James began his own Charlotte, NC accounting firm after the tax returns he was doing for his friends turned into referrals, and those referrals turned into lucrative clients. Soon after, the money he was earning from his side-hustle was surpassing his 9-5 corporate job salary. That's when he buckled down and focused solely on building his own business. James chats with Matt about some of the obstacles he faced along the way, and offers advice to those who are thinking about branching out on their own entrepreneurial journey.
