New Orleans Saints RBs coach Joel Thomas, a fixture for the past 9 seasons, interviewed for the RB coach position, bringing with him an impressive track record as the Saints' rushing attack lead the league with 148 touchdowns during his tenure. Welcome back to the NFL20 Podcast! After another ‘brief’ hiatus, Whetstone’s (fourth) finest NFL minds are back with our FOURTH (not third like Andrew said in the pod itself) episode of the season. In Week 11. Naturally. This installment sees the return of various joyous NFL20 tropes old and new. Amberish gets to rip Rob Ryan properly this time. There’s a mention of the famous 37-Burger, as well as ghostly Hakeem Nicks alter-ego Akiem Hicks, and the return of our perhaps-confusing use of James Bond actors to denote how well Andy Dalton is playing*. Elsewhere Andrew bets that Peyton Manning will never play again, we learn a fascinating factoid about baked beans, hear some outlandish Superb-Owl picks (not really) and our fans create an almighty ruckus all episode long- by which we mean Andrew’s laptop fans, and he couldn’t remember how to reduce the noise. Trust me, you get used to it eventually. Are you ready for some PODBAAALLL??!?! *It’s a Timothy Dalton reference, Sean Connery being the highest rating on the James Bond scale and George Lazenby being the lowest. This scale can only be applied to Andy Dalton, or I suppose if another quarterback comes in the league with a Bond actor’s surname like…Dave Brosnan or something.

You may remember Matt correctly called Donald Brown was OUT in Indy when people still believed he'd stay. Everybody's player they keep talking about is Trent Richardson. Last year's 1st round darling, into immortal bust in 2013. He's going at RB24 at pick 63 (6.3) on average in FFWC Drafts Matt has a STRONG opinion on Richardson you don't want to miss. PLUS: Reggie Wayne is coming back from off season ACL surgery. The warrior expects to make a full recovery but what should YOU expect? At pick 75, is he worth an early 7th? Don't forget that Hakeem Nicks is in the fold too. ADP of pick 91! Wow, how the mighty have fallen. You'll take Andrew Luck sure, but should you take him in the 7th round or risk it until the 9th and if you miss him, settle on a Matt Ryan type. What about Dwyane Allen? Will he effectively kill any value that Coby Fleener may or may not have had this year? PLUS PLUS... The FFWC launched May Madness this month. Dustin Ashby, the owner of the World Championship of Fantasy Football will be our guest this week! Black Friday is here which means Week 12 is here, which means the League Playoffs have begun! Hakeem Nicks, a top 5 WR in the league, is now OUT for several weeks. Where does that leave his owners? PLUS, Mike Williams will be OUT, is there anybody on Seattle worth starting? Moreno is rolling, AD is falling and what do we make of Jamaal Charles? Other topics: Can Steve Smith be trusted? Will Randy Moss screw his owners that have him on their bench against the worst secondary in the league? Can Blount run on the Ravens D? Will Vincent Jackson get started quick against the Colts? PLUS a visit by Vince Barkman who leads the way in the Red vs Blue ON-AIR league. How did he do it?
Wow, is Hakeem Nicks the real deal or what? Cowboy fans are devastated after watching Romo go down, but they did get rewarded with a Dez Bryant breakout. Most Britt owners are SICK after watching him score 50 on their bench and McFadden the same story. Favre's status is still up in the air, the Colts are banged up and the Jets host the Packers. Meanwhile, bye weeks and injuries continue to be a big part of this week's fantasy action. Do you plug in James Jones this week? Will Crayton repeat? Is this the week you finally get rewarded for drafting Jonathan Stewart? We'll discuss all this and a whole lot more, tonight on Red vs Blue!
