What a ride this interview was! The incredibly talented and super fun Julia Coney chats with Trish about her beginnings, her amazing career, and why she's pushing to make wine fun again. Trish met Julia at the July Women in Wine conference and they instantly made a connection - but that's just what Julia does. She's an advocate, a friend, and a confidant. Julia talks about her beloved grandmother, a midwife in the area where she lived, and the incredible story of a woman delivered thousands of babies, mostly to families who didn't have any other options. Julia also talks about her career and the many chapters of her success, before she finally realized one day, she wanted to start writing about wine. She's a wine writer and wine consultant for American Airlines and also founder of Black Wine Professionals. She's also co-host of "Just Getting Better Podcast."

Renelyn Thomas of Makeup by Ren Ren created her Beauty Blog in 2007 to fill a gap in the beauty industry. As an everyday consumer, she could not find products or artists that suited her ethnic roots. She decided to fill this void by creating a blog catering to women of all ethnicities, ages, and walks of life. if you’re the type of person who reads beauty blogs or has an interest in skin care products you might know Nicole Sergeyko from the beauty blog and Instagram account The Gloccult. She’s what you would call an “influencer” in that space, started focusing on building her brand about a year ago and before you know it, she’s amassed thousands of followers on her Instagram, she has brands sending her products to try and review. Of course, Nicole had some growing up to do along the way. She had to learn that mom and dad couldn't keep paying her bills. Eventually, happiness - and success - came in the pursuit of doing what she loves.Music in this episode by Verified Picasso, South London HiFi, and DJ WilliamsDiscover KindleUnlimited from Amazon. Eleanor Pendleton is intimidatingly beautiful, insanely cool and just to top it off, she’s really, really, lovely. She is the brainchild behind the beauty site and online magazine grittypretty.com and has build a cult following amongst beauty lovers. The site is dedicated to all things make up, skin care and hair. It’s a stunning site – make sure you check it out.Elle and I have has similar upbringings in terms of being raised in smaller towns by stay at home mum’s and stable families, but as we know, not everything is always smooth sailing in life. That’s what makes it beautiful. Elle shares her story on her rise to the top and the sacrifices she has had to make along the way to get there. What I love about Eleanor is that she is raw and honest and doesn’t hide behind anything shiny (except for maybe her immaculate skin!)– she is so real about what life looks like. It’s imperfect, it’s messy and she is very aware that everybody is fighting their own silent battles. She has fought her own battles, with confidence and self worth that she was so brave to talk about with me. I never take for granted the exchange that happens when I am chatting with someone. People’s stories are precious and I try to handle them all with care. Eleanor is no exception. She is insanely loveable, so very smart and has a determination to change the world for the better Here is Eleanor Pendleton for Tea with Jules the Podcast.Website: Gritty PrettyInstagram: @eleanorpendleton

Are planuri mari.

Lillian Ahen AKA Flex Mami is a DJ, an MTV host and a content creator... and a social media genius. Having come from a background working in PR to realising that she may as well just use the skills she was applying to working with brands on behalf of influencers for herself, she has launched and continued to reinvent her own career, leveraging off her self-identified USPs and boldly going after the sort of opportunities she once helped create for others. Flex has been that frustrated creative working in a firm and feeling like she wanted more - and what she had forged for herself in only a few years is pretty inspiring. And one of my biggest take-aways is that it’s all about your mindset. This is a great episode for anyone who is looking to build a profile, leverage their skills into income stream by partnering with brands - and more than anything about bracing yourself with the right attitude and self belief to make the most of the myriad opportunities that are out there in this, the wild wild west of influencer marketing.
