"I may be practicing the art of repression and washing myself of any speck of contamination that would take me back to the state from which I have come very far. My suffering of the past, today, is a mere jumble of words devoid of any color or feeling. It is now a part of life that happened, changed me for good, and disappeared in the deep waters of the sea, hopefully never resurfacing." Fareeha Khan is an internal medicine physician. She shares her story and discusses her KevinMD article, "My postpartum depression was a stumble, but am I really past the trauma?" The Podcast by KevinMD is brought to you by the Nuance Dragon Ambient eXperience. With a growing physician shortage, increasing burnout, and declining patient satisfaction, a dramatic change is needed to make health care more efficient and effective and bring back the joy of practicing medicine. AI-driven ambient clinical intelligence promises to help by revolutionizing patient and provider experiences with clinical documentation that writes itself. The Nuance Dragon Ambient eXperience, or DAX for short, is a voice-enabled, ambient clinical intelligence solution that automatically captures patient encounters securely and accurately at the point of care. Okay culmmies, this one gets a little trippy. THE Fareeha Khan is here and we're not gonna lie... this episode is beautiful. This episode is about... going upstate, fixing your brain, Fantastic Funghi on Netflix, chainsawing ALL day, a pregnancy reveal, communing with the universe in a hammock, decaying, CONFIDENT GIRLS, your 4-digit PIN code, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the 6-layer skort. Fareeha Khan is a comedian and artist based in New York City. She's been on Comedy Central's “Tight Five” presented by Ilana Glazer, has toured her stand up with Man Repeller, and was featured on the NBC showcase at the Women in Comedy Festival. Her humor writing has appeared on MTV Decoded, Reductress, and in the book Every Body. She has acted in sketches on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Comedy Central, and Adult Swim, as well as several indie short films, including 1/30, which was executive produced by Lena Waithe. Her short film she created, wrote, and starred in, Break Up, Baby, was a NoBudge 2021 pick and Vulture said she has “an enchanting onscreen presence” in it, which was pretty cool. She was a writer's assistant on After After Party, a Refinery29 produced digital show in 2018. In 2017 she was chosen to participate in the Riot x TBS Comedy Writers Lab. She has a B.A. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, which she usually tells people is a poli-sci degree because that sounds more real. She was born in Karachi, Pakistan, yet in a plot twist, she grew up in South Carolina and Virginia. Hence the outcast vibes.
Pranav and Usama hang with their funny friend, comedian Fareeha Khan (Comedy Central) about brown ppl in the so called “alternative” space of comedy and performance, her comedy as an outgrowth of her alienated childhood down south, being “too white” for other brown kids, and lots more! thanks for listening and be sure to check out our patreon for tons of bonus content!

I wandered into one of my favorite Brooklyn places, The Brick Theater and they were having a great art exhibition by some of their most hilarious, creative performers who also make art. The artists are - Fareeha Khan, Felipe Di Poi, Lorelei Ramirez, Marissa Goldman, Tawanda Gona, Tim Platt, Whitley Watson I knew Lorelei Ramirez a bit and always loved her work so I asked her and an animator, Felipe Di Poi, who's work I loved as well, to talk about how visual art has been a good outlet for them during these trying times. I'd like to share a "before times" session I did with the Bricks artistic director, Theresa Buckheister as well. As I always maintain, artists are like cockroaches, they will remain through everything—so here's some proof of that.
Matt is joined by Fareeha Khan & Brian Bahe to discuss identity, signing casts, and the power of positive thinking.

On today's episode Iv'e got double guests- Alyssa Al-Dookhi and Fareeha Khan !!! Alyssa Al-Dookhi is an Arab American comedian, writer and game show host living in Philadelphia. She hails from Pakistan and also somehow Virginia. Listen, Laugh and Love, Yael Gavish
