Johann van Graan is a world-class coach and in his role as Head of Rugby is responsible for the rugby programme at Bath Rugby.   He holds complete responsibility for rugby matters concentrating on the coaching and performances of the team, overseeing all coaching and performance staff.   Van Graan began his professional coaching at the Blue Bulls, and under Head Coach Heyneke Meyer, with focus on forwards and attack, he helped the South African franchise win three Super 14 titles.   He moved on to become the Springboks Forwards Coach, winning the bronze medal at the 2015 Rugby World Cup before becoming Munster Head Coach in 2017.   The 44-year-old has extensive coaching experience, spending five years at Munster before moving to Bath in 2022.   Throughout his career van Graan has developed a long line of players who have gone on to feature regularly on the international stage for Ireland, South Africa, England, Wales and Scotland.   Van Graan's leadership saw Bath reach the Premiership Rugby final in the 2023/24 season, narrowly missing out to Northampton Saints to be crowned runners-up after just two years at the helm of Bath Rugby.   In 2024, it was announced that van Graan has committed a further five years to Bath Rugby, seeing him stay at The Rec until the summer of 2030. Having seen up close how life can go wrong without that stable background, he is a passionate supporter of the Centre for Social Justice and their work promoting the importance of family and the value of sport. Serious injuries, a result of Courtney's uncompromising style of play, have led to long periods on the sidelines. The uncompromising opinions that he holds off the pitch have brought vitriol on social media, most famously when he dared to offer a view around Marcus Rashford's campaigning. His resilience in those difficult moments, on and off the pitch, is just one of the revealing and useful discussions we have in this episode. As this season of the Scrum Down comes to the close, we are sadly marking it with the historic event of London Irish entering administration. In a season which has seen a fantastic Rugby product on the field and lots of success across different formats of the game, it has been blighted by the situations of Wasps, Worcester Warriors and sadly now, London Irish. Alex Corbisiero is joined by BBC Rugby Correspondent Chris Jones, to chat through news of the administration, what can be done to protect other clubs in the league and how the league can be restructured and what may be next for London Irish

The Gallagher Premiership season may be over, but there is still a lot of confusion and questions over the future of London Irish. Corbs is joined by the BBC's Chris Jones, to discuss the latest stories, following on from a conditional extension from the RFU possibly being broken, and how that may affect the fate of the club in the near future.

Ross Hamilton is back on the Scrum Down to review the semi-final games in the Premiership over the weekend with Saracens and Northampton Saints facing off as well as Sale Sharks and Leicester Tigers.
