DESCRIPTION Biblical leadership and spiritual warfare were never meant to be separated. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture repeatedly connects godly authority with the responsibility to guard, protect, preserve, and advance what God has established. In this powerful Biblical Life teaching, Dr. Michael Lake examines a truth the modern Church desperately needs to recover: Every legitimate biblical leader is called to stand under God's authority—and biblical authority carries with it the responsibility to resist darkness. The modern Church has often separated leadership from spiritual warfare. The result has been weakened families, passive believers, exhausted pastors, confused authority structures, and Christians who have never been taught how to stand their ground spiritually. That must change. Dr. Lake examines how biblical leadership establishes God's order, while spiritual warfare protects it. In the early 2000s, Disney was on the brink of collapse. Shareholders were revolting. Morale was at an all-time low. The board finally forced out longtime CEO Michael Eisner. Here's what makes that story fascinating. Eisner's first decade was historic. His last was abysmal. Same man. Same company. So what changed? Disney grew. Eisner never grew with it. Every decision, every ride, every film had to run through his micromanaging leadership. That style worked when the company was smaller. It was destroying them two decades later. Enter Bob Iger. In his memoir, The Ride of a Lifetime, Iger describes building his entire vision around three clear priorities. That vision transformed the company. Iger understood something Eisner never did: what got Disney here wouldn't get Disney there. They didn't need an updated Mickey. They needed an updated method. Churches face the same tension. By God's grace, our church is growing. But the win isn't a bigger crowd. It's deeper formation. People embracing the practices of Jesus. Generational patterns changing. Men and women stepping into their calling. And that kind of growth forces an honest question: can the methods that got us here faithfully take us there? Part of the fear around growth is legitimate. Growth can veer into vanity. A pastor gets an ego, a church chases numbers, the mission gets lost. That danger is real and worth guarding against. But there's another challenge we don't talk about nearly as often. Growth creates complexity. More people means more stories, more needs, more questions. It's like moving from two kids to three. You go from man-on-man to zone defense. So how does a growing church organize itself around spiritual formation? Paul answers that exact question in Ephesians 4. Serving Grace Everything hangs on one sentence: “Grace was given to each one of us” (Ephesians 4:7). In the first half of Ephesians, Paul celebrates saving grace. That's what most of us think of when we see the word. Without it, we're separated from God. It comes by His mercy, not our merit. But here, Paul shifts to serving grace. Saving grace gives us a place in God's family. Serving grace gives us a purpose in God's family. We aren't just recipients of grace. We become participants in it. And who receives this serving grace? Each one of us. Not the professionals. Not just the staff. Every follower of the Way. Paul even quotes Psalm 68 with a twist. The original says the King received gifts from people. Paul writes that Jesus gave gifts to people. This King isn't just here to receive. He's so generous, He distributes His ministry through His whole Body. Five Ways Of Seeing Then Paul does something surprising. Instead of listing abilities, he lists people: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Notice this isn't a list of the ministers. It's a list of the equippers. The leaders equip. The saints minister. Without that understanding, churches make attenders, not disciples. Here's one way to grasp these five gifts. They can all walk into the same church, look at the same people, and notice something different. The apostle says we need to build and multiply. The prophet says we need to hear from God and pursue holiness. The evangelist says we need to reach the lost. The pastor says we need to care for and protect people. The teacher says we need to understand and live God's truth. None of them are wrong. Each sees a different part of what the Body needs. The problem comes when we assume what we see is all there is to see. The prophet needs the shepherd. The evangelist needs the teacher. We need each other because the Church needs all of Jesus. Your Next Step This is why we've built a Discipleship Pathway around teaching, community, and practice. It's not a shift away from anything. It's a step further in. The goal is simple: deepen your discipleship and develop your gift for the Body. You can't choose your gift. You discern it. Through prayer, practice, and community, you discover where God has empowered you to serve others. So here's the question worth praying over: what's your next step on the pathway? Formation doesn't run through a handful of people at the top. Grace was given to each one of us. Including you.

How do we have peace with one another? Ephesians 2:14–18 prepares us for the morning sermon in public worship on the coming Lord's Day. In these five verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that Christ Himself is how we have peace with one another. The devotional exposits Ephesians 2:14-18, identifying Jesus as the source of a comprehensive peace that operates in multiple dimensions. It outlines how Christ abolishes the ceremonial law separating Jews and Gentiles, creates a new unified humanity, and removes the enmity between sinful humans and God. The message emphasizes that this reconciliation is applied personally to the conscience through faith, granting believers direct access to the Father via the Holy Spirit. This Trinitarian fellowship establishes a profound bond among believers, transcending ethnic and national divisions. Consequently, the congregation is called to live in harmony with one another, grounded in the reality of the peace Christ has secured.

Chancery Royalty CEO Jeremy Gray joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company's strategy of building a leading precious metals royalty business focused exclusively on gold and silver assets. Backed by a management team with decades of mine-building and operational experience, the company is positioning itself to capitalize on attractive royalty opportunities that may be overlooked by larger competitors in the sector. Gray explained that the leadership team brings an extensive track record of success in the mining industry, having previously helped develop and operate several notable gold companies and projects, including Pilar Gold, Laiva Gold in Finland, Tucano Gold, Great Panther, and Gold Road in Arizona. Having gained firsthand experience creating value through mine development and operations, the team is now applying that expertise to the royalty business model, which offers exposure to production growth while minimizing operational and capital risks. Chancery Royalty currently holds five royalty assets, one of which is already generating revenue through production. The remaining four assets are expected to advance into production over the next 12 to 18 months, creating the potential for a growing stream of royalty income as development milestones are achieved. The company's investment strategy is focused exclusively on gold and silver royalties, targeting opportunities that offer meaningful gold equivalent ounce growth potential. Gray noted that Chancery seeks assets that may not attract the attention of larger royalty companies but still possess strong fundamentals, development pathways, and the potential to generate significant long-term value. One of the company's most significant recent transactions was a US$20 million royalty agreement with KEFI Copper and Gold involving a major project in Ethiopia. Gray described the asset as “probably the best undeveloped gold mine in Africa,” highlighting its scale and development potential. The transaction is expected to add approximately 7,000 GEOs to Chancery's portfolio, representing a substantial increase in future royalty exposure. The KEFI transaction aligns with Chancery's broader growth objective of expanding its royalty portfolio from approximately 4,000 GEOs today to 20,000 GEOs within the next two years. Management believes achieving this target would significantly increase the company's revenue potential and establish a stronger foundation for long-term growth. Gray also discussed additional royalty opportunities currently under evaluation. These include recent activity involving Buxton, as well as prospective transactions in key mining jurisdictions such as Timmins, one of Canada's most prolific gold-producing districts. The company is also reviewing another near-term production royalty opportunity that could further accelerate portfolio growth. While doctrine, discipline, gifting, and structure all have their place, they ultimately fail if they are not rooted in the love of God. Love is not about position or title. Christ alone holds the position. The Body functions properly not when offices are recognized, but when believers operate in His presence and His love. As believers press into love and unity, everything contrary to it surfaces—division, pride, self-will, and accusation. These exposures are not setbacks but part of God's cleansing process. Authority is not something we seize, claim, or declare independently; it is released through a mature, intentional, and ongoing surrender of our will to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The Five-Fold Ministry has been massively misrepresented! It's either one extreme or the other with no balance in the body of Christ. It's NOT about numbers, popularity, or status to fill ego and self. It's about truly representing the heart of the Father with purity. What we are viewing on social media and witnessing in many churches today is not the flow of the Holy Spirit. A five-fold team co-labors together, each flowing in their unique gifting, yet together; brings unity to the body of Christ to help build and equip maturity while avoiding falsehood.
