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23) When he arrived and saw this evidence of God's blessing, he was filled with joy, and he encouraged the believers to stay true to the Lord. 24) Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and strong in faith. And many people were brought to the Lord. 25) Then Barnabas went on to Tarsus to look for Saul. 26) When he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. Both of them stayed there with the church for a full year, teaching large crowds of people. (It was at Antioch that the believers were first called Christians.) Recorded at North Site - 08Sep2024
Sunday 11th August, 2024 - West Site Speaker - Dan King Dan continues our series 'Encounters With Jesus' looking at Jesus' interaction with the Pharisees in Mark 2 ------ Mark 2v1-12: 1) A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. 2) They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. 3) Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4) Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5) When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” 6) Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, 7) “Why does this fellow talk like that? He's blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8) Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things? 9) Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk'? 10) But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man, 11) “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 12) He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!” ------ Recorded at West Site - 11Aug2024

As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. 47) When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48) Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49) Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He's calling you.” 50) Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. 51) “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” 52) “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. ------- Recorded at Central Site - 04Aug2024
Sunday 21st July, 2024 - Central (AM) Speaker - Alice Meads Alice starts off our summer series "Encounters with Jesus", looking at Nicodemus' night-time meeting with Jesus. ------ John 3v1-17 1) Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2) He came to Jesus at night and said, ‘Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.' 3) Jesus replied, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.' 4) ‘How can someone be born when they are old?' Nicodemus asked. ‘Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born!' 5) Jesus answered, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6) Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7) You should not be surprised at my saying, “You must be born again.” 8) The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.' 9) ‘How can this be?' Nicodemus asked. 10) ‘You are Israel's teacher,' said Jesus, ‘and do you not understand these things? 11) Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12) I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13) No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven – the Son of Man. 14) Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15) that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.' 16) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17) For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. ------- Recorded at Central Site - 21Jul2024
Sunday 7th July, 2024 - Central (PM) Speaker - Matthew Meads Matt continues our series of studies from Paul's letter to the Christians at Ephesus, and unwraps the teaching that Paul gives about raising families. ------ Ephesians 6v1-9 1) Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2) ‘Honour your father and mother'– which is the first commandment with a promise – 3) ‘so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.'[a] 4) Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. 5) Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6) Obey them not only to win their favour when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7) Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8) because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. 9) And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favouritism with him. ------- Recorded at Central Site - 07Jul2024
Sunday 7th July, 2024 - West & North Sites Speaker - Rachel Kemp Rachel concludes our series of studies in Paul's letter to the Christians at Ephesus with a close look at the Armour of God. She reminds us of the opening chapters of the letter, which describe the gospel: Who Jesus is, what He has done for us, and what our identity is in the light of that. Rachel refers to Watchman Nee's summary of the book of Ephesians which Alice quoted in the previous message - the book can be summarised by three verbs: Sit, Walk, Stand. Rachel is looking at chapter 6, which is under the final heading - Stand. She explains who our enemy is, and how we are equipped to deal with him, equipped with the very same armour as used by God Himself (Isaiah 59v17). Rachel describes each of the various elements of the armour, with its specific area of effectiveness. By ensuring that we wear each item of this spiritual armour, and use the Sword of the Spirit, we can stand--and continue to remain standing--under any onslaught of the enemy. ------ Ephesians 6v10-24 10) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 11) Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13) Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14) Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15) and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16) In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17) Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18) And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. 19) Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20) for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. 21) Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. 22) I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you. 23) Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24) Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love. ------- Recorded at West Site - 07Jul2024
Sunday 23rd June, 2024 - West & North Sites Speaker - Alice Meads On Sunday, Alice carried on our series in Ephesians, looking at 5:1-20. Paul here is concerned with what intentional discipleship to Jesus looks like. He tells the church to do 3 things: walk in love, walk in light & walk in wisdom. ------ Ephesians 5v1-20 1) Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2) and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3) But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. 4) Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5) For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6) Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7) Therefore do not be partners with them. 8) For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9) (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10) and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12) It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13) But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14) This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” 15) Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16) making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17) Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18) Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19) speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20) always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. ------- Recorded at North Site - 23Jun2024
Sunday 9th June, 2024 - West & North Sites Speaker - James Rankine James continues our series taking a close look at the book of Ephesians, focusing on verses 22 to 32 of chapter 4, which provides us with a blueprint for Christian behaviour. In particular, James highlights verse 27 -- "Do not give the devil a foothold" -- because, James warns us, he can make a foothold into a stronghold. ------ Ephesians 4:22-32 22) You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23) to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24) and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. 25) Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbour, for we are all members of one body. 26) “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27) and do not give the devil a foothold. 28) Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. 29) Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31) Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32) Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. ------- Recorded at North Site - 09Jun2024
Sunday 2nd June, 2024 - West & North & Sites Sunday 9th June, 2024 - Central AM & PM Speaker - Matt Meads Matt takes a look at the story of the woman who anointed Jesus with expensive perfume during the days leading up to His arrest and execution. He points out that the woman withheld nothing, and gave every last drop of the expensive perfume in an act of love for her King. Matt encourages us to demonstrate our love for Jesus with similar abandonment - to hold nothing back, pouring out everything we have as a love offering to the King of kings. ------- Mark 14v1-11 1) Now the Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread were only two days away, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were scheming to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him. 2) ‘But not during the festival,' they said, ‘or the people may riot.' 3) While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head. 4) Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, ‘Why this waste of perfume? 5) It could have been sold for more than a year's wages and the money given to the poor.' And they rebuked her harshly. 6) ‘Leave her alone,' said Jesus. ‘Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7) The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me. 8) She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial. 9) Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.' 10) Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them. 11) They were delighted to hear this and promised to give him money. So he watched for an opportunity to hand him over. ------- Recorded at West Site - 02Jun2024
Sunday 26th May, 2024 - North Site Speaker - Dave Pike Dave takes us through chapter 4 of Ephesians, in which Paul impresses on us the importance of unity in the Body of Christ. Dave then relates Paul's teaching about the five-fold ministry gifts that the Lord has granted to the Church - Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. Ephesians 4v1-7 1) As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2) Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3) Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4) There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5) one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6) one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 7) But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. Ephesians 4v11-16 11) So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12) to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13) until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14) Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15) Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16) From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. ------- Recorded at North Site - 26May2024
Sunday 19th May, 2024 - West & North Sites Sunday 28th April, 2024 - Central Site AM & PM Speaker - Dan King Dan invites us into a life being seen and known by the "God who sees us". He encourages us that we are created to live in close relationship with God and those around us and to resist the temptation to hide away. ------- Luke 12v1-3 1) In the meantime, when so many thousands of the people had gathered together that they were trampling one another, he began to say to his disciples first, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2) Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. 3) Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops. Genesis 16v7-14 7) The angel of the Lord found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur. 8) And he said, “Hagar, slave of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?” “I'm running away from my mistress Sarai,” she answered. 9) Then the angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.” 10) The angel added, “I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.” 11) The angel of the Lord also said to her: “You are now pregnant and you will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael (which means God hears), for the Lord has heard of your misery. 12) He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.” 13) She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” 14) That is why the well was called Beer Lahai Roi (which means well of the Living One who sees me). John 4v13-26 13) Jesus answered, ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14) but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.' 15) The woman said to him, ‘Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.' 16) He told her, ‘Go, call your husband and come back.' 17) ‘I have no husband,' she replied. Jesus said to her, ‘You are right when you say you have no husband. 18) The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.' 19) ‘Sir,' the woman said, ‘I can see that you are a prophet. 20) Our ancestors worshipped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.' 21) ‘Woman,' Jesus replied, ‘believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22) You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23) Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. 24) God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.' 25) The woman said, ‘I know that Messiah' (called Christ) ‘is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.' 26) Then Jesus declared, ‘I, the one speaking to you – I am he.' ------- Recorded at North Site - 19May2024
