Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN, OTCQB:ANSNF) executive chairman and CEO Bruce Richardson sits down with Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss the company's coming collaboration with Koch Technology Solutions (KTS) to commission a Li-Pro™ lithium selective sorption (LSS) pilot unit at the Green River Lithium Project in Utah, USA. The pilot unit, scheduled to begin production next month, will provide essential data for a potential full-scale Li-Pro™ unit. The pilot project is jointly funded by Anson Resources and KTS, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, under a cost-sharing framework involving a KTS investment via a convertible note. KTS completed a treatability study in May 2024 using Green River brine, showing superior results in lithium recovery and element rejection compared to Anson's definitive feasibility study. The pilot unit will operate continuously for two to four months, processing fresh brine from the Bosydaba#1 well into lithium chloride for potential battery-grade lithium carbonate production. This unit supplements Anson's existing sample demonstration plant at Green River. Concurrent testing of two direct lithium extraction technologies will be conducted using brine from Bosydaba#1. Richardson highlighted the project's acceleration and reduced risk due to KTS's advanced technology. KTS commercial director Martin Rizo emphasised the potential of Green River to become a key US domestic battery-grade lithium carbonate project. The KTS Li-Pro™ process is already operational in North America, including a commercial-scale plant in Arkansas. #ProactiveInvestors #AnsonResources #ASX #OTCQB #KochTechnologySolutions #LithiumExtraction #GreenRiverProject #LiPro #LithiumSorption #PilotUnit #BatteryGradeLithium #USLithiumSupply #LithiumCarbonate #BosydabaWell #DLETechnology #CommercialProduction #TreatabilityStudy #LithiumRecovery #Capex #Opex #EnvironmentalCredentials #DomesticSupply #BatteryMaterials #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
Anson Resources Limited (ASX: ASN) executive chairman Bruce Richardson sits down with Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss the identification of high-grade gallium and barium mineralisation in conjunction with zinc, lead, copper and silver from historic drilling programs. The findings were identified through a review of records from historic lead mining in the area. The Mary Springs exploration program did not assay for indium or germanium, which have since been discovered at the Surprise and Ethel Maude prospects. The WACHEM dataset from the Government of Western Australia indicated gallium and barium assays across the Ajana Project area, corroborating drilling results that suggest numerous critical mineral deposits. Recent drilling programs by Anson have returned high-grade zinc, lead and silver values along with significant gallium, indium and germanium. Notably, gallium was found in all 26 drilled holes, with a concentration of up to 34.4 g/t. Additionally, the Chequers prospect has been identified as a third gallium-rich location. This prospect, between Mary Springs and Surprise, shows grades of 23 g/t gallium and 419 g/t barium from surface to 46 metres. The assay results suggest an extensive area of critical mineralisation, potentially over an 8-kilometre strike length. The original VTEM geophysical survey identified several zinc-lead-silver drill targets, indicating the potential for extensive or multiple mineral pods similar to Mary Springs. These findings are being used to plan follow-up drilling programs. Richardson, noted the significance of these discoveries for Anson's prospects without additional investment in soil geochemical test work and drilling. He emphasised the potential to develop a mine producing lead, zinc, silver, barium, gallium, germanium and indium, which are crucial for modern technologies. The company aims to further develop the Ajana Project alongside its primary focus on lithium in Utah, USA. #ProactiveInvestors #AnsonResources #ASX #MineralDiscovery #Gallium #Barium #Zinc #Lead #Silver #Copper #Indium #Germanium #AjanaProject #CriticalMinerals #Mining #GeochemicalMapping #VTEMSurvey #BruceRichardson #Exploration #Mineralisation #ASX #MiningIndustry #ResourceDevelopment #Australia #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

This week on Flightless Bird, David Farrier sets out to discover why America is yet to fully embrace the electric kettle. Why does America insist on the stovetop kettle when it could be boiling its water so much faster? To find out, David talks to Bruce Richardson, a tea master who founded Elmwood Inn Fine Teas in Kentucky, and wrote a book called “The New Tea Companion.” Bruce is a man obsessed with the correct boiling point of water, whose worst enemy is the microwave. Richardson teaches David about the shady events of 1773, in which a bunch of costumed protestors threw British tea into the ocean in a case of tea treason. Could these events still be felt today in America's rejection of the British invention of the electric kettle? Or is it a voltage issue? Tony Gebely, author of “The Philosophy of Tea: A User's Guide” has some of his own theories - theories which lead the creator of America's premiere electric kettle brand, Fellow. Jake Miller prefers his boiling water on coffee, not tea - and he argues (somewhat in jest) that the electric kettle could have a massive impact on America's GDP.

HEAR THE HEADLINES – Draft Tea Act Redefines India's Tea Board Mission | A Global Tea Harvest Review, a TEAIN22 Forecast | BOH Malaysia Named Tea Brand of the Year| NEWSMAKER – Jason McDonald, tea farmer and founder/CEO of The Great Mississippi Tea Company| GUEST – Kyle Whittington, founder Tea Book Club| FEATURES – This week, Tea Biz travels to the state of Mississippi, where tea farmer and founder/CEO Jason McDonald of The Great Mississippi Tea Company discusses the economics of mechanical harvesting following a two-year trial of selective harvesting equipment. Then to London, where Tea Book Club founder Kyle Whittington offers a modern take on the century-old classic The Book of Tea, published in 1906 by Okakura Kakuzō with an introduction rich in detail and context by Bruce Richardson. The Economics of Small Scale Mechanization –Inspired by The Charleston Tea Plantation in South Carolina, Jason McDonald decided to plant a tea garden amid the timber on his 289-acre farm in Lincoln County, Mississippi, where a combination of high heat, humidity, acidic soil, and ample rainfall is ideally suited to tea. In 2012 McDonald planted a test plot, making his first tea in 2015. In 2018 the tea garden produced sufficient quantities to begin selling to the public. McDonald has since diligently researched all aspects of the industry, enlisting horticultural, sustainability, manufacturing, and machine professionals to develop harvesting and automated tea processing equipment at scale. During the past two years, the farm conducted field trials with a selective mechanical harvester to produce 250 to 350 kilos of made tea annually. McDonald shares cost savings, a boost in yield, and leaves suitable for making specialty and mid-grade teas with readers. The Book of Tea, a review by Kyle Whittington –For a book that is well over a century old, The Book of Tea remains a classic and a book that is well worth re-reading from time to time. There are so many editions out there, variously with introductions by tea aficionados, scholars, and masters of the last hundred plus years. Some editions are particularly aesthetically pleasing to add to the tea bookshelf. However, the edition I always recommend is the one with the introduction by Bruce Richardson. Bruce's exceptionally well-researched introduction into the life and times of Okakura is fascinating and helps to contextualize The Book of Tea. Additionally, the fantastic photos and illustrations help bring both the book and Okakura's period of history to life.

We're getting a bit contemplative this time of year here at Talking Tea, as the weather turns cooler and our bodies and minds begin to turn inward. So this December we're offering two episodes exploring the spirit of tea as reflected in chado, the Japanese way of tea. To kick off this two-part series we're looking at the life, work and influence of Kakuzo Okakura, best known for his modern classic The Book of Tea. As some of you may know, Talking Tea host Ken Cohen narrated and produced an audiobook edition of Okakura's The Book of Tea in 2015. Today Ken is chatting via Skype with Bruce Richardson, of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas and its publishing arm Benjamin Press. Bruce wrote and published an extensive and scholarly intro to the print version of The Book of Tea, and Bruce shares a bit of his own tea journey with us and tells us how he was first drawn to this text. We discuss Okakura's early life in Japan and his exposure to the West, the origins of The Book of Tea and its connection with Okakura's work at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and Okakura's influence on iconic American art collector Isabella Stewart Gardner, American artist Georgia O'Keefe and the design principles of Frank Lloyd Wright. Bruce chats with Ken about Okakura's perspectives on the connections between tea, art, and Zen, and Bruce shares his own perspectives, influenced by Okakura, on tea as an adventure and a creative path, on the importance of the space within and why the way of tea is the way of life. Bruce Richardson's illustrated print edition of The Book of Tea, with his introduction, is available through Elmwood Inn Fine Teas or though Amazon. Ken Cohen's audiobook edition of The Book of Tea, published by Spoken Realms, is available at Audible.com , Amazon and iTunes. Talking Tea is produced and hosted by Ken Cohen.
