Sunday 23rd March 2025 - West SiteSpeaker - Andy ChapmanAndy and his wife, Bethan lead Riverside Vineyard in Feltham, near Heathrow Airport.Andy takes a look at a part of the ministry of the Church that Vineyard founder John Wimber called "The Stuff" - Healing the sick..._________________Mark 5 v 21-4321) When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered round him while he was by the lake. 22) Then one of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. 23) He pleaded earnestly with him, ‘My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.' 24) So Jesus went with him.A large crowd followed and pressed round him. 25) And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26) She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27) When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28) because she thought, ‘If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.' 29) Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.30) At once Jesus realised that power had gone out from him. He turned round in the crowd and asked, ‘Who touched my clothes?'31) ‘You see the people crowding against you,' his disciples answered, ‘and yet you can ask, “Who touched me?”'32) But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33) Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34) He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'35) While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. ‘Your daughter is dead,' they said. ‘Why bother the teacher anymore?'36) Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, ‘Don't be afraid; just believe.'37) He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James. 38) When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39) He went in and said to them, ‘Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.' 40) But they laughed at him. After he put them all out, he took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41) He took her by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha koum!' (which means ‘Little girl, I say to you, get up!'). 42) Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43) He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.___________________Recorded at West Site - 23Mar2025

Send us a Text Message. In the UK, more older homeowners are choosing to downsize due to rising living costs, including higher utility bills and maintenance expenses, and the desire for a simpler lifestyle. Recent data shows a 13% increase in home sales among those aged 66 and over, contrasting with stagnant or declining sales among younger homeowners. For example, Peter and Jennifer Hughes left their Regency townhouse due to health issues and the impracticality of a multi-storey home, while Modupe Olufunmilayo downsized to enjoy a mortgage-free retirement, even though it meant moving away from her community. For others, downsizing offers a fresh start, such as Kate and Stan Urbaniak, who are relocating from Aberdeen to Brighton, and Hilkka Fraser, who moved to Mersea Island after her husband's death.Meanwhile, Zamira Hajiyeva, wife of jailed Azeri banker Jahangir Hajiyev, has forfeited a luxury mansion near Harrods and a golf club in Ascot to the British government. Valued at about £18.5 million, these properties were seized following an Unexplained Wealth Order (UWO) related to her husband's financial misconduct. The National Crime Agency (NCA) traced the illicit funds through offshore accounts, confirming that the assets were acquired with money from fraud and embezzlement. The UK government will receive 70% of the proceeds from the sale, minus NCA costs, as part of ongoing efforts to combat illicit financial inflows. In response to soaring housing costs, young people in the UK are increasingly pooling resources with friends and siblings to buy property. Jack Robinson and Gemma Griffin, after years of expensive renting in London, chose a shared mortgage to purchase a flat in Woolwich. Similarly, Joe Almeida and his extended family bought a three-bedroom house in Feltham, and brothers Dylan and Marcus Hall purchased a home in Dunfermline. Lloyds Bank research shows that over half of young people are open to joint property ownership, despite concerns about complicating personal relationships. Finally, the ultra-wealthy are enhancing their homes with luxurious security features. Al Corbi, founder of SAFE (Strategically Armored & Fortified Environments), notes growing demand for opulent secure spaces, which now include extravagant features like underground escape tunnels, bowling alleys, and shark tanks. With rising concerns about climate change, pandemics, and political instability, these secure areas are being equipped with advanced protections such as blast-proof doors, unbreakable windows, and biometric systems. Graham Harris from SHH Architecture highlights that secure spaces are expanding in both size and functionality, reflecting a growing desire among the wealthy for comfort and preparedness against various threats. Interview With Abi Feltham, Podcast Host of Recovery From Anything
Abi Feltham grew up learning how to suppress her emotions, a habit that would persist for many years. She never enjoyed school and simply wanted to follow rock bands and party. Throughout her childhood, she never felt like she fit in with her peers, but she had many friends. Her first drink, which she had at the age of 13, made her feel normal, and she felt more connected to the world than ever before. After travelling the world for a decade, she experienced what some might call rock bottom and returned home to the UK. Abi's story is a reminder that no matter where you go, there you are. Um, from there, I went on to be a qualified personal training group fitness instructor. So, been doing that for about 15 years. And yeah, ultimately, through my life experience, my perspective on what really matters changed. So, I was mainly focusing on, you know, being an elite athlete and it's very, I guess... It has to be very selfish to be an elite. For full transcript and interview: https://180nutrition.com.au/180-tv/ashleigh-feltham-interview/

This is a fascinating story about where untreated alcoholism and mental health will lead you. Abi shares openly about her mental health crisis, going after the "glamorous" party lifestyle in London, trying to find herself during ten years travelling but only finding drugs and alcohol, and finally getting sober during the solitude of the COVID-19 pandemic. Listen to find out what she did to become comfortable in her own skin and accept herself for herself. instagram.com/abi.feltham/ https://www.tiktok.com/@abifeltham? Abi Feltham says it how it is and is very open about her journey from being addicted to alcohol, using drugs, getting sober and dealing with her Borderline Personality Disorder. Her mix of bluntness, humor and vulnerability really shows in this great conversation with Festus. She also dives into her recovery explaining how tough her withdrawal was and how she found a way to finally love herself. You will also learn what it's like to have a Borderline Personality and ways to ease it through therapy and forming positive habits. Oh and don't miss her story about being a groupie back in the day! This week my guest is multimedia artist, poet, and creator John Costi. John and I connected through my brother, as the two of them both went to Uni together at Central St. Martins to study Art. John's life now couldn't be more different compared to how it was growing up in the gang culture of North London, or spending three years in Feltham prison for a series of offences including armed robbery. John talks to me about how art genuinely saved him from that life and how he now creates, communicates and collaborates with others in his own unique way. Find John on Instagram with the handle @bapou_costi and his website is johncostiart.com. -- If you'd like to support Sod's Law you can become a Sod's Law patron at patreon.com/sodspod from as little as £1 /$1 a month - there are different tiers including ad-free episodes, giveaways and more!

On this episode, Lucy explains why she left her successful corporate job for a year to assimilate with some of the least-understood subcultures in Britain. She learned some surprising things about business, like how to find common ground with complete strangers, how we have our own masks we wear in the corporate world, and how to get the most out of life and fight FOMO. Mike Maisey - Author of "YOUNG OFFENDER - My Life From Armed Robber to Local Hero". WOW what a BIG story, what a MASSIVE transformation and TRUE testament to what anyone can achieve. From alcoholism, drug addiction & a life of crime from the age of 12, he went to prison 3 times from 15 years to 18 years to becoming a mentor to men, successful entrepreneur & 11 years sober. Nothing was off limits in this interview, some much honesty and wisdom in a short period. In this episode we discuss: • His background, sexual abuse, alcohol, drugs, attempted suicide and an early life of crime • A major key was forgiveness - needing to understand why he had been abused, having the strength to see that no one is born evil • The importance of striving to surround himself with people more successful than himself in all areas of life • Mike shares his daily practices and why a couple of times a year he STOPS all of it to observe himself, go deep and look into the darkness • When you stop doing the things daily, where do you go back to? What do you need to work on within yourself? What surfaces for you? • Change happens when it becomes painful enough • Understanding Forgiveness is not the end of having negative feelings • Taking 100% responsibility for where you are in life • “Grow or Go” principle and how Relationship Management has been a key factor to success, staying sober and healthy. • Toxic Masculinity - what it is and why we need to redefine masculinity. • Mens retreats - The archetypes of men and Carl Yeung's principles, a brief explanation of what the inflated or deflated warrior is • "YOUNG OFFENDER - My Life From Armed Robber to Local Hero" Mike's new book • His message of “it's Possible” What a powerful interview! Since we recorded Mike's book was launched, he is back in Feltham prison working on programs to rehabilitate and reform prisoners and travelling to promote his book and work as a mens mentor.
