Send us a textThe episode kicks off with the breaking news that Brian Daboll's son, Christian Daboll, has left the Giants' coaching staff to pursue other opportunities. Christian was brought onto the staff by his father after working as a student coach at Penn State. From there, Drew and Rob shift their focus to the NFL's latest running back rankings, where Giants rookie Tyrone Tracy was ranked 25th by Maurice Jones-Drew. Despite starting the season with limited snaps, Tracy exploded onto the scene following Devin Singletary's injury, finishing the year with over 1,100 scrimmage yards. Next up, the conversation turns to Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown, who has been tapped for an interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars for their open GM position. Brown has been instrumental in helping Joe Schoen reshape the Giants' roster, and his potential departure could be a major loss for the front office. The quarterback rumors surrounding the Giants are heating up, and Drew and Rob dissect the latest speculation. Shedeur Sanders, son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, revealed on his brother's YouTube channel that he is scheduled for a pre-draft visit with the Giants. With New York still searching for its franchise quarterback, Sanders' visit could signal legitimate interest from the team. Perhaps the biggest bombshell of the episode is Colin Cowherd's report that the Giants are seriously considering a trade for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. According to Cowherd, the Giants are unimpressed with this year's draft class and are desperate to make a move that will keep Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen from being fired. The reported trade package would involve the Giants sending the No. 3 overall pick and a Day 2 selection to the Rams in exchange for Stafford. The hosts debate whether this move makes sense for the Giants, what it would mean for the future of the franchise, and if Schoen and Daboll are truly on the hot seat. The speculation doesn't stop there. Cowherd also floated a wild scenario where the Rams, after trading Stafford, could then pursue Aaron Rodgers as a short-term replacement. With the Rams reportedly frustrated with constant QB drama and Kelly Stafford making public comments about her husband's dissatisfaction, the possibility of Rodgers heading to Los Angeles has suddenly become a talking point. Drew and Rob break down how all of this could shake up the NFL landscape and whether the Giants should actually pull the trigger on a Stafford trade. Finally, the episode closes with an in-depth scouting report on Kyle McCord. The former Ohio State and Syracuse quarterback has been generating buzz heading into the draft, and the hosts analyze his strengths and weaknesses. McCord's impressive high school and college career, including setting ACC records and leading Syracuse to a standout season, makes him an intriguing mid-round prospect. However, concerns about his mobility, ability to handle pressure, and tendency to lock onto his first read could impact his draft stock. Drew and Rob discuss whether he's a legitimate option for the Giants and how he stacks up against other available quarterbacks. #giants #nygiants #nfSupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. In hour 3 of The Drive, Zach and Phil react to Maurice Jones-Drew’s comments on the Broncos brining in Najee Harris in the offseason. Should the Broncos bring in Harris and how much should they be willing to pay him in free agency? The guys agree that the Broncos need to address the running back position but aren’t sold on Harris. The other option for the Broncos would be to draft a running back in the upcoming draft, which ESPN’s Mel Kiper is projecting. If the Broncos were to draft a guy like Ashton Jeanty, would Sean Payton be able to maximize his talents? There are new reports for the Dallas Cowboys head coaching job and Coach Prime could potentially be back in the mix for the position. Are the guys buying that Prime could be coaching anywhere besides Boulder come this fall? As we hit the halfway mark of the NBA season, Zach and Phil had out grades for the Nuggets.

James Johnson and Phil Smith bring you the best and most up to date Jacksonville Jaguars news. "Touchdown Jaguars!" is a tribute to the prospective ownership group "Touchdown Jacksonville!" In 1991, the NFL announced plans to add two expansion teams and "Touchdown Jacksonville!" announced its bid for a team, and Jacksonville was ultimately chosen as one of five finalists. In November 1993, the NFL owners voted 26–2 in favor of awarding the 30th franchise to Jacksonville. James and Phil have been fans of the franchise ever since and have had the honor (and sometimes dishonor) of covering the team professionally since 2017. The rest as they say, is history.

I'm joined by former NFL rushing champ Maurice Jones-Drew as we break down the strategies and storylines leading up to Super Bowl 58. Hour 1 NFL Wild Card Weekend is over and things we thought would happen, didn't, and things we thought would happen, did. The biggest story of the weekend was the Cowboys getting blown out at home to the Packers. Mike McCarthy has one year left on his contract, but Gio said you cannot bring him back next season. It looks like the Packers made the right move picking Jordan Love over Aaron Rodgers. The Rams/Lions game last night was the best game of the weekend and Detroit earned another home game against the winner of tonight's Eagles/Bucs game. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Packers win over the Cowboys. Jerry thinks they should move on from McCarthy, but keep Dak Prescott. We heard from Mike McCarthy and Jerry Jones. The Lions beat the Rams and Lions radio was very excited about it. Nick Sirianni and Baker Mayfield talked about tonight's game in Tampa. In the final segment of the hour, the Browns got blown out to kick off Wild Card Weekend. Gio said the reason we talk about teams tanking is because there are guys like CJ Stroud available in the draft. The Texans are going to be loaded now for the next 4 or 5 years. Hour 2 We get a 4:30pm game today with the Steelers at Buffalo. Gio thinks the Bills will win 31-10, but he has not been so great with his picks in the playoffs. He had the Browns going to the Super Bowl. Boomer also wonders how the Giants beat the Packers this season. We talked about the best open head coaching jobs and if the Dallas job will be next. Jerry returns for an update, but first we talked about Jim Harbaugh to the Chargers as that's where Boomer thinks he's going. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Lions beating the Rams in Detroit. Dan Campbell called it the best environment he's ever been in. We heard from Cowboys radio as Dak threw a pick 6 to make it 27-0. Aaron Jones scored 3 TDs for the Packers. Mike McCarthy was asked about his future. Jerry Jones was surprised and disappointed. In the final segment of the hour, Maxx Crosby wants Antonio Pierce to stay with the Raiders and may ask for a trade if they don't keep him. There are also reports that MikeTomlin could take a break from coaching next season. Boomer likes Mike Vrabel there if Tomlin steps away. Hour 3 Gio can't believe the amount of coaches who made it to Wild Card weekend and their jobs are still on the line. Chris Russo was fooled by a fake Adam Schefter account saying Andy Reid was retiring before this past weekend's playoff game against the Dolphins. We also talked about the NFC North with the Lions and Packers looking great, and the Bears about to draft for Caleb Williams. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Cowboys getting blown out by the Packers. Dak Prescott said if McCarthy's job is on the line, so should his. Cee Dee Lamb said Jordan Love found a groove. The Lions beat the Rams last night in Detroit. Jimmy Johnson was fired up at the half and Jerry said he doesn't think McCarthy did that. Andy Reid had a frozen mustache and was asked about it after the game. Was it frozen snot or was it from his mouth? In the final segment of the hour, Jordan Love had a great game and also helped a college student stuck in the snow. And now the Packers will have another decade of great quarterback play. A caller doesn't like all the celebrating in the NFL but Boomer said you have to understand the intensity of these games. Hour 4 Tonight the Eagles play in Tampa and Gio thinks the Eagles are ‘cooked'. Of course the Bucs also only managed 9 points in their last game against the terrible Panthers.
