This week on the show host Sara J is joined by guitarist for CO based sextet Eminence Ensemble, Dylan Gleit. In this part one of a massive conversation we take it back to where is all began for Dylan in Long Island, NY the music room in his childhood home, his journey with music that included excelling at recorder in elementary school and eventually gravitating toward guitar. Dylan shares what it's like being a lefty and how that actually helped him learn to play, and how "Reelin' in the Years" by Steely Dan and Jimmy Page are part of the equation that resulted in Dylan getting his first real guitar, a Les Paul. We talk about other musical influences, Suhr guitars and the Jake Blade, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for his insanely creative contribution for Netflix drama thriller Mr. Robot. Then we get all into Eminence Ensemble, their history and Dylan joining the band in 2020.
