Hey everyone! We had to do an episode on the 2020 live-action remake of Mulan as our Recent Review. We were obligated to, per the imaginary contract we have with our future selves. It's complicated. But first! We cover news about David Fincher's latest movie, Venture Bros. being canceled, and Robert Pattinson catching the 'Rona. We cover Lovecraft Country's latest episode, "A History of Violence", in our A Trip Down Lovecraft Lane segment, and hot damn it was an interesting one. Lastly, our Geriatric Cinematic is one of the greatest Kung Fu films ever, Come Drink With Me. We implore you to watch it so you can breakdown the classic Shaw Bros. movie with us. Next week is a journey through WTF moments and horrible relationships.   Our Recent Review will be Netflix's I'm Thinking of Ending Things and we'll see if we can figure what the hell is going on in Charlie Kaufman's latest film. If that's not enough weirdness, we got Harold and Maude for our Geriatric Cinematic. It's the year 2020, and most indubitably the most heinous year of our lives. But we have to be excellent to each other, even in these times. One way is to watch films. We cover the latest Lovecraft Country episode, Holy Ghost, in the segment we like to call A Trip Down Lovecraft Lane. In the news, we talk about Tenet and one of the worst things to happen this year, the death of Chadwick Boseman.   Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure is our Geriatric Cinematic and pit that up against Bill & Ted Face the Music for the Recent Review portion of this week's show. We hope you have a most triumphant time listening to us. We always do putting the show on for you! In next week's episode, we'll be discussing Disney's live-action movie, Mulan, for our Recent Review--which you can find on Disney--and we'll see if 1966's Come Drink With Me still holds up. Yeah, you thought we were going to watch 1998's Mulan for our Geriatric Cinematic but we like to keep you guessing.
