The Freedom Moms Podcast is an incredible resource for parents seeking thought-provoking and action-based content. Although I am not a parent myself, I resonate with the valuable insights shared on this podcast. There is an abundance of gold to be found in each episode, making it a must-listen for any parent looking to navigate the challenges and joys of parenthood in a more mindful and connected way. Crystal, the host, has created a space that offers support and guidance for parents on their journey.

One of the best aspects of The Freedom Moms Podcast is the concept of open connection introduced in episode S02|08. This idea resonates deeply with me as it emphasizes the importance of maintaining strong connections with our children. It's a resource that I wish I had several years ago when I was feeling overwhelmed and stressed as a parent. The message Crystal shares needs to reach more moms out there who are searching for guidance and reassurance that they are not alone in their struggles.

As someone who has experienced parenting children through trauma, I have often felt limited in my ability to implement certain strategies with multiple traumatized children. This podcast provides the missing link by addressing how to effectively implement these concepts with all our children, regardless of their individual experiences. Crystal's teachings have had a profound impact on my family, both through her podcast episodes and her parenting program. Her insights are invaluable.

Crystal presents her ideas in a clear and easy-to-understand manner, making her podcast accessible to all listeners. The strategies she shares are practical and applicable to real-life situations, providing us with tools to become better parents and cultivate stronger connections with our children. Each episode leaves me eagerly anticipating what she will share next.

The authenticity Crystal brings to her podcast is truly engaging. She openly shares her own low points as she searched for answers, which many listeners can relate to. Her story resonates deeply with those who have struggled as parents but also offers hope and inspiration. Crystal is a gift that keeps on giving, and her podcast reflects the transformative impact she has on parents' lives.

In conclusion, The Freedom Moms Podcast is a valuable resource for parents seeking to enhance their parenting journey. Crystal's insights, strategies, and personal experiences make this podcast a must-listen for anyone looking to become more connected, mindful, and compassionate parents. I am grateful for this podcast and highly recommend it to all parents out there.

My healing journey included a ton of books, research, guides, teachers (and time) that all dropped in just when I needed them (less of self-help and more of a community project I guess!). I don't even recognize the self that I was 5 years ago- negative attachment patterns, emotional dysregulation, indecision and overwhelm. But even when I had changed so much of that 2-3 years ago, I was still stuck in “hustle” and tapped out of my own inner wisdom. Time doesn't heal all wounds- but time spent healing, heals. And my favourite reminder before you listen in: Healing is remembering… you aren't broken. You never were. Sometimes the best prize of all isn't a trophy. In a culture where outcome production and tangible results are celebrated, how do we teach our kids to accept all parts of themselves- mistakes, bumps in the road, big emotions, and all? Join this conversation with Chasta Hamilton and me, as we discuss this topic and her new children's book “The Trophy Trap”. Orphaned as a child, Chasta found comfort in the creativity, play, and catharsis of the performing arts. This led to a life as an arts entrepreneur, where she believes that everyone has the power to reach their fullest potential and disrupt the status quo in an empowering and inspiring way. She's a founder and CEO as well as a bestselling author (Trash the Trophies and Handle the Horrible) and speaker (TEDx: “You Weren't Built to Break”). Today you'll hear: How we often teach growth mindset (and other socioemotional skills) in performative and ineffective ways, and how we can change things.Less talk about the “outcome” and more about the process (ie. Allowing failure and discussing it, without the shame). How to create a culture of leaders and changemakers through allowing more vulnerability, authenticity, and celebrating of our children's inner voice. Growing self-awareness in our kids (and letting the next generation of youth change the world for the better). Connect with Chasta:Website: https://www.chastahamilton.com/IG: https://www.instagram.com/chastahamiltonLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/chastahamilton/---Join the re-parenting movement, at my next retreat, The Inward Journey: www.coachcrystal.ca/the-retreatParent School: Discover your own unique path, with confidence… raising emotionally intelligent children that leave your home knowing that you truly, deeply care for them… that you aways have, and you always will. Suicide has deeply impacted my family circle over the years, as it has so many of you around the world. Today I share some ways we can work on preventing suicide in our homes and communities though talking more openly about mental health in clear and frank ways- and become willing to open ourselves up to potentially awkward (but SO important) conversations.  Note: be tender with yourself if this episode is triggering for you, come back to it later if you need to... and KNOW that if someone in your circle has passed away due to suicide that it was NEVER your fault, and when we talk about prevention it's not for situations in the past, but how we can support others in the future. Suicide Hotline US & Canada dial 988---Join the re-parenting movement, at my next retreat, The Inward Journey: www.coachcrystal.ca/the-retreatParent School: Discover your own unique path, with confidence… raising emotionally intelligent children that leave your home knowing that you truly, deeply care for them… that you aways have, and you always will.
