Argentina Lithium CEO Nikolaos Cacos joined Steve Darling from Proactive to unveil the company's first-ever Mineral Resource estimate for its Rincon West lithium brine project located in Salta Province, Argentina—a key step forward in advancing the company's lithium portfolio within the heart of the “Lithium Triangle.” The inaugural resource estimate, completed for the West Block properties—including the Villanoveño II and Rinconcita II mining concessions covering 2,931 hectares—marks a significant milestone for Argentina Lithium. The estimate excludes the Paso de Sico concessions to the north, which add another 3,742.9 hectares of prospective ground at the Rincon Salar, representing future upside for the project. The resource was defined through 14 exploration boreholes totaling 4,823.2 metres of diamond drilling and one production well extending 470 metres. Based on this work, the company reports: Measured and Indicated Resources: 0.15 km³ of brine averaging 296 mg/L lithium, equivalent to 238,000 tonnes of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE). Inferred Resources: 0.08 km³ of brine averaging 216 mg/L lithium, equivalent to 64,000 tonnes of LCE. Cacos emphasized that the results demonstrate Rincon West's potential as a scalable, high-quality lithium asset within one of the world's most prolific brine districts. “This maiden resource lays a solid foundation for our next phase of development as we work toward building a sustainable, high-value lithium operation capable of generating long-term returns,” he said. As the company moves ahead with Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) studies and evaluates advanced direct lithium extraction (DLE) technologies, exploration teams will also target deeper drilling below the current resource boundary—where geologic data indicates open mineralization at depth and significant room for expansion. Empire Metals Ltd (AIM:EEE, OTCQX:EPMLF) managing director Shaun Bunn talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's latest milestone — the maiden resource estimate (MRE) for its Pitfield project in Western Australia, which confirms it as one of the largest titanium discoveries globally. Bunn emphasised the scale of the project, describing Pitfield as a “giant titanium mineral system” with district-scale potential and strong continuity of grades. The MRE outlines 2.2 billion tonnes of ore containing 113 million tonnes of titanium dioxide, placing the project among the largest ever reported in the titanium sector. A key highlight of the conversation was the unique mineralogy of the orebody, which does not contain ilmenite. “We don't have to go down a very expensive polluting process in order to get to a titanium dioxide pigment or metal product,” Bunn said. This gives the company what he called an “enormous competitive advantage” over the majority of the global titanium supply chain. He also discussed the company's focus on the weathered cap zones at the Thomas and Cosgrave targets, which host high-grade cores at surface. Auslöser für seinen weitgefächerten Heuhandel war die schlechteHeuqualität 2017 (ähnlich wie 2024): viel Regen, Schimmel, hustende Pferde trotz behandelter Sportverletzungen. Die Suche nach schimmelfreiem Futter für sein Reha-StartUp für Sportverletzungen  bei Bochum führte ihn in die Bretagne – zu salzhaltigen Wiesen („Marine-Heu“), wo er sich jetzt auch noch in eine Entstaubungsanlage hingestellt hat und sein  HD-gepressten Ballen palettenweise von Spanienbis in den DACH-Raum verschickt. Das große Problem beim Heu sei: Man hat die Wahl zwischen Zucker und  Schimmel, der auch für die Besitzer gefährlich ist. Düngung kann Schimmel verringern, erhöht aber oft denZuckergehalt. Technische Trocknung liefert optisch schönes, aber „sonnenarmes“ Heu (weniger Vitamine/Biss). Zentrales Thema ist die Restfeuchte: Laut Gast entsteht Lagerschimmel ab rund zehn Prozent.  Viele heimische Bestände würden jedoch mit zwölf bis 15 Prozent eingelagert – das riecht man zunächst kaum, Probleme zeigen sich oft erst im Winterlager.Der Zucker- bzw. Fruktangehalt hängen davon ab, inwieweit das Wetter die Pflanze stresst: Pflanzen reagieren Dauerregen oder extreme Trockenheit mit höheren Fruktanwerten. Übliche Bereiche lägen laut AUF TRAB-Gast bei 2,5 bis drei Prozent, in sehr trockenen Frühjahren wurden teils sieben bis acht Prozent gemessen. Das kann für empfindliche Pferde mit Stoffwechselproblemen oder Hufrehe gesundheitsgefährdendsein. Und was kostet so sein Marine-Heu aus der Bretagne? Rund 390 Euro je Tonne frei Hof im Raum Wien. In Deutschland sei der Preis  tendenziell günstiger, in der  Schweiz teurer wegen dem Zoll. Bei regelmäßiger Fütterung (bei nicht gemeinsamer Lagerung mit anderem Heu) habe man weniger Husten festgestellt und sogar bis zu 20 Prozent weniger Heuverbrauch, weil die Pferde nur so viel fressen, wie sie Nährstoffe und Mineralien brauchen und davon sei viel in seinem Heu drin. Wall St continued its slide overnight, with all 3 of the major indices closing in the red for the second straight day. Investors continue to pull back from the AI industry with Nvidia sliding 1% and Oracle nearly 2%, as concerns about overvaluation persist. The broader market closed down 0.28%, the Dow Jones fell 0.37%, and the Nasdaq ended the session down 0.34%, as the AI slide was countered by a nearly 6% surge for Intel, after Bloomberg reported the chipmaker is seeking an investment from Apple.Europe saw a mixed session overnight – the UK's FTSE and German DAX both saw overnight gains or 0.29% and 0.23% respectively, while the French CAC fell over half a percent, and the broader STOXX 600 closed down 0.19%.Locally yesterday, the ASX saw its worst trading day in 3 weeks, ending the session with a 0.92% decline. A large catalyst for the drop was ABS report that consumer prices rose 3.0% in the year to August, which was higher than economists had predicted – indicating that inflation remains sticky.  9 of the 11 major sectors closed lower, with only energy and utilities seeing gains, largely driven by a rise in oil prices. The financial sector took the biggest hit, especially the big 4 banks, which all slid between 1.5% and 3% on the day. What to watch today: Looking ahead to today, the SPI futures indicate the ASX continue to slide, predicting a 0.47% drop at the open.In commodities, Crude Oil is trading up 2.09% at 64 US dollars and 73 cents per barrel after Donald Trump ramped up his hawkish rhetoric against Russia, sparking concerns about supply limitations.Gold is trading down 0.62% at 3740 US dollars per ounce, and Iron or is trading flat at $105.50 per Tonne.Trading ideas:Bell Potter has maintained its buy rating on Regal Partners (ASX:RPL) and increased the target price from $3.55 per share to $4.10 per share, off the back of a report that the company's end of August funds under management (FUM) reached $19.2billion, which beat forecasts.Trading Central have identified a bearish signal in Champion Iron (ASX:CIA), indicating that the stock price may fall from the close of $4.59 per share to the range of $3.30 to $3.50 per share over a period of 101 days, according to the standard principles of technical analysis.

Comment raconter Gaza alors que l'enclave palestinienne reste fermée aux reporters étrangers et que le nombre de journalistes palestiniens tués dépasse désormais les 200, selon le syndicat des journalistes palestiniens ? Une tâche d'autant plus compliquée en Israël, qui semble rester bloqué au 7-Octobre. Un média détonne pourtant dans le paysage médiatique israélien, il s'agit du site d'information « +972 ». Il rassemble une vingtaine de journalistes israéliens et palestiniens, unis pour raconter au mieux l'actualité de cette terre qu'ils ont en partage. Du journalisme « from the river to the sea » comme ils aiment à dire. Depuis le 7-Octobre, l'affluence explose. De 20 000 lecteurs avant la guerre, les rédacteurs en chef du site d'information +972 disent être passés à 120 000 visiteurs par mois, avec des pics pouvant atteindre plus d'un million sur certaines enquêtes. Alors, à quoi ressemble le quotidien de cette rédaction mixte ? Est-ce un laboratoire ? Ou une utopie ? Amira Souilem est allée à la rencontre des équipes en Israël, mais aussi en Cisjordanie occupée.Ce soir encore à Tel Aviv, des centaines d'Israéliens manifestent pour demander la fin de la guerre à Gaza. Des photos d'enfants gazaouis à la main, ils espèrent créer un électrochoc dans l'opinion publique. Dans la foule, caché derrière son objectif, Oren Ziv, journaliste israélien : « La première semaine de la guerre, juste après le 7 octobre, le chef de la police a dit aux manifestants que si certains voulaient manifester en solidarité avec Gaza, il pouvait affréter des bus pour les envoyer là-bas. On n'a jamais vu autant de cruauté. On est tous encore traumatisés par ce qui se passe. On ne s'en remet pas encore. Je crois que la seule solution, c'est d'avoir un État, un État binational où Palestiniens comme Israéliens juifs vivent ensemble. Je sais que ça a l'air d'un rêve en ce moment, mais c'est dans cet endroit que j'aimerais que mes enfants vivent ». Le rêve de liberté pour tous semble bien loin pour le moment. À une centaine de kilomètres de là, en Cisjordanie occupée, Basel Adra est l'un des reporters palestiniens du site d'information. En mars dernier, il a remporté à Hollywood l'Oscar du meilleur documentaire pour son film No Other Land. Il y racontait le quotidien de son village soumis à la violence des colons israéliens. Parce qu'il travaille avec des Israéliens, le jeune homme a essuyé des critiques de la part de certains de ses compatriotes. Il tente de passer outre ces remarques qu'il juge déconnectées des réalités et binaires : « Hier, des activistes israéliens ont reçu des coups de la part de colons et la police n'a rien fait pour les protéger alors qu'ils sont Israéliens. And now another one of them is threatening disaster, as a shadow fleet vessel carrying 100,000 tonnes of oil breaks down and is adrift in heavy seas off Germany's northern coast. The Eventin was sailing from Russia to Egypt with 100,000 tonnes of oil when its engine failed and it lost ability to manoeuvre. Three tugs are now attempting to steer it away from the coast and towards a safer area. Though if the vessel breaks up, there is no safe area for 100,000 tonnes of oil to dissipate. As the vessel drifted in coastal waters Friday, the foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, criticised Russia's use of “dilapidated oil tankers” to avoid sanctions on its oil exports, calling it a threat to European security. Russia has used murky ships for oil exports to circumvent sanctions imposed by Western nations for waging its brutal war against Ukraine. ---------- At relatively short notice, we're organising two events in Ukraine in the last week of January.
