CLASSIC EPISODE! Recorded 2021. The guys dive deep into WWF In Your House 12: It's Time, from the West Palm Beach Auditorium in West Palm Beach, Florida, on December 15, 1996. Bret Hart had his first WWF Championship match since losing to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XII earlier that year, the Undertaker and Executioner faced off in an Armageddon Rules Match, and things got funky when Flash Funk opened the show against Leif Cassidy. -- Follow us on Twitter [@_piccone] [@VaughnMJohnson] [@shootersradio] You can subscribe to The Straight Shooters on the following platforms: [Apple Podcasts] [Google Podcasts] [Spotify] [iHeartRadio] [Amazon] [Audacy] [TuneIn Radio] [Pandora] [Stitcher] [Spreaker] [Player FM] and wherever else you get your podcasts! We've dropped the Commandant and now we've got… the Jackal? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, a two-man podcast booth gets some strong Jobber of the Week contenders with the Patriot, Flash Funk, and Ahmed Johnson. Goldust and Marlena are back with a loaded purse, Uncle Cletus gets his nose broken when the Legion of Doom wins the Tag Titles, and Tajiri shows hints of the Japanese Buzzsaw. What's a little casual racism if it's Jerry Lawler saying it?

Jonnie Sea is going to watch every IYH PPV with Vince on the stick and keep a “living document” of every insane utterance! It's time to find out who will control the WWF as we steamroll towards 1997, as Powerbomb meets SharpShooter in a battle for Federation gold! But more importantly, IT's Time for Leif Cassidy and Flash Funk to prove they are not men out of time! IT's Time for Clones to Attack in an attempt to become the TAG TEAM TITLE HOLDERS! But more importantly then even those events, IT's Time for the UNDERTAKER and The Executioner to battle IN YOUR HOUSE! Plus: HBK “allegedly” shows up in no condition to commentate…again!
Who's ready to grow another testicle? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys watch the last Monday Night Raw episode leading into the Ground Zero Pay Per View. Matches featuring the Legion of Doom and Flash Funk fall short, while the main event brings together the Undertaker, Mankind, Shawn Michaels, and Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Goldust and Marlena accept a challenge from Brian Pillman, and there continues to be too much of the Patriot on our screens. That kid is back on our screens again!
Who's ready for a… Country Whipping Match? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys find out just how much Scott Putski can do in three and a half minutes - not much! Additional matches featuring Ken Shamrock and Flash Funk round out the card, while the Patriot gets way too much screen time. Shawn Michaels and Mankind are in the main event, and Stone Cold Steve Austin's broken freakin' neck continues to be a sore spot. On a positive note, we're fortunate enough to see Chainz wrestle, right?
Ep 231 – In Your House 12: It's Time “Sharpshooter vs Powerbomb” Vader didn't play well with others, but he still got a PPV named after him 0:19 - Welcome 19:12 - IYH Opening 20:26 - Leif Cassidy vs Flash Funk (w/ the Funkettes) 25:09 - Razor Ramon and Diesel vs Owen Hart and British Bulldog (w/ Clarence Mason) for the WWF World Tag Team Championships 34:23 - “Wildman” Marc Mero (w/ Sable) vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the WWF Intercontinental Championship 41:52 - The Executioner (w/ Paul Bearer) vs Undertaker in an Armageddon Rules match 50:11 – Bret “The Hitman” Hart vs Sycho Sid for the WWF Championship 56:17 - Overall Thoughts 59:58 - Smarking It Up 1:06:38 - Making Their Way to the Ring 1:11:00 - Goodbyes Music from this week's show is the opening from It's Time and “Snapped” by Jim Johnston Rate and review us on iTunes, Stitcher, GooglePlay, Spotify or wherever you find your podcasts Email – WrestlingHistoryX@gmail.com Twitter – WrestlingHistoX

Ahmed Johnson is overdressed again! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys get some incredible, and then questionable, content on Monday Night Raw. Matches featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, the Legion of Doom and the Hart Foundation all deliver, while matches featuring Flash Funk, Goldust, and a promo from Jerry Lawler fall completely flat. Mankind continues to be interviewed by Jim Ross, and the in-ring debut of D-Lo Brown looks good. Sable is a cyborg!

Please pray for the healing of the beloved knee! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys get to see a very sacrilegious episode of Monday Night Raw, continuing the ‘soap opera' storytelling by giving Brian Pillman a live microphone. Rockabilly and the Honky Tonk Man take on Flash Funk, the Legion of Doom are in action, and a new Intercontinental Champion is crowned. There's a surprising Jobber of the Week, and they've finally figured out what to do with Sunny- put her in a sexy bed!
In this episode of Wrestling War Zone: The Monday Night Wars, JT Rozzero & Chad Campbell dive into WWF In Your House: It's Time 1996! They catch up on their personal lives for a few minutes and then get into a shaky showing for Flash Funk, the disastrous tag team division, Marc Mero scuffling, Undertaker polishing off the Executioner, Sid's big win, the build to Hart/Michaels and much more! So sit back, settle in and join JT and Chad as they work their way through the one and only Monday Night Wrestling War era!
Creatures of New Jersey! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys witness the fallout of Wrestlemania XIII. Matches featuring Flash Funk, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and the Headbangers are on the card, and the British Bulldog and Owen Hart finally trade blows. Bret “the Hitman'' Hart and Shawn Michaels deliver phenomenal in-ring promos, while the Undertaker does not. Mankind won the Loose Screw Award!
SHAKE THE BOOTY! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys bear witness to a particularly poor episode of Monday Night Raw. Flash Funk gets pyro, Shawn Michaels has an apology to present to everyone, and The Goon is here to ruin everyone's good time. That trend continues with Fake Diesel, Jake “the Snake” Roberts, and the Mildman Marc Mero. 2 Cold Scorpio. A man with so much talent flowing through him. One of the most innovative high flyers in the US, with a career that spans the entire globe and is still going to this day. On this episode, Sam, Riordan and Dan discuss all things Scorpio! From his start in the New Japan Dojo, to Flash Funk in the WWE and his career resurgence over the past two years, we'll go over it all. All of that, plus the week's news.
Sept 20, 1997 the WWF travels "across the pond" to Manchester for the One Night Only PPV. A few weeks removed from the IYH : Ground Zero PPV we see Shawn Michaels defeat The British Bulldog for the European Championship, in controversial fashion. Degeneration X has all but formed and are about 5 weeks into using that moniker. Shawn Michaels becomes the first "Grand Slam Champion" in WWF history - IE the first person to have held all of the titles at least once. Bret Hart has what has been heralded by many (including Bret, himself) his last great match vs The Undertaker - in a 28min classic. 2 days after this PPV, Monday Night Raw takes place in Madison Square Garden - this is when Vince McMahon tells Bret Hart he cannot honour Bret's contract and suggests he leave to WCW. You can hear the tension and the under-cutting Vince does to Bret during his pre-match interview..suggesting that he is getting booed by the UK audience - which was only partially correct. There is also a dandy of a match between Vader and Owen Hart! Arguably match of the night. The Godwinns take on the Legion of Doom. Flash Funk, strangely, takes on The Patriot (who gets booed out of the building). Dude Love takes on Hunter Hearst-Helmsley in a solid opening contest.
The final episodes of WWF Raw and WCW Nitro of 1996 get covered in this week's episode of Wrestling Bios' "Reliving The War". With WCW Nitro being a better show for the majority of the year, can Raw end on a high note with a win? Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels have a face to face in-ring confrontation for the first time since WrestleMania 12 on Raw. Triple H takes on Flash Funk, and the main event features Jerry "The King" Lawler doing battle with Goldust. Over on WCW Nitro, it seems like the Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have gone completely delusional as Hogan tries to convince the fans watching that he beat Roddy Piper at Starrcade the night before. Roddy Piper shows up at the end of the show, and the nWo ends up losing a member after a beatdown takes place.
Reliving The War takes a close look at the fabled WWF vs WCW Monday Night Wars by looking at EVERY match, promo and segment that aired on WWF Monday Night Raw and WCW Monday Nitro. The date is 12.2.96 and the WWF are headed towards In Your House : It's Time. WCW will put on their annual Starrcade event at the end of the year, and both promotions are giving fans some big names in their scheduled pay per view main events. Bret Hart vs Sycho Sid will headline In Your House 12, while Roddy Piper vs Hulk Hogan will main event WCW's biggest show of the calendar year. This week on WCW Nitro, Sting gets challenged to a match. Rick and Scott Steiner aren't happy with Sting hitting a death drop on Rick last week, so the "Dog-Faced Gremlin" lays out a challenge for Sting this week on Nitro. Elsewhere, Arn Anderson begins worrying about Chris Benoit's relationship with woman, and Glacier makes his return to WCW Nitro. On the USA Network, Shawn Michaels gets interviewed by Vince McMahon. HBK wants to further address the reaction he got at Survivor Series 1996, and he also wants to address Sycho Sid. Inside the ring, we have Jesse James vs Bradshaw, Flash Funk making his in-ring Raw debut, and a tag team main event featuring Hunter Hearst Helmsley & Billy Gunn vs Marc Mero & Jake Roberts.
This week on the show we kick things off with some “On This Day” that features a PPV event that was the first one attended by both Adam and myself as youngsters, The 1996 King of the Ring from the Mecca in Milwaukee. This is known as the night Austin 3:16 was created, but we saw some other great matches as well. The Retro Raw Review is focused on the upcoming Canadian Stampede, but we also get a Flash Funk vs. Sabu match that came out of left field! Of course we get into some news (possible leaks) and chat about what we have watched this week in the world of pro wrestling. Hope you are enjoying the show, we enjoy creating it!
Stone Cold Steve Austin main-events his 2nd straight PPV as an emerging "character babyface" antihero - facing The Undertaker for the coveted WWF Heavyweight Championship. Bret Hart and his fully formed Hart Foundation all set up in the front row for the match to heckle and interfere with Austin's attempt to win championship gold. Also on the card : Ahmed Johnson attempts to run the gauntlet of the Nation of Domination, Hunter Hearst-Helmsley (with his new bodyguard Chyna) take on Flash Funk, Mankind battles rookie Rocky Miavia in an interesting early match between what would become a classic 90s rivalry. Ken Shamrock enters his "zone" and debuts tonight in a UFC style match against Vader.
WWF had to call an audible on the road to Wrestlemania 13 : HBK "lost his smile" and forfeited his title shortly after the Royal Rumble - which caused the main event of the PPV to crown a brand new WWF Champion. Bret Hart v Vader v Undertaker v Steve Austin is a rather strange 4way where you could win by pin...submission...or throwing the man over the top rope! This match created the infamous 'Vader Bloody Vader' visual, as well as saw Bret Hart win his 4th Championship (although it was very short lived). Some other solid matches on this card as we ramp up into the home stretch of W13 from Chicago. Hunter Hearst Helmsley faces Rocky Miavia in their first-of-many PPV bouts, Leif Cassidy takes on Marc Mero, Owen Hart/Bulldog tease a breakup against Furnace/LaFon, the first appearance of Chyna!...and the NoD take on some random-ass good guys in Bart Gunn, Flash Funk and Goldust.
JR and Mikey dive into the dark days of the WWF and In Your House 12: IT’S TIME!! It’s time for Sid to defend the WWF Championship against Bret “The Hitman” Hart! It’s time for Carny Vince to dance with Flash Funk! It’s time for Jim Ross to defend the hilarity of the Fake Razor and Diesel! It’s time for Gord Abdul-Gretzky to join the Nation of Domination! It’s time for The Undertaker to battle Terry “Bam Bam” Executioner in whatever the hell an Armageddon Rules match is! It’s time for Steve Austin to jump everyone from behind! And it’s time for Shawn Michaels to take all the drugs and do guest commentary and take bumps. But it’s not Vader Time. All that and how the Mean Street Posse has an in with the Greenwich gossip circles on the latest TLD.
A very strong PPV that saw Sid take down Bret Hart in the main event - thanks, in part, to a surly Shawn Michaels on commentary. Flash Funk makes his PPV debut, Fake Razor & Diesel get a title shot against Owen & Bulldog ...Stone Cold does a few run-ins...Terry Gordy as the Executioner ends up in the river beside the arena during his Armageddon Rules Match v the Undertaker...
On the show this week we spend a lot of time talking about the changing landscape of the WWF that began with Survivor Series 1996. That show was so pivotal! We saw the debuts of The Nation of Domination, Flash Funk, Rocky Maivia, Doug Furnas & Phil Lafon, a new look for The Undertaker, Yokozuna’s last match with the company and a new WWF Champion. Wow! From there we have some weekly figure news for you and a story about an autographed Paul Bearer figure that is currently lost in the mail. We close things out with a run down of what we have watched since we last sat down to record. Topics there include NXT, The Mortician documentary, Being the Elite and more!
Live from MSG!! The return of Bret Hart - he faces the up and coming Steve Austin in a classic (and underrated) match...the NY crowd turns on Shawn Michaels, and he sells it, as he drops the belt to Sid ...some debuts - Rocky Miavia, Flash Funk, Furnace & LaFon ...some returns - Jimmy Snuka and the batwings version of the Undertaker! Classic stuff here.
This Pay Per View event, originating from Birmingham, England was filled with intrigue. Plenty of great wrestling action with the Legion of Doom, Dude Love, Owen Hart, The Patriot, the Headbangers, Bret Hart, the Undertaker, HHH, the Godwinns, Flash Funk, and more. But the story was Davey Boy Smith against Shawn Michaels for the European Championship. A memorable match and swerve that only the WWE could cook up in 1997. Relive the moments. Why didn't Smith? Who was behind it? So many questions...and so much speculation. It may have be ONE NIGHT ONLY, but the memories have stood the test of time. "Oh Flash, you are so funky!" This week we dive into the career of 2 Cold Scorpio, a.k.a. Flash Funk. We watch matches against Barry Windham, Owen Hart, & Sabu, and one of the most stacked six-man tags you'll ever watch. In this week's episode Revered Aaron & Babyface Brian review In Your House 13: Final Four from February 16th, 1997. The culmination of 4 weeks of build from the post-Royal Rumble Raw. This is a one-match show, built around the fatal four-way match between Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Vader & The Undertaker. On the undercard, we have Goldust, Bart Gunn, and Flash Funk vs Nation of Domination. This show also features the debut of a future iconic star. Check it out & as always like, share, and enjoy! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/brian-glynn/message
These two shows flow together so well that we finished talking about In Your House 14 and continued into the 15th installment. We didn't want to tell you all about the set up that takes place on 'Revenge of the Taker' and make our listeners wait a week for the pay off at 'A Cold Day in Hell.' Plus, take a look at these two events on the WWE Network. The graphics are exactly the same, only the dates have changed.Revenge of the 'Taker takes place on April 20, 1997 at the Rochester Community War Memorial in Rochester, NY in front of nearly 6,500 fans. Steve Austin is about to become the hottest thing in all of professional wrestling. A month earlier at WrestleMania 13 was the infamous double turn in which Austin became a face and Bret Hart turned into WWF's biggest heel. The Hart Foundation is here hating America while simultaneously beloved in Canada and other countries. Some of the Attitude Era's biggest stars are here, just before breaking through.Tonight's matches include: The Legion of Doom vs. Owen Hart and the British Bulldog (WWF Tag Team champions). Savio Vega (with the Nation of Domination) vs. Rocky Maivia (Intercontinental champion). Jesse James vs Rockabilly (with the Honky Tonk Man). The Undertaker (WWF champion) vs. Mankind (with Paul Bearer). "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart to determine the #1 Contender to the WWF title. Spoiler alert. Austin wins that match.Which brings us to the second feature, In Your House 15: 'A Cold Day in Hell.' This event is held May 11, 1997, at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA in front of over 9,000 fans. WWF is heating up and the talent who will help them win the Monday Night Wars is here. It is amazing to see so many future WWF champions on this card. Watching The Rock try to escape from Rocky Maivia. Where does Savio Vega reside? Door banners! Hype central! Bret "Crybaby" Hart. Then on part 2 we wonder if the Chyna gimmick would work today. Fantasy booking a better version of the Nation of Domination. All this talk plus two matches that surprised us.Contact The House Show across social media! WWF In Your House: Final Four took place February 16, 1997 at the UTC Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee in front of just over 6,000 fans who were guaranteed to see a new WWF champion crowned. This is a crazy set up so buckle up. The Royal Rumble saw a controversial finish. Steve Austin was eliminated but the referees didn't see it. He came back in and eliminated Vader, the Undertaker, and Bret Hart thus winning the Rumble. The plan all along was to have these four men face off again at In Your House: Final Four to decide a definitive winner who would then go on to face the WWF champion (Shawn Michaels) at WrestleMania 13.The problem was, Shawn Michaels didn't want to lose his title to Bret Hart. I mean, Shawn had a knee injury. I mean, Shawn "lost his smile". No matter what the truth was the fact is Shawn Michaels gave up the WWF title three days before this pay per view at Thursday Raw Thursday Live. This four way match that was meant to crown a new #1 contender is now for the vacant WWF title. We go over all of this on the podcast and so much more. Hot Pokemon talk. Matty Treats introduces us to the world of car sushi. We ask what kind of person Shawn Michaels was back in 1997. We discuss sending money via Western Union. One of the biggest WWF debuts of all time as "Funky Gold Gunn" shows up. This is then overshadowed by the debut of Chyna! We follow all of this up with the biggest top 5 debate in show history.Tonight's card includes: Marc Mero (with Sable) vs. Leif Cassidy. The Nation of Domination - Faarooq, Crush, and Savio Vega - accompanied by PG-13, D-Lo Brown, and Clarence Mason vs. Bart Gunn, Flash Funk, and Goldust (with Marlena). Rocky Maivia (Intercontinental champion) vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon vs. Owen Hart and British Bulldog (WWF Tag Team champions) - with Clarence Mason. Vader vs. Undertaker vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart in an elimination match for the WWF title. The Retro Network's own Kevin Decent (@MaskedLibrary) along with his two best friends “Sweet” Matty Treats (@MattyTreats) and Matt “the Educator of Excellence” are revisiting the WWF's In Your House pay per view events over the course of the worldwide quarantine. WWF In Your House: It's Time took place December 15, 1996 at the West Palm Beach Auditorium in West Palm Beach, Florida in front of nearly 6,000 fans. Best of all it was presented by Milton Bradley's Karate Fighters! This is an extra special episode today. This is the bedroom episode! Due to some internet connection issues both the Educator and the Masked Library have moved their electronics into the place where the magic happens. The podcasting magic. Magic like fantasy booking two wrestlers switching characters. How tall is seven feet tall? Breaking down the work of Glenn Jacobs with the world's number one Fake Diesel fan. Kevin questions how many wrestlers actually watch tape of their opponents. Which moves look too dangerous? Does anyone in WWF give veteran wrestlers a try out to see if they can still work before signing them?Tonight's matches include: Flash Funk vs. Leif Cassidy. Owen Hart and the British Bulldog (WWF tag team champions) (with Clarence Mason) vs. Fake Diesel and Fake Razor Ramon. Marc Mero (with Sable) vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley (Intercontinental champion). The Undertaker vs The Executioner (with Paul Bearer) in an Armageddon Rules match. Sycho Sid (WWF Champion) vs. Bret Hart. Justin C and Heather are back with another edition of the 3 Beers Deep Wrestling Podcast! Not only that, but they are proud to be a part of the Hooked on Wrestling Podcast community! This week Justin and Heather look at a monumental night in the world of the WWF. The March 17, 1997 episode of RAW features an ending angle that is looked at as one of the catalyst for the Attitude Era. Bret Hart snaps at the end of RAW and loses it on Vince McMahon. As you know, "FRUSTRATED ISN'T THE GOD DAMN WORD FOR IT!" But that is not all that is on this episode of RAW. We get a Shawn Michaels promo where we wonder what the hell is actually going on and why is the Heartbreak Kid even out there. Billy Gunn tries to be a tough guy but unlike his former partner Bart would be a year later, he fails. What the hell is going on with Flash Funk's boots in his match against HHH? Not only that, but what the hell is Ahmed Johnson wearing? And just how good was the British Bulldog?Crack open some beers with Justin C and Heather as they sit back and watch this memorable episode of Monday Night RAW! Give it a listen, follow us on Apple Podcasts and on Twitter @TheHot_Tag!
This week we discuss FS1 hiring CM Punk to join the panel of WWE backstage, we take one final look at the fiasco from WWE's trip to Saudi Arabia, Alex complains about the price point of AEW pay-per-views, and Patrick is excited for a new video game called Retrofest. Then, we review WWF One Night Only from September of 1997 where British Bulldog put his WWF European Championship on the line against Shawn Michaels. It was a long night for the Hart Foundation over in England. We're also treated to a Del Wilkes match against Flash Funk! The review begins at 48:38.
Join us as we take a look back at: WWF In Your House: A Cold Day In Hell!!!!! This card was on May 11, 1997 from Richmond, VA. This card is known for the debut of Ken Shamrock against Vader. Also, Flash Funk vs HHH, Ahmed Johnson vs The Nation of Domination, and a Main Event of Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Undertaker..Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On this weeks all new episode of THE PAYOFF, hear the whole story of how The New Age Outlaws were formed! We do a deep dive into what Rockabilly and Jesse James were up to, how they became a tag team and what transpired following this unlikely duo forming... all while watching the match and angle along with "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn! Make sure to hit SUBSCRIBE and check out all of our great past episodes!
Before Saudi Arabia, the WWF headed to Birmingham, England for a glorified house show, and it takes us a pack of spiked seltzer and several shots of vodka to get through it. Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Dude Love present a by the numbers match. Tiger Ali Singh cuts a face promo that calls into question if he has any idea what a face is. Los Boriquas and the Head Bangers put together a surprisingly fun, logical match. Flash Funk and the Patriot fart. Hawk lets loose more beautiful nonsense. Vader and Owen show just how good they are and recast their match on the fly. Bret “Hitman” Hart and Undertaker go for close to 30 minutes and undo all the awesome they put together in a heartbeat. And home-country hero and possible puppet enthusiast Davey Boy Smith takes on the hated Shawn Michaels for the European Championship in the only match that actually matters.Theme song “There Are Traitors in Our Midst” by Disco VietnamArt by Alexis Yavne

December 21st, 1998: Vince McMahon leaves the arena to go train for the Royal Rumble, and so he leaves his son Shane in charge for the night. However, that may prove to be a mistake as an out-of-his-element Shane ends up booking himself into his very first wrestling match against Mankind. Triple-H & X-Pac team up to face The Rock and a man who is also making his in-ring debut: Test! Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown are scheduled to face The Headbangers, but "Sexual Chocolate" may not be able to resist the advances of Terri Runnels and Jacqueline. Ken Shamrock puts his Intercontinental Title on the line against "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn.... or does he? WWF Hardcore Champion The Big Boss Man squares off with "The Road Dogg" in what is supposed to be a non-title match, but Jesse James may be able to convince him to put the belt up for grabs. Five weeks after being pushed off the TitanTron, Road Warrior Hawk returns to the WWF and reveals some dark secrets about his relationship with Droz. Even though The Blue Blazer was unmasked last week, the caped superhero returns to seek revenge on Steve Blackman. Gangrel steps into the ring with Al Snow, and a post-match "bloodbath" may cause Al to go completely insane (well okay, more than usual). The Acolytes take on J.O.B. Squad members Bob Holly & Scorpio in what turns out to be the final "Raw" match for the man formerly known as Flash Funk. Plus, Jeff Jarrett rants about what pisses him off, "Classy" Freddie Blassie dresses up as a perverted mall Santa Claus for some reason, and The Corporation shockingly adds a new member to its growing ranks! Meanwhile in WCW, we get the final episode of "Nitro" before the controversial "Starrcade 1998" pay-per-view, with the highlight of the show being Scott Steiner mocking someone for using steroids (yes, seriously). NOT A LIVE SHOW! Who would have thought we would reach this milestone? Tonight we celebrate our ONE HUNDRETH EPISODE! While we've had our ups and downs it's been through the dedication of not just our hosts, but you, our listeners, that we have kept this going. Tonight we are bringing back our Spotlight and welcoming back our friends from PWA in Springfield, Il. They have another great event planned for central Illinois this weekend that they will talk about. We are very happy to have them back with us. We don't completely know who may join us however, we do have two people who are slated to join us; 2 Cold Scorpio has been a household name in this business since the 1980s. Debuting as Ron Simmons partner on a WCW "Clash Of The Champions", the man who brought the Hayabusa 450 splash to the U.S. was a mainstay for WCW and ECW and spent some time in the WWF in the early days of its national expansion under the name Flash Funk. What can we say about Kenny "Starmaker" Bolin that hasn't already been said, probably by him? Kenny is always one of our most popular guests and has no problem speaking his mind about the state of the business which we know all of you love. This is also a special occaision as this is Kenny's birthday. We're not saying he's old, but you've heard Katie tell Steve he went to high school with Moses, Kenny graduated with the prophet Isaiah! We love for you, our fans, to take part in the celebation. Just ask your questions in our chat, Skype us or call in at 347-850-8033. Thanks for making the first 99 episodes fun, we hope you'll stay with us for the next 100!

Ahmed Johnson explains why he joined The Nation and hypes up his PPV Title match. He then gets injured and has to relinquish it. Owen Hart, HHH, and Goldust square off (or would that be triangle off?) in the first ever televised Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship. The tag team tournament continues, and Sabu faces Flash Funk on Raw in Week 25 of A Cure for the Common Podcast.

April 6th, 1998: After being sent to jail last week, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has apparently reconsidered and become Vince McMahon's corporate champion.... or has he? The brand new version of D-Generation-X runs afoul of The Disciples of Apocalypse by [ahem] washing their motorcycles, which results in a match between the two factions. A despondent Cactus Jack takes the fans to task for cheering on another wrestler, and we may have seen the last of him in the WWF as a result. Kane and Paul Bearer continue their mind games by desecrating the gravesite of The Undertaker's parents. The new Nation of Domination ambushes Faarooq backstage, and The Rock then puts his Intercontinental Title on the line against Owen Hart. Ken Shamrock goes one-on-one with Marc Mero while The Nation continues to cause trouble for "The World's Most Dangerous Man." Steve Blackman squares off with Brian Christopher, but Blackman's nemesis Jeff Jarrett is not finished with him yet. Dan "The Beast" Severn has his debut WWF match against Flash Funk, so you can probably predict that outcome pretty easily. Luna Vachon takes on a random jobber in what is billed as the WWF's first ever intergender match. Plus, X-Pac almost ruins the new DX's debut promo by quoting the most inoffensive rapper of all-time and a terrible gimmick gets sent to Wrestler Heaven! Enjoying the Podcast? You could be forgiven for assuming that a PPV titled "In Your House: It's Time" might be about Vader. You would, however, be wrong. In Episode 47 of 'The New Generation Project Podcast', we take a look at the WWF's final big show of 1996. Featuring; your suggestions for new gimmicks for The Smoking Gunns, Shawn Michaels being an utter dick on commentary, a ton of chop blocks, the only match we'll ever see from The Executioner, two random Luchadors wandering out, straightjackets, loads of run-ins, all the main eventers have turned heel, Ahmed Johnson returns to the show to cut the best promo ever, Vince does some more dancing, Flash Funk does a 450 Splash and the podcast debut of Johnny B. Busy. Plus the answers to the questions; Why is Earl Hebner so sleepy? Who are Adams favourite BBC Breakfast news presenters? What is Doc Hendrix wearing? Who does The Rock face in his first singles match on the show? What's wrong with the audio on this show? What happened to Ahmed's house? How many manoeuvres were there on PPV in 1996? Who never owned a bum bag? And are Mrs Scrivens eyebrows real?
After months of some of the best build in wrestling history, it's finally time for Bret 'The Hitman' Hart to return to the squared circle in the world's most famous arena to take on the man he calls the best wrestler in the WWF - Stone Cold Steve Austin. In Episode 46 of 'The New Generation Project Podcast' we take a look at "Survivor Series 1996". Featuring; your suggestions for wrestlers boring backstage hobbies, D'Lo Browns Supermarket Review Blog, the last Hall of Fame ceremony for 8 years, the podcast debuts of Salvatore Sincere, Flash Funk, Doug Furnas, Philip LaFon, The Nation of Domination and some guy called Rocky Maivia, 'Top Gunn' Billy Gunn, we say 'Goodbye' to Marty Jannetty and Yokozuna, some real shoddy refereeing, Emo Batman Undertaker, Chubby McQuiet, a breakdown of Bret Harts negotiations with WCW and the WWF and Shawn Michaels gets rather upset with the New York crowd. Plus the answers to the questions; Who had a falling out over Cluedo? What state does Paul like the name of? How many Ferrero Rocher can be eaten in a minute? How do you sound disappointed and surprised at the same time? Who has the better imitation Vince laugh? Is Harvey Whippleman notable or not able? Exactly how pure and innocent is Sunny? What is the energy content of urine? Who has a 'very refined ground attack'? Who's the best wrestler at changing gears? How many drugs tests did Too Cold Scorpio fail? And who's the man?
