In questo episodio di Finalmente letteratura! Bruno Ferraro e Matteo Telara tracciano un quadro ricco di dettagli storici, intrighi politici, amicizie tra poeti, artisti e filosofi ambientato nella Firenze di fine quattrocento. La figura centrale è Lorenzo Medici, detto il Magnifico, un uomo di stato molto potente, un mecenate, patrono delle arti, scrittore e poeta. Durante la sua vita a Firenze c'erano figure artistiche massime quali Michelangelo, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio. L'Italia dell'epoca era divisa in città stato, governate da famiglie molto potenti incluso lo Stato Pontificio. I Medici erano una dinastia ricca e molto influente nel panorama politico europeo, e prima di diventare i signori di Firenze erano stati facoltosi banchieri. Lorenzo scrisse poesia, sonetti, ballate, canti carnevaleschi…allegri, gioiosi ma anche con un sostrato di malinconia. L'ambiente letterario che si era creato alla sua corte rappresentava una nuova sintesi umanistica sui valori della vita, sull'amore e sulla bellezza che si allontanavano sempre più dalla religiosità del medioevo. Bo raczej nie ma wątpliwości, że obydwu bohaterów tego podwójnego portretu łączy zażyła więź.Wyraz twarzy staruszka z obrazu jest mi doskonale znany. Tak samo patrzył na mnie mój dziadek. To mieszanina czułości, radości i zadziwienia tym, co wymyśla właśnie ten mikry człowiek wspinający się na kolana. To pełnia akceptacji, nawet jeśli nie wiąże się ona ze zrozumieniem. To świadomość, że nie zostało wcale tak dużo czasu i każdą sekundę warto wycisnąć do ostatniej kropelki.W audiobajce mały chłopiec mierzy się z chorobą dziadka. Po raz pierwszy staje oko w oko z przemijaniem. Z tym, że nie wszystko idzie po naszej myśli i nic nie da się z tym fantem zrobić. Równocześnie ma szczęście, bo otaczają go czuli dorośli. Uczucia widoczne w spojrzeniu staruszka rozciągnęłam także na jego postawę wobec wnuka. „Może i sytuacja jest trudna, ale jakoś sobie poradzimy, prawda, mały smyku?” Babcia, bohaterka drugoplanowa bajki, też ma swoje pomysły, ale nie boi się zmienić zdania, gdy zachodzi taka potrzeba.Warto jeszcze wspomnieć o tym, co wyróżnia ten obraz spośród innych współczesnych mu arcydzieł. Otóż zwykle renesansowi twórcy utożsamiali dobro z pięknem, a zło z brzydotą. Ghirlandaio nie boi się przedstawić staruszka takim, jaki był: ze zmarszczkami, siwizną i zmienionym chorobą nosem. This episode examines the extraordinary early Renaissance fresco cycle in the family chapel of Giovanni Tornabuoni, who was the uncle of Lorenzo the Magnificent de' Medici. It was while Ghirlandaio was working on these frescoes in Santa Maria Novella in the 1480s that a 13-year-old apprentice named Michelangelo Buonarroti entered his workshop, who may have left his mark in the paintings.
Preparate la valigia: vi portiamo in viaggio con noi! Abbiamo deciso di esplorare San Gimignano in Toscana, la città famosa per le torri, ma non solo! Infatti, a San Gimignano si trova anche la Gelateria Dondoli, il cui gelato ha ricevuto svariati premi tra cui quello di Campione del Mondo! San Gimignano in Toscana Avete mai preso un treno in Italia? Quello in cui abbiamo viaggiato è chiamato “treno regionale”. I treni regionali sono quei treni che collegano le varie città all'interno di ogni regione italiana. Invece, i treni che collegano città che si trovano in regioni diverse sono chiamati Intercity o Frecce, che sono più veloci e hanno sempre un posto assegnato. Attenzione! Se decideste di usare un autobus italiano, non dimenticate di OBLITERARE il vostro biglietto, cioè di inserirlo nelle apposite macchine, che lo timbrano con la data e l'ora per indicare che è stato utilizzato. Caratteristiche di San Gimignano San Gimignano sorge su una collina a un'altezza di circa 324 metri. Si tratta di un bellissimo borgo medievale con delle mura di cinta. Ma che cos'è un borgo? In italiano, un piccolo centro abitato si chiama “paese”. I “borghi”, invece, pur essendo dei piccoli centri abitati, si distinguono dai paesi perché hanno delle caratteristiche piuttosto specifiche: devono essere antichi con l'architettura originale dell'epoca e ben riconoscibile, devono curare il decoro del centro urbano, offrire luoghi di interesse turistico o eventi di interesse culturale, avere prodotti Doc, Dop, Docg o Igp e disporre di strutture di alloggio e di ristorazione aperte tutto l'anno. San Gimignano rispetta praticamente tutte queste caratteristiche. Infatti, risale al Medioevo e l'architettura dell'epoca è rimasta praticamente intatta, dalle mura ai palazzi alle torri. Cosa vedere a San Gimignano Le Torri Le torri sono forse la cosa più famosa di San Gimignano! In origine, ce n'erano 72, una per ogni famiglia ricca della zona. Oggi ne sono rimaste solo 13 e sono considerate il simbolo dell'architettura medievale toscana. Inoltre, dal 1990 sono anche Patrimonio dell'umanità UNESCO. Insomma, per visitare San Gimignano non si devono avere problemi o dolori al collo, perché è d'obbligo essere sempre con la testa in su ad ammirare queste bellissime torri. Ognuna di loro è bella e particolare, ma tra le più famose c'è quella che si trova nei pressi di Piazza della Cisterna, vicino alla chiesa. Si chiama Torre del Diavolo perché, secondo la leggenda, quando il proprietario tornò da un lungo viaggio, trovò la torre più alta di quando era partito. Da qui la torre è stata vista come opera del Diavolo, da cui prende il nome. Piazza della Cisterna Fu costruita per volontà del Podestà Guccio dei Malavolti, il cui stemma rappresenta una scala. Il nome della piazza deriva dal pozzo ottagonale che si trova al centro e che presenta proprio lo stemma del Podestà. La piazza è simbolo della vita commerciale perché ospitava botteghe, il mercato e le giostre. Da qui si possono ammirare numerosi palazzi come il Palazzo Pellari e le torri, tra le quali la Torre del Diavolo! Una particolarità di questa piazza è il fatto che si trova sul punto più alto su cui è costruito il borgo, perciò è un punto perfetto per riposarsi dopo le salite, rinfrescandosi con il gelato più buono del mondo della gelateria Dondoli. Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta Questa chiesa è il duomo di San Gimignano e anche se all'esterno potrebbe sembrare anonima, all'interno racchiude piccoli tesori. Infatti, il duomo è completamente affrescato, i colori colpiscono la vista e non bisogna farsi sfuggire nessun angolo, perchè si possono trovare affreschi di Benozzo Gozzoli e Taddeo di Bartolo. Non finisce qui, il duomo contiene un crocifisso ligneo che risale al 1200 e una cappella affrescata dal Ghirlandaio, la Cappella di Santa Fina. Chiesa di Sant' Agostino Di solito viene tralasciata,

An immense estate. One part was in the hills, the rest was green meadowland, where his cattle grazed. There were three small communities around my father’s land. Sometimes the people would go to him to ask for a piece of land to cultivate, and my father would offer it for free. He recognized this need for land; his own was large enough to give some away. Also in this painting, by Domenico Ghirlandaio, there is a meadow. It opens out behind the figure of Mary, almost an empty space to emphasize her presence. The three wise men have just placed their signs of wealth on the ground. The crowded procession accompanying them follows the round shape of the painting, highlighting the importance of Mary and the Child. In the background, a hut inside the ruins of a temple symbolizes the advent of the time of Grace overcoming the Old Testament. Just like a slender bud finding its way. Further away, a port. Sky, land, sea... a limitless space. In the 15th century, the episode described by St. Matthew became an occasion to celebrate the wealth of art patrons. Ghirlandaio probably executed this painting for the Tornabuoni family; its round shape was unsuitable for the altar of a church, and in fact it was made for the Tornabuoni to worship in their own home. Some are portrayed with great precision in the two men kneeling to the right, and perhaps even the Magus turned towards us. A family reunion. Then, there is Joseph, absorbed in a tender look directed towards Mary. A little apart from the others, his face resting on his hand, he contemplates his wife and child. The figure of Joseph reminds me of my father. He was always so protective. But he wasn’t able to defend me when I was assaulted as a young girl, nor to placate my fear of possible revenge when the trial ended in my favor. My father didn’t want me to go away, but I was sure I could no longer live in Peru. I’m the one who decided to change life. The day I left for Europe, my father watched me from a distance. He didn’t say goodbye; he didn’t want me to leave. In the painting there are a few objects in the foreground, placed on a stone: a case for glasses, a saddlebag, and a water flask, just the essentials for a journey. I pick them up and leave, without looking back. I was just 22 when I decided to face the challenges of a new world alone. I left a familiar, wealthy and safe place behind me, to find myself tossed around as an illegal immigrant. When I came to Florence, the turning point: I joined the support groups for new immigrants, became involved in local politics, began to take on new responsibilities. In this initiatory journey, I passed under the ruins of times past, and crossed through the door of Mercy. The Magi too, perhaps, passed that way on their return to the East. A few months ago, I went back to my father’s house in the country. A nephew of mine was getting married. I saw how the family had grown, the kids now adults, the children of children. There, once again on the large meadow around the house, we had become a great family. The Magus in the foreground turns towards us, as if surprised by the people who continue to arrive in an endless flow of generations.

There, once again on the large meadow around the house, we had become a great family. An immense estate. One part was in the hills, the rest was green meadowland, where his cattle grazed. There were three small communities around my father’s land. Sometimes the people would go to him to ask for a piece of land to cultivate, and my father would offer it for free. He recognized this need for land; his own was large enough to give some away. Also in this painting, by Domenico Ghirlandaio, there is a meadow. It opens out behind the figure of Mary, almost an empty space to emphasize her presence. The three wise men have just placed their signs of wealth on the ground. The crowded procession accompanying them follows the round shape of the painting, highlighting the importance of Mary and the Child. In the background, a hut inside the ruins of a temple symbolizes the advent of the time of Grace overcoming the Old Testament. Just like a slender bud finding its way. Further away, a port. Sky, land, sea... a limitless space. In the 15th century, the episode described by St. Matthew became an occasion to celebrate the wealth of art patrons. Ghirlandaio probably executed this painting for the Tornabuoni family; its round shape was unsuitable for the altar of a church, and in fact it was made for the Tornabuoni to worship in their own home. Some are portrayed with great precision in the two men kneeling to the right, and perhaps even the Magus turned towards us. A family reunion. Then, there is Joseph, absorbed in a tender look directed towards Mary. A little apart from the others, his face resting on his hand, he contemplates his wife and child. The figure of Joseph reminds me of my father. He was always so protective. But he wasn’t able to defend me when I was assaulted as a young girl, nor to placate my fear of possible revenge when the trial ended in my favor. My father didn’t want me to go away, but I was sure I could no longer live in Peru. I’m the one who decided to change life. The day I left for Europe, my father watched me from a distance. He didn’t say goodbye; he didn’t want me to leave. In the painting there are a few objects in the foreground, placed on a stone: a case for glasses, a saddlebag, and a water flask, just the essentials for a journey. I pick them up and leave, without looking back. I was just 22 when I decided to face the challenges of a new world alone. I left a familiar, wealthy and safe place behind me, to find myself tossed around as an illegal immigrant.
