We'll explore the courage it takes to let go of control, embrace uncertainty, and trust the process—even when the water feels icy and the path unclear. Tune in and be reminded: sometimes you have to step into the discomfort to find the warmest part of yourself. This week on Dreamvisions7Radio Network! BIO: Linda Townsend, Founder of Release Well-Being Center, had a dream – to bring together the many facets of holistic wellness in one location to meet a growing and unfulfilled need. Linda draws on her extensive background in the corporate environment, as well as her wellness knowledge and experience, to create an ideal “sanctuary” and community where individuals of any age and fitness level can find balance, purpose and well-being. She graduated as Valedictorian when she received her MBA from Northeastern University, has a BA in Journalism from Northeastern University and later received a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from William James College. Linda started her career as an investigative newspaper and television journalist, then a marketing and sales executive for several high-tech companies. Trying to balance her career while raising three young children, she became attuned to the importance of consistent self-care (you must put on your own oxygen mask first before you can help others!), which led her to become a certified yoga instructor in 2007 and then an executive and life coach. Linda connected with a team of wellness experts to realize and expand her dream for Release Well-Being Center. Release opened in Westborough in 2017 and in Back Bay in 2024. Do you ever wish you could just escape the chaos and step into a space designed for pure relaxation? At Release Well-Being Center we offer a serene sanctuary where you can recharge your mind, recover your body and reconnect with yourself. Whether you choose holistic healing therapies, spa treatments or mindful movement, you will experience the ultimate reset at Release Well-Being Center. About the book- Red Storm Rising  Audible Audiobook – Unabridged Tom Clancy (Author) When Muslim fundamentalists blow up a key Soviet oil complex, making an already critical oil shortage calamitous, the Russians figure they are going to have to take things into their own hands. They plan to seize the Persian Gulf, and more ambitiously, to neutralize NATO. Thus begins Red Storm, an audacious gamble that uses diplomatic maneuver to cloak a crash military build-up. When Soviet tanks begin to roll, the West is caught off guard. What looks like a thrust turns into an all-out shooting war, possibly the climactic battle for control of the globe.

Our guest today on the Outdoor Adventure Series is Matthew Dickerson.Mathew is a Writer and Trout and Fly Fishing Enthusiast. He is the manager, editor, and feature writer for Trout Downstream. He is a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America (and has served on the OWAA board of directors since 2021). He is the author of numerous books about trout, fly-fishing, rivers & ecology. And in his spare time, he is a professor at Middlebury College in Vermont.Aha MomentAny time I hear from a reader that tells me my writing has had a meaningful impact on them.—especially if my writing has impacted how they think and, therefore, how they live, or perhaps simply has brought them delight through good writing and a story well told.Insight2GoTreat people kindly when you meet them—especially when you are doing some outdoor activity like fishing, hiking, or camping.    If (like me) you enjoy fly fishing, make a point of giving away a fly or a useful piece of information (or both) to the next person you meet on the river (instead of being grumpy that they are there).  It will make it a better day for both of you.If you are frustrated by the increasing number of people on the trails or rivers and you are tempted to complain about the crowds, remember that you are part of the crowds. Kind of like driving and getting frustrated by the “traffic” as though only other people were in the traffic; you have to remember that YOU are part of the traffic. The same goes for outdoor activities.Recent Books by Matthew DickersonA Fine-Spotted Trout on Corral Creek: On the Cutthroat Competition of Native Trout in the Northern Rockies. They are, of course, completely wrong, although some of these films are pretty good. A couple of them should never have been on the list in the first place, and more importantly they left at least two of the GREATEST completely off their list. It's like SlashFilms isn't qualified and certainly isn't an expert, like the Sub Vets! USS Delaware is being commissioned this weekend, Dave is still playing Cold Waters, and the Sub Vets opine in an highly UNCLASSIFIED manner about how the Russians might be hiding their boomers. In this episode of The Sustainable Angler, I had the pleasure to interview Conservation Hawks President and Founder Todd Tanner. When I was first starting out with Emerger Strategies I was introduced to Todd and we had multiple calls and I am grateful for Todd's support of Emerger Strategies and guidance over the years, and also for his films, Cold Waters, Chrome, Convergence and In the Heart of the Rockies. As I worked to piece together how to marry fly fishing and sustainability over the years, Conservation Hawks and Todd's films were, and still are, a true inspiration, so thank you! Anyways, in this episode we talk about how Todd went from being a fishing guide on the Henry's Fork to a full-time writer to founding Conservation Hawks and his latest project, School of Trout. We also discuss how climate change is impacting our fisheries and the sport we love, what you can do to act on climate and a little fishing. Hope you enjoy! Special thanks to Todd Tanner for the interview & inspiration, and thanks to our sponsor OluKai for sponsoring this episode of The Sustainable Angler podcast, which is available on iTunes, Soundcloud, Spotify, iHeartRadio, or wherever you listen to podcasts.

It's really hot - but the water is way too cold. Turn to the podcast for some relief. We discuss graduation season in Stockholm which brings out white hats and boozy trucks. The Vasa is still getting older... Hot tip - don't pay for water there. Also, Sean explains why Volvo is more Swedish than IKEA. Happy National Day!

Debbie Herbert's book, Cold Waters, was #1 in all of Amazon this last month. That's why I'm rereleasing the interview I did with her last year, and have already scheduled another interview to get the scoop on her recent success. Debbie has this gentle & incredibly informative style... plus she's got a lovely Southern accent. In our conversation she shares how she became a traditionally published author and how she actually really enjoys the freedom of indie publishing. Here are just a few of the things we touched on: You can view the shownotes at https://authorlikeaboss.com/episode54

Ah, the news. Mostly bad, a little bit good. Such is fate in these hobbies. Pinball: We open with a few quick news items (Heighway Pinball and their maybe-shipping Alien pins, some Skit-B legal updating, and Spooky Pinball's art on the upcoming Alice Cooper pin), and then go into the more meaty topics. The big one is John Popadiuk (JPop) being tied to deeproot Pinball, LLC. From there, we discuss the response seen in the pinball community following Homepin's reveal in an interview with Head2Head Pinball Podcast that end users won't be able to apply software updates to Thunderbirds directly (and a related discussion that Homepin's board takes from the PinHeck design Spooky Pinball uses but without giving credit). Finally, we move into Round 2 of our 2017 System 11 Tournament! Video Games: We talk fallout of PUBG vs. Fortnite (with PUBG accusing the latter of replicating their Battle Royale PvP model). After that, Dennis disses Dishonored 2 and Tony summarizes a mod for Cold Waters he's been trying out. After that is the Dragon Ball FighterZ beta (Dennis played it, Tony watched footage from it). Finally, Dennis talks a bit about Zaccaria Pinball (as he finally bought the table pack off Steam and gave it a proper go). Don (formerly of The Pinball Podcast and The Link Cable Podcast) joins Tony and Dennis once more, to talk all about pinball and video games. Pinball: The segment opens with an interview Dennis conducted with Terry of Pinball Life (mostly on Pinball Life as a company, but there is a bit about Terry's efforts on the ScoreGasm Master project). From there, Don, Dennis, and Tony turn to the somber topic of famed pinball designer John Trudeau's arrest on child pornography charges. The pinball segment ends with a follow-up on last episode's "Is Pinball Too Expensive" topic, due to listener feedback, with a focus on new machines at lower price points from Homepin and Multimorphic's P3 platform. Video Games: No Overwatch (there's a lot of upcoming news, but Don forbids Overwatch talk!). Instead, the guys tackle Mass Effect: Andromeda, Iron Cast, Cold Waters, Sonic Mania, Agents of Mayhem, Sniper Elite 4, Miracle Merchant, and No Man's Sky. Pinball: Tony and Dennis start off with the results of their ranking poll on best modern era billiards-themed pinball machines. From there, it's some rapid fire news from Stern Pinball (an update on their manuals' ghosting clause, a KISS code update, and a new Marketing Director). After that, a brief discussion of Stern's Star Wars Premium pinball, as streamed by DEAD FLIP. The segment closes with a deep thoughts level of discussion on a major question coming up lately, "Is pinball too expensive?" Video Games: Discussion starts off with the controversial decision to embed loot boxes into the upcoming Middle Earth: Shadow of War. From there, a discussion of Overwatch's Summer Games, with a specific focus on Lucioball. Tony then rigs for silent running in a discussion of the finally-acquired Cold Waters. Dennis and Tony then share their experiences with The Jackbox Party Pack 2 (in which they played all the games in a group setting full of crazy nonsense!). So many games, so many discussions! Pinball: Dennis and Tony cover Stern Pinball's manual indicating ghosting on inserts is normal, the finalized details of Spooky Pinball's Total Nuclear Annihilation, Dennis' acquisition of Sharkey's Shootout, a ranking poll the guys are running on the best billiards-themed pinball machine (solid state and later only), and they end the segment with more thoughts on Star Wars. Video Games: A few games are up for discussion this time. Tony starts off with Navalia. After that, there's a bit more on Overwatch's new character Doomfist, followed by Dishonored 2, Reigns, Crypt of the Necrodancer, and Jotun. Tony also brings up Battlestar Galactica Deadlock and Cold Waters. Tabletop: Tony and Dennis got a chance to play the Munchkin card game, and so now they talk about it (amazing)! Tony also provides an update on Planet Mercenaries and Threadbare RPG.
