Also, Chasta took her son Cody to see Santa Claus and finding out he was once an Elvis impersonator. Plus, they breakdown the latest iPhone iOS update. Lastly, on "Huey Help" they read two listener's emails, the first asking for advice if her daughter should spend the holidays with her father's extended family for the first time. Marcus also talks about his time playing in the League of Ireland, how it compares to English football and what made him originally make the move. Brendan Paul co-owns the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, which claims to be the site of the world's first Elvis-themed wedding. Dressed in sparkly jumpsuits, Brendan marries sometimes as many as 75 people a day—in back to back 15-minute appointments. But while his portrayal of Elvis is generally a jovialone, his view on The King's life isn't entirely one of reverence. "That loneliness, that despair, that unsatisfied inside," he told me about Elvis near the end of his life. "A lot people go, 'I bet you wish you were Elvis,' and I always go, 'Not really.'" Who says women can't do whatever they want whenever they want and make a huge difference in people's lives? You can even be a world-renowned female Elvis impersonator! Imagine getting your master's in music after being a music and dance instructor, author, and motivational speaker and ramping it up to a new level to front your son's rock band at the age of 57! Joan Minnery did just that. She got North American acclaim as a female Elvis impersonator and has never stopped. Her motto is Sing it loud, sing it proud – whatever it takes! Joan describes herself as a pint-sized blonde glitter Dolly Parton. Her son's award-winning band is called SIVLE which is Elvis spelled backwards. They play everything from the 50s to current-day rock along with Southern Rock and original music. In addition to Elvis, Joan can also sing like Bette Midler or Janis Joplin. Yeah, you read that right. Business CAN and SHOULD be fun, and in today's episode, Priscilla and Lauren are teaching you how exactly to do that. Gone are the days of showing up in a button-down shirt with a blazer, which don't get us wrong we love a good blazer moment, and it's all about showing up in whatever is going to allow you to feel like the most authentic version of yourself. It's all about balance. If you get to show up every day doing something you love AND make money on top of it - that's a win in our book. The beauty of today is you can create a business out of just about anything. Maybe it's being an Elvis Impersonator like Priscilla's dad did, or contrary to Lauren you may love kids retail and want to make a career out of it. Whatever it is - it is beyond possible to turn that passion into a business. When you love what you do, and the people around you love what they do too, you are already on the path towards your next big move. Award winning Director (Tim Travers & the Time Traveler's Paradox), writer, producer, actor, illustrator, PNW person, and ten-year veteran of the indie scene, Stimson Snead (Mr. Snead appears courtesy of Skyline Wine) prepares for inevitable bed sores as we tuck in for his choice "Bubba Ho-Tep" (2003 ((wide)) Dir. Don Coscarelli) Starring: Bruce Campbell, and Ossie Davis. You should be sold by the title of this movie alone, but if on top of that, the plot didn't sell you (I weep), we go DEEP into the annals of the past, present, and future, to uncover the secrets of this not often seen horror/comedy. We spend time examining the social impact and nuance of "The Minions," franchise. We take a look at the incredible Bruce Campbell oeuvre. And we make a case for "Dorff Lundgren" as Elvis, based on his look as the original Frank Castle for the screen alone.Plot: When residents of their nursing home start dying of dubious causes, an aged Elvis and an African-American senior who claims to be President John F. Surrounded by nothing but wild open scrub land, eight miles of virgin beach and a rich array of wildlife, the twenty-something residents of Boca Chica live in peace and disconnection. Away from the noise of the modern World. It was that peace and disconnection that Maria Pointer, AKA Boca Chica Maria, and her husband Ray sought when they made their plans to settle down and retire in Boca Chica. But dreams of a quiet retirement are to be thrown out the window when new neighbours SpaceX move into town, right outside their bedroom window. In this episode, some of the team behind the new app Cerca take a very special look at one of the most important journeys we may ever take via a quiet town in the South of Texas. A town which has become the launch pad to new possibilities and discovery for the human race. The launch pad to Mars. Cerca is a brand new app devoted to helping you take the best trips of your life. It starts with Cerca Guides - immersive, podcasts all about some of the most amazing places in the world written by locals who really know their cities. Right now, you can listen to guides to London, Barcelona, Iceland, Paris, Los Angeles and more. But you don't just listen to guides. With maps and info on all the places they recommend you can use Cerca to plan the trip of a lifetime. And now Cerca has launched a new service that will change the way you travel - the Cerca Concierge. Do you have a question about somewhere you'd like to go? In the Cerca app you can message with a local concierge who is on the ground and can give you up-to-date, truly authentic advice. Where to go for Thai food with an Elvis Impersonator show in LA? The best place to see the Northern Lights in Iceland? How to keep your kids entertained in Barcelona while enjoying a perfect late afternoon cocktail? You've got questions. Maybe a lot of questions. Cerca's got answers. And if all that wasn't enough, you also get some of the best travel podcasts from publishers like AFAR and Pushkin - and me - all in one place. You can start using CERCA - including Cerca concierge - for free right now. Just download CERCA from the app store and connect with us. A story from more recent history. This week, we look at the insane story of Kevin Curtis, an Elvis Impersonator/janitor/ conspiracy theorist; and Everett Dutschke: a martial artist/insurance salesman/MENSA member. Two men locked in a battle that would eventually lead to an attempt on then President Barack Obama's life. It's as insane as it sounds. "Hi Sandman I have a question for you. Why not use the enemy's weapon, hypergamy, against them? My plan is to find a woman with many times more net worth than myself and marry her. If all goes well, I stay.. or else I get divorced and well compensated for my trouble. Is there anything wrong with my logic? Thanks for your work!" Well, thanks for your question Howard. First of all hypergamy isn't really a weapon. It's more like a subconscious drive to find a man with resources or status. Remember hypergamy isn't always about money either. What you have to question is the motives of this unicorn of a woman with high net worth. Have you met a woman like this? Has she shown interest in you? Until you find her and start talking to her this is all a bunch of hypothetical mumbo jumbo. As if by some crazy chance lately I'm been thinking the same thing to a certain extent. And I've been talking to someone over the last few weeks that probably fits the bill of the person you're looking for. She most likely makes double the income that I do but I'm pretty sure her net worth isn't near mine. But she's the same age as me, thirty six and probably wants to focus on having a family, perhaps even tomorrow. She might have baby rabies and is doing a good job hiding that fact. Also she's from Asia and she's not white. So I'm the big white devil that potentially brings status to her as she's embracing the western way of life. And the fact that she's worked her way up the corporate ranks and navigated her way through the land of the cocky alpha male means that if she has any character flaws she probably knows how to cover them really well. Howard, if you meet a woman that makes a lot of money at a high paying career chances are she knows how to hide her character flaws very well. Also you have to think rationally. Why would a woman like that go after you? If you're an ordinary average male it probably won't happen. The only men I've seen successfully get women way above their financial status are men the can woe a woman. One guy is an Elvis Impersonator and the other is a Tom Jones Impersonator. They are both successful with women because they have their swagger down.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/mgtow/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Recently, my husband and I took his parents to a concert. Though I was glad to spend time with them, I was not looking forward to seeing another Elvis Presley impersonator. What I experienced at the concert was something completely unexpected so I thought I'd share it with you on today's show.
