PROG.Nº 426.-Comenzamos con el estándar de la semana escuchando el tema “Love Walked In “, hoy con FRANK SINATRA, y esta semana en Jazz en el Recuerdo Aniversario.- Vamos a celebrar dos aniversarios, el primero de ello va ser CLIFFORD BROWN. Clifford Brown (Wilmington, 30 de octubre de 1930 - Pennsylvania, 26 de junio de 1956), trompetista estadounidense de jazz. Fallecido en accidente de tráfico a los 25 años, Brown, no obstante, es una de la figuras más destacables del bebop y delhardbop, a la altura de otros trompetistas como Miles Davis y Dizzy Gillespie. La trompeta de Clifford Brown tiene un fuerte tono cálido, con perceptibles reminiscencias del bop de Fats Navarro, y un maduro sentido de la improvisación: Brown es inventivo tanto en las baladas melódicas como en las más exigentes jam sessions. Lo vamos a celebrar con un concierto Clifford-Brown-Max-Roach-May-1956 Una fecha significativa e histórica del club por una leyenda del jazz, ha ido demasiado pronto antes de su tiempo. Reconocido en primer momento por su considerable talento, de 26 años de edad, Clifford Brown fue bien en su camino de convertirse en uno de los principales luces en Jazz cuando su carrera se vio interrumpida por un trágico accidente de coche en junio de 1956. Jacquet nació en Luisiana, aunque creció en Houston, Texas. Tras tocar con el saxo alto en bandas locales, en 1939, se trasladó a Los Ángeles, California, donde conoció a Nat King Cole. En 1940, Cole presentó a Jacquet a Lionel Hampton, que estaba formando una big band. Fue Hampton quien pidió a Jacquet a que cambiara al saxo tenor. Dejó la banda de Hampton en 1943 para unirse a la orquesta de Cab Calloway, banda que posteriormente aparecerá en la película protagonizada por Lena Horne y Cab Calloway, Stormy Weather. En 1944, volvió a California y formó una grupo con su hermano Russell y Charles Mingus. En esta época también aparece, con Lester Young, en la película Jammin' the Blues, que fue nominada para los Premios Óscar. Asimismo, participó en el primer concierto, ya clásico, de Jazz at the Philharmonic. En 1946, se trasladó a Nueva York para unirse a la orquesta de Count Basie, sustituyendo a Lester Young. Por un lado tenías Bop y por otro lado se tenía jump blues - dos caminos muy diferentes, pero consiguió comenzado desde el mismo lugar. Arnett Cobb - Movin' Right Along (1960) Remastered 2002 De las notas de apertura de "Nitty Gritty", Movin ' derecho a es un cálido, estimulando el conjunto. Grabado en dos días en febrero de 1960, el álbum encuentra Arnett Cobb y unos amigos jugando un juego enérgico y rectilíneo. La única rareza es la presencia de congas de Buck Clarke, que administrar para añadir una capa extra de ritmo, aunque no hay una Latina afina la vista. Hay una buena mezcla entre baladas como "(I Don't Stand) un fantasma de una oportunidad (With You)" y más piezas como "Exactamente como tú." Cobbjugar expresivo destaca más claramente en las piezas más lentas como "Suave, como en un mañana amanecer," permitir suficiente espacio para él a insuflar vida a cada nota. La extraña pieza fuera es "Fast Ride," la melodía solitaria para incluir el pianista Tommy Flanagan y conguero Danny Barrajanos. Puis, l'Inde et Miles Davis nous inspirent avec deux pièces de l'album concept Miles from India (Times Squares, 2008). Et l'on termine avec un peu de bop/soul jazz avec quelques pièces de l'album Movin' Right Along (Prestige, 1960) du saxophoniste Arnett Cobb.

Puis, l'Inde et Miles Davis nous inspirent avec deux pièces de l'album concept Miles from India (Times Squares, 2008). Et l'on termine avec un peu de bop/soul jazz avec quelques pièces de l'album Movin' Right Along (Prestige, 1960) du saxophoniste Arnett Cobb.  

MICHAEL HEYMAN was born in Galveston, Texas and raised in Houston. From 1983-88, Michael fronted a series of blues outfits in the U.S.A. and Europe. As a result of concerts with artists such as Buddy Guy and Junior Wells, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Albert Collins, James Cotton, Eric Burdon, Pat Travers, Alvin Lee, Leslie West, Nick Lowe, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Omar & the Howlers and Marcia Ball, he earned a reputation in both blues and rock circles as an exciting and dynamic blues-rock artist in the long Texas tradition of guitarists fronting blues trios. Other highlights of this period were his associations with blues great Joe "Guitar" Hughes and with noted British musicians Ronnie Lane and Ian McLagan for the highly successful “RONNIE LANE APPEAL FOR A.R.M.S.” concert in 1985. Michael also had the honor of participating in an all-star jazz/blues concert with legendary saxophonist Arnett Cobb and being selected to represent Texas rhythm & blues at the Willie Nelson/Wrangler Jeans Invitational in Austin, Texas. Upon returning to the United States in 1988, Michael retired from performing to spend time with his family. In 2003, Michael returned to the stage fronting a series of blues outfits and eventually purchased a block of studio time. What began as a demo session quickly developed into the sessions for his debut CD. "Heart Full of Blues" features eight original tracks as well as covers of "Three Hours Past Midnight" by Johnny “Guitar” Watson, "My Sweet Little Honey Dripper" by Jimmy “T-99” Nelson and the instrumental guitar showcase "Steppin’ Out" by James Bracken. In addition to guitar artistry reminiscent of the early work of T-Bone Walker, B.B. King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton and Mick Taylor, “Heart Full of Blues” features guest performances by internationally acclaimed harmonica virtuoso Sonny Boy Terry, Houston's First Lady of Soul Trudy Lynn and the incomparable Tommie Lee Bradley.
